As I strolled through the store, I noticed that the interior was beautiful with absolutely amazing and gorgeous pieces of furniture and art for sale. All of the art and furniture were very expensive!! There were several pieces that I would have bought if they weren't so expensive. It was nice to be able to walk through and admire all of the unique artwork and pieces for sale. I appreciated being able to walk through and see everything, but the prices were disappointing.

Now I buy some of my dress pants here for work, but tops are usually ill-fitting or I don't care for the styles. However, their baby clothes, men's, shoes and housewares are pretty good! They usually have great sales to top it off and are not exclusive with their discounts. When they say 1/2 off everything, they really mean it! Items are easy to return or exchange.

We had a splendid experience today at Mary's 2nd Time Around a quaint, hidden gem of a consignment…read more/ 2nd hand store at Lindale Mall in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The store had a wide variety of everything: art, home furnishings, clothing for men and women, some vintage pieces, jewelry, and accessories. There were also books, and lots of things to explore and examine! We found several items that we needed/wanted and the quality of the merchandise was much higher than we would typically find at a Goodwill or other type of shop. In addition she takes card payment through Square and shoppers can use Visa, American Express, Mastercard at the shop! We also had the opportunity to meet Mary, the owner and proprietress of this minority-owned (female/African American) small business. Mary answered all our questions and allowed us to browse without interfering in our shopping experience but was mindful and observant of the things that we were looking for. She unobtrusively offered valuable suggestions when asked if certain items were in-stock and knowledgably directed us to the things she had that we wanted. When we spoke with Mary, she said she has been in the mall for about a year and would love to welcome you to visit her and see what she has to offer. She takes quality consignments as well. We give this location 5 X 5 Stars and will 100% be visiting the next time we are at the Mall. We invite everyone to stop by and say that Kate and Blair sent you!

Tuesday Morning has been around for quite some time-long before I jumped on the HomeGoods and T.J. Maxx bandwagon. I love that this store moved into what used to be Party City. Previously the Cedar Rapids Tuesday Morning was in the Town & Country shopping plaza. The old store was dark especially as you shopped near the back of the store. The new location is bright and open and everything is easy to see. I can't say I've ever visited Tuesday Morning with a list, more of an idea of what I was looking for. Think towels, pillows, bedding, pet supplies, unique candles and gifts. Highly, highly recommend Tuesday Morning (yes, even over HomeGoods and T.J. Maxx). I find TM to be less congested than the aforementioned and I don't think the younger Millennials have quite caught on to how awesome it is. :)
