Went to Hobby Lobby to check on framing prices. Vartan, one of the framers was fantastic! Not only was he professional and helpful, he was very kind and friendly. He had more than one customer but managed to keep both of us engaged in our purchase. I appreciated how he was able to demonstrate what my finished product would look like and when asked provided his opinion on the layout. Vartan is the kind of sales representative I miss in today's big box stores. He will be the reason why I will return. Completely different story when checking out at the front of the store. I selected an item where it had a 50% sign on the shelf but when I went to purchase I was told it was not on sale. The supervisor/manager was called who took, in my opinion, her own sweet time to walk 15 feet to the register I was at to say the item was not on sale. I offered to show her the item and sign but she did not want to be bothered. That is the person that I prefer to not see in customer service. read more

Great place to shop for any crafter. They have some of the cutest decorations for the home. This was my go to spot when I used to see I love their selection of fabric and I love that they have great deals on some of their fabrics too. Another find I love is the amount of kids crafts at great prices that they have especially for the holidays. This is a great place for popular holiday decorations and seasonal decorations. read more

They have some nice stuff, but the merchandising is purposely deceptive. Items are often displayed with a sign reading 50% off but it will exclude many of the items grouped there. This practice can be confusing when you get to the register. It can also be embarrassing. They also didn't have many of the items that I was looking for, and the lines are pretty long. I do wish they offered cake decorating classes or more hands on experiences. Basically, I would like them to put the "hobby" back in Hobby Lobby. I stopped by Hoppy Lobby to get some Ice cream containers for homemade Ice cream and although they could not fill that request we found so many more bargains. I got some great pictures and trinkets for my bathroom or so I thought... They have countless 50% off sings posted throughout the store and items piled high under the signs only to drop the bomb at the register that only "certain items" on the display are 50% off; this practice is unethical and misleading! Not the sort of stuff you'll get at the Home Depot, these are quality brushes and it's hard to tell from Amazon if they're really any good. So here we headed. Massive store and we wandered a bit before we found the section with the stuff we wanted. A terrific selection with a variety from cheap to not cheap. We made our selection and headed up front to pay for it, of course picking up at least one other item from an endcap before we escaped. Checking this particular brand against Amazon, the prices were within 5% to 10% of their price. That's pretty good. read more

For a "Christian owned and operated" buisness , this store gave me the worst shopping experience of my life. I am a Christian , and I have very long dreadlocks and a full beard , symbolic of the " Vow of the Nazarite" ( numbers chapter 6 ) . I was falsely accused of theft , to the situation of out of nowhere , being surrounded by 3 police officers and one of the store managers , 2 on each side of me , completely blocking me in one of the bead isles , while my girlfriend is sitting on the floor directly in front of one of the walls of beads , and if you've never been in a hobby lobby , there are literally thousands of beads in just this one isle. All 4 of them , ( 3 officers and 1 manager ) are within arms reach , or closer , so none of them followed the 6 foot social distance mandate for covid. One officer says loudly , "what are you doing ! " Directly to my GF, she's still looking at the beads completely unaware. I answered him , " we are looking for beads for the handmade stuff we make " . The manger is very intensely eying me this entire time, so I ask him , " what's the issue here?" , I get no answer from any of them. The officer then aggressively demands my gf empty her purse. She replies in shock , " what , you think I'm a thief ? I am not a thief" , so she dumps out everything in her purse onto the ground , all her pockets , takes off her hoodie handing it to store manager , asking , " here you wanna search my jacket too!?" , He never responded to her at all. So she showed them that she had not stolen or concealed any property of the store. The officer who is all of 2-3 feet from me on the other side blocking us in the isle then asks if I minded if he could search me. I told him she had not stolen anything as all of 4 them had just intensely seen. I tell him yeah , I do mind an no I don't want you searching me. He steps even closer , hand on holster of his firearm, and then insists, " well , will you empty your pockets for me? " So I pull out everything , naming the items as I show all of them , told him exactly what I had before hand as well , the as I'm pulling them out , " keys, wallet,money,phone,napkin" put it all back , as my gf is trying so hard to not cry from the humiliation and treatment, this store had to call 3 separate armed officers to demand we be searched in front a of a very busy, and highly occupied Saturday afternoon (3:30) , never giving us an answer as to why we were treated this way, or any apology after being found we were innocent and just trying to find the right beads and clay for our custom necklaces, braclets etc. I feel we were both racially, and criminally profiled based on this stores employee's and managers judgement, because of how we look,dress , and my hair and beard. My gf was so upset she left her cellphone on the floor in the store , and we had to go back today to get it back , she even called ahead , an when we got there , they made us wait way longer than it should have taken to return it to her. I asked for a manager as soon as we arrived, an the employees at the front would not tell me the names of any, said there was 3 working at the time yesterday, the manager "Julia" told me there was only her and ONE other manager at the time of of this nasty shopping experience and refused to give us any names. We will never shop here ever again. And I will file a formal complaint as well as tell everyone the way they treated us. read more

8150 Ikea Blvd., Suite 30 This hobby lobby store is located in a very popular shopping area. Parking is abundant as they are situated in the parking lot between a pet supply store and the Ikea furniture supply store. The store is brightly lit, very organized, and full of color. What I was looking for was located in the sewing department so I quickly made my way to the back of the store where the fabric, thread and notions were located. I needed a button and although they have a good amount of buttons I was a bit disappointed to see that the selection was very ordinary and less than motivating. I did make a purchase of buttons for my project $25 but I was less then enthusiastic about what I ended up buying. Although the store is full of craft supplies and things for the home including also party goods the store is designed more for the crafts person. The true seamstress, tailor or person who is creating a type of sewing project may need to visit a fabric store for a wider selection. The staff was pleasant however it would be nice if the cashiers were just a little more timely in getting the lines moving as I find there is always a very slow process at the register. Be sure to download the Hobby Lobby Coupon from their website as you can save 40% on any one regularly priced item and there are always sales. Other than buttons I feel Hobby Lobby is a crafter's dream and I have spent hours in this store on many occasions. It is worth the visit. read more

I came here in search of some flower/plant pots for my new plant babies. Hobby Lobby will get your coins if you let it. They seem to ALWAYS have a sale, so it's super hard to stay focused when you go in or you'll leave with things you didn't even think to get! The sales associates were super nice. I had an idea of what I wanted, but was informed that I needed to make sure the pots were made to hold water. Unfortunately, the only plant pots I found were the terra-cotta ones. There was a booklet next to the various sized terra cotta plant holders to give ideas on how to decorate/design your pots, but I was honestly disappointed that they did not carry more options outside of those. I was told to go to the Seasonal/Sale section with the possibility of finding some other pots, but I did not. read more

They just had something special to pages. I now purchase them as gifts as well Well I purchased 1 booklet, started using it, then realized 5 pages were missing from the booklet compared to the last one I bought and I threw my receipt away but it still had the hobby lobby sticker on it. Spoke to several people, had to wait to get the exact match item but they exchanged it the item for me. I purchased lights from here that did not work. When I returned them, cashier Sharyn laughed and got her store manager. The manager said I can't return them because she's not able resell them. I have never been in a Hobby Lobby before till recently..I was impressed with all the best stuff they had in the store. The employee's we're very helpful and friendly too. If you love decor or things to hang up in your home's then give this place a chance. They are not expensive either. After many, many years of shielding my degrees from dust by leaving them in the package they were shipped in, I decided that it's finally time to upgrade their resting space to a wall in my new office. Hobby Lobby did a good job getting these matted and framed in no time. A machine does the work, so it's precise. The only problem came when I attempted to hang one of the degrees, only to realize that it was framed upside down. Because of the way the frame is made, I couldn't just turn it around. So I had to to return to Hobby Lobby to get it corrected. There were no issues, but my friend advocated on my behalf and asked if we could get wire string on the back at no charge for our troubles. Needless to say she still charged the full price of $3 whole dollars -_-. While there was no obligation to do this, it was the least she could've done. Nevertheless, matte and frame for $30 isn't a bad deal. While waiting for the new framing, we browsed. This was my first time getting a good look around Hobby Lobby. They have lots of options to decorate and to make your own crafts. I found a simple "Eat" sign for the kitchen for less than $10. read more

I have no complaints with this location (although I wanted a more diverse selection of acrylic paints), so don't think that it's a bad store or anything. This is one of the nicer Hobby Lobby stores I have been to. I wish it wasn't such a pain to get over to this place. You don't just drop by this Hobby Lobby. It is too far out of the way, you are either running from Walmart or headed or from IKEA. I like this location because it has plenty of parking and a great selection. If you haven't been to Hobby Lobby then it is much like Michaels, haven't been there either? It is a craft store. Don't know what a craft store is? Come and check this place out then. Last week I was browsing the wedding section looking for decorations for my wedding reception. I work till 7 o'clock every day and wasnt able to arrive until 7:40, therefore im already rushing to get what i need. They make final call for guests at 7:55 to grab your final items and head to the checkout area. As I'm leaving the aisle with my items I was approached by a worker, short, hispanic female with glasses. She goes "what the f***, you guys are still in here we are closed". LIKE WHAT?! What kind of customer service is this. I was baffled that an employee would say something like that to a customer. Me being the person I am, I walked away and didn't say anything. But I could've been the customer that threw a fit and made a big deal out of it. I simply walked to the checkout, rang up and left. Leaving the store i regret not saying something to at least someone. Like how could you speak to a customer in such a disrespectful manner, never seen anything like it, couldn't believe it. I came in looking for braiding cord to put in my hair. I asked one of the employees and mistakenly said "braiding coil." She gave me the ugliest look and said "you're looking for what?!" It was super rude and her attitude was very flip, as if she didn't want to be bothered. I went to Michael's the night before and had a much more pleasant experience. This was after attempting to go to Hobby Lobby, thinking they closed at 9p instead of 8p. I see that there aren't many cars in the parking lot so I rode slowly past the door to see what their store hours were and could see an employee standing on the inside of the door rudely motioning for me to keep driving. I gladly went to Michael's. The employees at Hobby Lobby have a demeanor that isn't warm and inviting. My interaction with the few employees that assisted me was dry and made it clear that they didn't care much about creating a pleasant experience for the customer. I wouldn't recommend anyone come here when Michael's is less than 5 minutes away. read more

Probably the worst Hobby Lobby I've been to. No customer service at all. Each time I've been to this location in the past couple months, the employees are blocking shopping areas with multiple carts full of shipment. I understand you have to do shipment, but at 2 pm on a Saturday and they are deciding to reconfigure shelves in the Christmas area where tons of people are trying to shop? The employees are rude and don't offer to move anything, they just stare at you and wait for you to get out of their way pretty much. There were multiple areas I couldn't even look at items.
