The merchandise itself is great, some prints of birds caught my eye, and I'm usually not a fan of mass-produced art at all. If you're looking for bed linens, this is a great place to check out! We continued to browse while my husband overheard the woman telling the elderly man I'm assuming her husband to keep an eye on us. Being the only brown people in the store one can only assume it's for that reason. If you are a minority I do not recommend this place. Knowing the antique community is very small and not kindly to minorities. There are far better places that won't profile you in the Birmingham area

Each booth is chock full of different collectibles and I think the prices are reasonable for the items I looked at. I also spoke with the two Cashiers when I paid for my purchase and they were friendly. The store is air conditioned, pet friendly, and there are plenty of parking spaces located in front of the store and at the side of the building. I hope to stop by again the next time I'm in the vicinity, because I didn't have time to walk downstairs to checkout the collectibles in the basement.

Soho Retro is one fabulous shop!…read more Steve, the owner, greeted me with a mimosa and his adorable pup. He instantly became my favorite person I'd met in Birmingham. The furniture, art, and other decorative pieces were gorgeous and priced really well. There were some unique finds that you probably wouldn't look for but would be glad you stumbled upon and lots of classic pieces too. I became obsessed with a couple of items but wanted to measure before making a purchase. Steve happily provided his card in case things worked out. Unfortunately, I returned home to find that my hunch was correct and the pieces wouldn't be a good fit. No worries. I'll for sure keep Soho in mind during the rest of my redecorating!
