If you are ever in the market for a neat lamp, her husband makes them and they are amazing. All kinds of unique pieces turned into lamps. This is my go-to spot if I need a gift for my mom, sister etc or just something for myself :) She also does events with local Hamilton businesses. I read that a lot of items come from Asia (I saw a lot from India) and apparently they have buyers that just go out and look for this type of eclectic furniture in bulk and one offs. On 5/25, after contacting them several times and being told they had no idea where in the process our order was, we contacted Bassett directly and were told 1) our order was not even placed until 3/30 and 2) our order was not even in production yet. We were assured by Shauna at that time that if we did not cancel the order with them that we would have it in June. On 6/28, my husband went to the store and was told, again by Shauna, that they did not have the order but they could surely have it in July. Also, that they are moving, which was evident by the appearance of the showroom, but couldn't give out a forwarding address yet. He asked then that the order be cancelled and we be given a full refund. We will see if this company has any integrity, and returns our money after this debacle.

There are so many plants I have never seen before, a truly incredible selection! I bought my mom a succulent that looked like a Pokémon head. I think they also do terrarium classes. Besides the plants they have so many unique gifts like fun home decor and a few clothing items. But what truly makes this place special is the owner. We only talked briefly but he was working the register with his daughter(not 100%) sure but you could tell he was a nice guy. Someone knocked over a plant and he comforted them and cleaned it up.
