My goodness! Timing is EVERYTHING I say LOL. Okay, so yes, HL is my favorite hobby store, probably the only major one in any given region but hey, it's still amazing okay. Not only are they faith based, (Christian), they offer some pretty cool stuff all year round. Although these HL stores are cool with an inventory that changes for holidays, seasons and occasions, some of the employees attitudes are parked on moody year round. Today was my first time at this particular location and the inventory was fantabulous! I got a huge wall picture frame (last one tho) for $17 marked down from $69. It's not cheap either because it's heavy lol. Okay, so I don't qualify quality with weight but I could make that argument for some things lol. Oh and these extremely tall and wide glass vases I got, spoke life into me when I gazed upon their glory AND they were 50% off....as were the flowers and greenery. Super cool place....check'em out!!

This store would have gotten 5 stars from me no matter when I visited but it's especially impressive considering the setting and season. A place like Hobby Lobby dying Christmas season and during a sale should be an absolute circus you would think. But nothing was further from the truth! Everything in the store was so organized and easy to find (see all the pics). Even the the store was packed, it felt easy to get around. Plus I was absolutely amazed at how quickly the check-out lines were moving. And although I admit, I did find several items that had damage, it's hard to hold that against them when the sale was 50% off all Christmas decor! What a deal!! I ended up leaving with 2 Christmas ornaments, 3 Nutcrackers, and a roll of packing tape all for $40.

Home decor for the Christians that like their sacred text in a fun font.

This Hobby Lobby surprised me. It was like walking into a Home Goods or World Market! So much to decorate your home with... Im used to a humble unassuming little craft store but this was way cooler with everything a personal could need to decorate and fancy up their home!

    Too early?

Yeap 5 stars! This place is very similar to Michaels. Awesome sales throughout the store. Luckily everything we needed was 50% off, sale changes every week. They have all sorts of things here, great for DIY projects, scrap booking, furniture and loads of Christmas items. You can also find coupons on retailmenot or their store website. No need to print out the coupon, just show it on your phone. The staff members were super sweet and helpful. I got a diamond studded wine stopper for $2.49, SCORE! Overall, no complaints. Thanks for making our first trip to Hobby Lobby a great experience.

I have a love hate relationship with Hobby Lobby, most recently it has been less love but not necessarily hate. It really depends on what I am looking for that day. They have a really strange way of organizing the store which I think is an attempt to compel you to wander around and potentially find something you didn't anticipate buying. Unless you have a great coupon, which they do circulate from time to time, the prices are just OK for what you are getting. That being said, it completely depends on what you are looking at buying. I found the most amazing glass cloche that is comparable in size to one I have been eyeing at Restoration Hardware for over $100. Granted it is not identical but it looks pretty close and I only paid $28 plus tax. It still looks expensive and I love it. All that being said, in a general sense, this place is not bad for this type of store. It's basically Michael's on steroids.

I did a quick walk through with my kids recently and I will say its HUGE and filled to the top with crafty stuff. In my eyes I seen mostly fake flowers, bushes, berries and twigs. So maybe the appeal is lost on this particular person. Also I saw Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving , etc, decorations everywhere. Like the holiday monster threw up. I seen alot of potential gift ideas and fun to do things, if I am ever on the hunt for something, this place is now in my rotation. Its big and grand and has a bunch of decorating ideas, so with that I say A-ok :-)

I finally said "you are basically telling me to return my $1200 brand new sewing machine". There is not another Baby Lock dealer in area. Would not recommend this store for any purchase. It would be less than one star if possible…read more Bad attitude, completely unprofessional. I came to look for a Bernina sewing machine -- they generally cost around $2500 to $6500, so this is not a grab-and-go machine you could pick up at Joanns, and definitelly not an everyday purchase for me. The lights were off in the store around 2 pm on a Saturday (business hours?) I finally found a stick-on door bell amidst the sticker chaos by the door, and Earlean, who clearly had no time for me, arrived and unlocked the door. As she blocked the door (I'm over 65 yrs and not a particularly scary looking person), I told her why I was there and she allowed me about 12 feet into the store (never turning the lights on -- the only available light was from the front windows) to where she had a wall of display machines. She offered no information except prices for two machines I asked about. No information about pros and cons of various modles. No information about payment plans (that I know were being offered by Bernina at the time). She offered me absolutely no reason to purchase a machine. I don't know what other products that she carries in the store because she very quickly ushered me out of the dark store before I could see anything beyond the machine display wall. Does she carry fabric? Notions? Someone mentioned vacuums? Anything? This was a really, really, unpleasent experience. I ended up buying a used machine sight unseen, and paying shipping from a New York store because they had great customer service. And anytime I called and asked questions from that store they were very helpful, including after purchase.. It's too bad we don't have a quality store nearby. Bernina sewing machines are so costly because the are incredibly well made and highly computerized. There is a lot to learn when your start out on this machine, it would have been really helpful to have an initial session from a professional learning the basics. Unfortunately this same woman operates the store in Slidell. So you have to do some serious driving or shop online to get a machine from a qualified dealer. I would so love to have a active store with group classes and a community feeling. But no, we have Earlean.
