Same thing happened in the construction material area inside the store. Once engaged they are excellent at helping. Now the staff working the checkout areas are the of the worse of the worse. On their cell phone, not paying attention, gathering amongst themselves. The customer should be a priority. At least come up to them greet them and ask if they need assistance. Also, no one wants to deal with someone who seems to be angry or not engaged with what the job calls for, courteous, pleasant, and knowledgeable staff ready and willing to help you make your purchases. They will walk right by you seeing you are struggling trying to find an item and will pass you by as though you are invisible. Michael's has all types of stuff. The store is large and well stocked. I can only give three stars because I only go here when forced, but I do see the value of a place like this. It does seem like I am the only dude in the store most times I have been. One suggestion that would improve the experience is a bar at the front of the store. That way I can enjoy myself while the other half peruses for non dude things.

This time I was returning an office chair that was nice but just not exactly what I was looking for. The online staff had set up a return and went above and beyond to be helpful. There was a miscommunication on the return process, but the store manager completed the return, and helped me find the right chair at the right price, which I'm now very happy with. This store didn't have much in there clearance area . Overall, the store didn't seem as big as others to me, but it may be because of the way it was arranged. I didn't find any outfits I was interested in, but I was able to purchase 2 pairs of shoes for under $20 which is pretty impressive.
