When I was a teenager I remember not really appreciating all the "old lady" accessories and other items. Lol. This place now seems larger, easier to manuever in, and with many more options for gifts for loved ones than ever before. There was everything from some women's clothing, jewelry, slippers, sunglasses, and bags to kitchenware, some gourmet food items, bath bombs, other body care items, cards for every occassion, and books. Many wedding registries are created here because they also have quite an array of home decor. Not to mention several Christian faith-based items like crosses, jewelry, books, and other decor. There is a small men's section and also a baby section. I learned of a new tool for little ones while I was here back on August 5, 2023 - it's called toniebox. From the tonies website, this device is best described as "imagination-building, screen-free digital listening experience that plays stories, songs, and more." It seems like an excellent way for parents who don't want to give their children a tablet or other device to engage in listening and other important life skills. Horsefeathers was selling the starter boxes and Tonies characters for 50% off. There are many affordable gifts here plus... they offer free gift wrapping! The staff members are friendly and willing to help you - just ask if they're busy. The worst thing is their parking. There is very limited parking, but it is typically only crowded during major holidays.

I used to love coming here as a little girl with my mom because she knew I would never touch anything breakable. Lol. They still have a lovely store all decorated for Christmas as of November 16, 2024. We were immediately greeted by Celina. What an interesting spelling of her name, right? She assisted me with questions about a twin-size bed for my daughter. She gave me her card and took my information as well. Since we are in the month of November, I'm grateful for Miller-Waldrop for a few reasons: 1) My brother bought me a bed from here when I first moved back to New Mexico. It is still so comfortable. I know it was high end, but it was so worth it. 2) The salespeople are not pushy, but they will check in on you from time to time. 3) They offer unique pieces like this coffee table that I love, love, love... it's like a tree stump... not symmetrical. Our first visit here in June was lackluster. The store itself is okay for the most part, but a bit disheveled and disorganized in other areas. I like that we didn't have to flag down an attendant to open up a dressing room. Our second visit on July 3, 2024 was a little better. My oldest picked out some birthday clothes. One article of clothing was missing a price tag. Our checkout attendant had another employee grab another skirt just like it. She took forever! Then she came back with a skirt that was the complete opposite... "Will it accept it at this price?" "Sure," I exasperated. I won't be rushing back any time soon, but it is an option for clothes, home decor, and gift ideas.

We went for plush, soft dark, reclining, and with charging ports inside the consoles. The complete opposite of what I moved here from California. I could have paid cash up front, but like to have back up plans especially as a single mom, so I decided to do a 6 months no interest plan. The worst part was the approximate 20-minute phone call with like 5 different representatives due to a technological error. All of the employees were friendly & helpful. They gave my daughters and I bottled water while we waited and reluctantly for me (because I normally don't let anything run amok) allowed my girls to play hide and seek throughout the large store. Lol. They did the ol' under promise, over deliver routine that I love. I originally was told my 3-piece order would not be white glove-delivered until the end of May - after Memorial Day. It was delivered Friday, May 10th! The delivery guys - including Marcus - from Lubbock were prompt and careful with my order as well as my house. Sure, I'd do it all over again.

I have been searching for a few things for my new house…read more My mom asked me, "Have you been to Nam's [Antiques & Collectibles] behind Big Lots?" It donned on me finally where this place was. Getting here is like driving through a life-size version of Ninetendo's Excitebike: the parking lots are filled with huge potholes, speed bumps, and unmarked spots. (Did I just show my age with that analogy?) There is free parking. Once inside, they don't allow large bags due to shoplifting. Some spaces are so tight that I would have hated having an oversized purse. Their vendors have mostly recognizable boundaries, so in the case that an item is (unusually) unmarked you'll be able to ask for the price without too long of a wait. There were quite a few pieces I would consider if I was move-in ready. There were tons of books I'll most likely be purchasing in a few months. Plus some nice jewelry & home decor antiques. Great finds at Nam's with friendly, assistive staff members.

As it is a smaller shop, I did not see any furniture for purchase, but they do have the following: + books + toys + home decor + jewelry + clothes (children's, men's & women's) + shoes The ladies working when I popped in on September 24, 2024 were friendly and assistive. Halloween costumes and decorations were at the front of the store. They accept donations any time during business hours of which I posted a photo.

It's not like there are a ton of shopping choices in Hobbs, America…read more Kountry Korral Boutique was around when I lived in this Southeastern New Mexico town many years ago, and it's still surviving the ups and downs of the oil and gas economy that Hobbs depends on as well as COVID-19. I miss the Tea Room that once was next door, but now it is a different cafe... Outlaw Grill or something. My uncle really enjoyed his ginormous, overpriced green chile burger there recently. I haven't partaken, but back to the boutique... This place offers baby and wedding registries. Many of the items are fairly unique. The clothes, in my humble opinion, are simply overpriced and more geared to more mature ladies. ;) Definitely not my styles or fit. The staff members always have the place open! They rarely IF AT ALL close to set up for Christmas debuts like *cough cough* another place *Horsefeathers* did when I was mostly recently shopping (10/28/20). That's why they get my full 5 star love. When I went in the other day to ask where the owner was moving she smiled and said it was a secret. Well, darn. I guess others had already tried sweet talking her too. Lol. She also does not have an estimated open date due to personal/health reasons that were just discovered the day before I visited. I picked up a few sweets for my sweethearts - chocolates and caramels and a jar of locally-made honey: Abdallah Individually-Wrapped Caramel = $0.76 Abdallah Valentine Individually-Wrapped Chocolates = $0.78 Hot Chocolate Stirrers = $2.00 each Beeman Honey = $15.99 This store has so many great gifts for all ages... particularly geared towards the Christian faith. I bought several Christmas gifts here last year and returned today to buy several hand painted Mexican planters. I love the variety of planter patterns and sizes the store offers. They also have tons of dishes. The store owner, Delia, is delightful and worked hard to answer all my questions and help me find the perfect pieces. She even let me go into her storage area to look at items that weren't on display. I love this store and will most definitely be back!
