BUT... not 1 employee said excuse me, may I help you, are you finding what you need, etc. Only 1 employee spoke to me & that's when I said hi, how are you- because we ran into eachother. Very rude when we chose this store to shop over others around town. Prices are not that great that warrant this lack of customer service. I could absolutely go elsewhere or AMAZON to get the same or similar merch. Please keep this in mind, brick & mortars- it is very important to keep a good relationship with your community. This place is Huge!!!! I stopped here to get some supplies for a school project and was impressed by the selection here. Wow, they have everything. Decor for the house, all types of art supplies, model airplanes, beautiful picture frames, great deals on coloured poster boards, oils, paints, glass for candle making, fabrics, and so many other things. You walk in here and go in the back and then you realize you only see half of the store. The right and to the rear is another store on its own. I asked a guy for help and he was very knowledgeable and friendly. I'll come here a lot more now as my boys get older. I'd highly recommend this place. CREEPY EMPLOYEES Today I was made to feel very uncomfortable and creeped out in the Hobby Lobby Store #262 on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Rd. on 12/17/2019. I was shopping for jewelry findings. (I make jewelry and love Hobby Lobby's awesome selection). I was debating my options when I noticed an employee, name tag read ASHLEY, staring at me. She had been in the aisle when I arrived. I noted this because I SMILED AT HER, BUT SHE GAVE NO EYE CONTACT, DID NOT GREET ME, DID NOT ACKNOWLEDGE ME IN ANY WAY. But I eventually noticed her following me about between the two jewelry aisles. Whatever, employees move around, makes sense. I then went to the clearance aisle to look for more jewelry findings and SHE WAS STILL FOLLOWING ME. I was made really uncomfortable by this, because SHE STILL HAD NOT ADDRESSED ME IN ANY WAY. I was getting really CREEPED OUT, so I started to purposefully walk into different aisles randomly, just to see what she would do...Sure enough, she was right behind me every step of the way. Not saying anything. JUST STARING AT ME. I finally walked into an aisle and turned around, purposefully waited for ASHLEY and she almost ran into me, she was practically running. I POINT-BLANK ASKED ASHLEY WHY SHE WAS FOLLOWING ME. (I've had male customers do this creepy stalking of me in the past in other establishments (hello Walmart and Kroger at 11pm) and there have been a few past dangerous incidents for me.) ASHLEY stuttered something like, "no-no....ma'am, I'm just picking things off the floor." "It's a little obvious," I said. "IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE OBVIOUS," ASHLEY MUTTERED as I turned around. "I'm sorry??" I asked. "It's obvious...uh... ma'am. Things need to be picked up. That's...uh obvious. People can fall in these things." Okay. So, I finally got it. I now realized that she suspected me of shoplifting and was trying to make me uncomfortable, I guess, as a deterrent? BUT SHE WAS SERIOUSLY SCREWING IT UP. Why she suspected me, I don't know. I didn't wear a purse, I had a closed clutch in my hand. But WHAT I WAS TOLD FROM THIS INTERACTION WAS THAT I WAS NOT WELCOME IN THAT STORE. ASHLEY WAS PURPOSEFULLY MAKING ME UNCOMFORTABLE. ASHLEY HAD TOLD ME AS SUCH. I was to feel uncomfortable. I was not wanted in that store. And Ashley said this loud and clear. She followed me all the way to the check-out where I purchased my items. I then requested of the cashier (who was very nice) if she could please direct me to a manager and she pointed to a manager who's name tag read STEFANIE. STEFANIE had actually been in the vicinity of the jewelry findings aisle as well. STEFANIE ALSO HAD NOT ONCE ACKNOWLEDGED ME, HAD NOT ONCE ADDRESSED ME. I suddenly recalled she had been there too, I guess rearranging product, but she always somehow managed to do it right over me, so that STEFANIE WAS ARCHED OVER ME IF I CROUCHED DOWN TO LOOK AT ITEMS LOWER ON THE WALL, OR WAS ALMOST TOUCHING ME AS I STOOD STANDING. THIS REALLY CREEPED ME OUT AND MADE ME UNCOMFORTABLE, IN RETROSPECT, HAVING AN EMPLOYEE BE SO PHYSICALLY CLOSE TO ME. But, I still explained my situation to STEFANIE AND HOW UNCOMFORTABLE ONE OF HER EMPLOYEES, ASHLEY, MADE ME FEEL. "Was this in the jewelry aisle?" As a matter of fact, STEFANIE, yes, it was. "That's her department. She walks around there." SHE SMIRKED SARCASTICALLY. When I explained further, citing the fact ASHLEY had insinuated that she was TRYING TO MAKE ME FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE. STEFANIE replied that she didn't know why she did that. And wished me a Merry Christmas. And that was it. NO APOLOGY. JUST INVALIDATION THAT I HAD BEEN HARASSED BY HER EMPLOYEE, ASHLEY. I GENUINELY LOVE HOBBY LOBBY!!! I'm an avid shopper with them as I enjoy making jewelry. But I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS LOCATION AS I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED WITH THE WAY MANAGER STEFANIE AND HER EMPLOYEE ASHLEY CONDUCTED THEMSELVES TOWARDS ME TODAY. I understand one can't always know if a customer is shoplifting or not. I don't know what indication I gave that I was shoplifting. (I can't. I don't think there was anything suspicious, I didn't do anything illegal). But the number one deterrent for shoplifting is great customer service. GREET THE CUSTOMER. Ask open-ended questions. Converse. Become their sudden best friend and aid them in their shopping. As a former retail employee myself, I know this and so practiced it. But I NEVER sought out to purposefully make a customer feel unwelcome or uncomfortable. I never harassed a customer the way I WAS HARASSED TODAY. And that was both their intentions. Words cannot express how disappointed I was by this interaction as, again, I'm a huge fan of Hobby Lobby. I will not be returning to this location as long as "service" like that is considered appropriate by the management. Thank you for your time. read more

Framing Department is absolutely amazing! I am a beginner artist and was getting ready for my first art exhibit. Tina and her team gave me great suggestions on what frames to use and matting to show off my artwork. I was able to stay within budget but still able to have that 5 star look I was hoping to capture. There's a love hate for this place. I love that it has everything I want and I hate that they only allow one 40% off coupon per person per day. I need to get everything!!! So I have to keep coming back each day to complete one project... The place is huge and it has basically everything a crafty person can dream of under one roof. Most seasonal stuff are usually 40-60% off but it's not always what I need. :/ It is difficult to get immediate assistance because their staff are limited. You would have to chase one down or walk all the way back to the check out aisle to ask for help. They need to hire a person assigned to each department... I managed to find a bathroom which, I'll be honest, was my main reason for entering, but I couldn't help but get lost in the aisles and aisles of paint colors, brushes, and canvasses. I am updating this review because my blood is boiling. I came here tonight and while standing in line overheard a super entitled woman at the next register ripping the cashier a new one. She had just spoken to a manager about exchanging some stupid lights because they were "pink" instead of "purple". After the manager walked away she then took the time to accuse the cashier of smirking at her and called him an unprofessional jerk, several times while he was apologizing to her. It took everything in me not to tell her where to stick those lights. To the employee who was getting berated: don't let people like this get you down. I've been in your shoes before and it isn't fun but not all customers are jerkwagons. To management: if you get a complaint about this cashier, I can give my version of events. He did a great job!!! To the daytime so called manager (Stepanie B) that works on Friday 11/15/2019 at this location, flat out lied to me that the items I attempted to purchase weren't on sale when I had clearly looked on line to see whats on sale the day before. She gladly put the items away clearly with a smirk on her face, She didn't even attempt to get price check or anything, afterward she laughed about it with her co workers, clearly showed how proud of how she treated her customer- very obnoxious! I didn't want to stoop to her (unprofessional) level so I said to her I didn't need it. I have been shopping at Hobby Lobby for many years I have never had this awful experience with this unapologetic individual her name tag says manager?! really? , this experience with this individual will not keep me from shopping at HL, but I will not step my foot at this location ever again! What a waste of my time! Poor management and customer service skills. Later that day I drove to another HL attempt to purchased the same exact items and received the 50 percent off ! Sadly I shouldn't have to drive another 10 miles to get the 50 percent off when clearly the items should be on sale that week. SMH! read more

Hobby Lobby's huge store on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road is a place I enjoy shopping and would rate 4 - 5 stars. That was before I purchased a jar of Chalk Paint and discovered it was partially set up after using it to paint a cabinet and then having to scrape off the lumpy mess. The employees treated my return as if I was trying to get over on them. The main concern was how to get this jar of dried up paint back on the shelf to be sold to someone else. A refund was grudgingly issued after some back-and-forth with the supervisor and I was told I was lucky to get it! Buyer beware. read more

AS TRUMP WOULD SAY: THIS PLACE IS HUUGE!! Wow, this is one of the larger stores and reminds me of the one that is in Cumming, GA. It is divided into two separate spaces instead of one rather large space. It is a newer store and is obviously well shopped. I say this because the items that I was looking for today were each sold out. I understand this is only temporary because the truck delivers a couple of times per week. But dang!! I have never seen sections of fall decor sold out so early. I was shocked. Also, I was looking for tulle and it too, (the shelves), looked as if they had been ransacked! I was told that people are actively buying up materials for Halloween costumes which had totally escaped me for a moment. No problem, I love that these stores are everywhere and I can shop them all. I will just shop my local store for what I need. This store has it all and now they are fully stocked for Christmas so if you want something specific, now is the time to buy. Holiday decor is always on sale at the Lobby so don't even think about paying full price. Attempted to purchase a 24 cupcake pan. Cheyenne the cashier called for assistance after lead cashier couldn't help. Multiple attempts to get a price. One cashier suggested the same price I assumed it would be. Still not good enough. I let 3 customers behind me check out to avoid a long wait.
