I hadn't been in Hobby lobby for years, but stopped in recently with a friend who wanted to shop there. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and of course, if you buy something you know it'll be on sale for 50% off the next week -so you'll be back to get that discount. The merchandise seems cheap and cheesy to me now. There's not much I would allow in my house. Maybe it's just my taste has changed, but I used to think the merchandise better than it is now. However, every once in a while I need some things that these types of stores provide - like artificial flowers for the (very) few items in my home that I like these kinds of things in. I came in this store twice recently (once to buy some of these types of flowers, and later to return a few because I bought more than I needed). Both times, I was impressed by the number of staff working here (came in mid-week, mid-day) that were available to assist and/or answer questions (OK, really surprised by how many people were working here and everyone I encountered was nice). They had a good selection of what I was looking for. I liked that the store was clean and well-organized - tidy! I used to shop at their competitor, but wow, that last few times I went in one of those it was such a mess in the store - and it didn't seem to matter which store (chaos). They practically have everything and anything you are looking for crafting wise and they also have a wide selection of home decor, party supplies and seasonal decorations. So, the blather I hear from retailers about losing business during a "COVID crisis," doesn't mean we'll open EARLIER for business? Or, even ON TIME? Justin, the sales associate, made our visit very pleasant for us during our stop at this local Hobby Lobby. He opened the next lane for us and took us in. We spent less than 10 minutes, looking for crafts that dear MIL might like and again, as homespun and crafty she is, we had no luck in finding anything she might want for this year. I used to shop at the old location, hobby lobby is a land of beauty to improve the beauty of your home. This new location, at the old sports authority building on county line, is MASSIVE. I was way too curious how they would fill this building, and now I'm impressed. They literally have aisles of every holiday (because they have to fill this store). Every last finish inside is beautifully decorated. I had doubts, but this store is epic. This has to be the number 1 arts, crafts and home items in the state. read more

These assholes think they're better than everyone just because they don't look a certain way. I'm 21 and covered in tattoos ( I work in a tattoo shop ) and I have a mohawk. I know to the average person I don't fit the buck for a responsible young man, but I was treated like a felon in this store. I was repeatedly harassed because they thought I was stealing, and I was treated with terrible customer service. You'd think as a "christian" store they'd be more inclusive. But I don't even care about how they treated me, I'm concerned for every other young artist that gets treated poorly in that store just for the way they look. it's a f***ing art supply store, you're gonna see artists. I was in the store on June 3rd at around 2pm. Make sure your $20 bills are real cause if you have tattoos they're gonna check them. make sure you don't shop around the store with stuff in your hands, cause they'll come take it from you. make sure you look like a 60yr old white woman or they'll treat you like a criminal. absolutely disgusting. read more

I came here for their 90% sale and had some really good deals. I was standing in line and this sweet girl came up and asked if I was just making a purchase and I replied yes. She asked to come over to a closed lane just to ring me up! Went in for a return it took them 20 minutes to assist me. Meanwhile, around me all of these cashiers are doing absolutely nothing or checking out customers with new purchases. I wait there after my 20 minutes I'm finally being helped and two other people stand behind me in the return line. At that point the manager takes it upon herself to take the other two people that are in the return line ( that have waited two minutes tops) and move them to a cashier that's helping purchases. Never once asked me in the 20 minutes I was standing there if I needed any assistance or if I could be moved to another Cashier. Absolutely insane!!! I asked the cashier why they had not moved me to another lane to which she responded , That wasn't my call. Non apologetic, more annoyed that I even asked. The next cashier says alrighty then. We got almost EVERYTHING for our wedding here! This place has incredible sales on wedding stuff, everything 50% off. Every person we worked with here was kind, considerate, and helpful. We ordered tons of stuff to come pick up on a different day and they called us to let us know every time something was in or give us any other information. The day we came to pick up the whole order again we were greeted with helpfulness and smiles. Two of their employees, Vince and Luke, Took everything out to our car and helped us pack it full. They were patient and hard workers! Somebody give them a raise! They went above and beyond to make sure we could bring everything home with us safely. I will be back! read more

I'm not really a hobby, vase or fake flower kinda guy, but when the kid was in Scouts we had to come here every year to get supplies for the Pinewood Derby. He also loves all the kooky little puzzley things they have in the toys section so it's always good for that random Birthday or Xmas gift. Speaking of Christmas, this is a great place to come get those awesome ornaments you want, as long as you wait til after the holidays when they have awesome sales. They lose a star because their checkout system hasn't been updated since the 19th century. I absolutely love the creative inspiration from this place! Picture this- walking into a store that jumps with "IDEAS" everywhere. In Cali I was familiar with Michaels and other craft stores but this new store experience in CO was for sure a favorite! Was in there the other day, and I thoroughly enjoyed the employees! There were three (technically two because one was off the clock and shopping) but they were in the jewelry section having a right fun time doing some sort of stocking. Just the genial way they were chatting, doing their work, and doing so with customers! Made me want to work there! One was John, Lori or Laura, and the third one was Emily. I got their names cause they kept joking with one another while they worked. They made it so personable and homely shopping and looking for things. Lori or Laura (Sorry I don't remember!) was sweet in showing me where some of the charms had moved to, and I witnessed the girl who was off the clock be such a sweetheart in talking to a little girl shopping for beads. She showed the child where some things were and was just a gem! And she wasn't even getting paid for it! Was just such a great moment getting my items and seeing such cool people enjoying their jobs. I had not been to HL in years and I was pleasantly surprised but what I found. Great gift wrapping at a reasonable price, gift bags, pre-curled ribbons and tissue paper- my favorite, lazy way to present gifts. They also had a sale on stickers and stamps -just in time for homemade Valentine's! I scored some sweet robot stickers as well as well as some cards I plan to use to welcome out of town guests with. I also learned about glue dots - who knew? Not me! They are great for keeping items together in gift baskets and are my new favorite craft item. All in all a great craft adventure. read more

I had a bummer experience at this store last night. I spent over $124 on a framed photo and I am surprised that the cashier did not spray me in the face with mace when I asked if I could have a bag for my purchase. She lied and told me they did not have any bags big enough for the photo and nearly dialed 911 on me as a shoplifter when I tried to get my own bags at the next register where they left my photo to have me pick it up. I think the store had it in mind to provoke me into an assault or claim I shoplifted a bag for the photo and call Douglas County sheriff on me. I make mistakes all the time. Not everyone is a stay at home mom or retired crafter and has a little extra time to wait. I come in to get items needed while on a lunch break and their register system is older than the dinosaurs. 15- 20 minutes in a line forever long to purchase one item while the cashier individually inputs 100 jewelry bead strands is ridiculous. I've also called to find out if an item is available and I am put on eternal hold to where I finally hang up. I have to also bring up that half of their items are damaged. Discounted or not you shouldn't have that many damaged products. I have to hunt to find anything in somewhat good condition. You need to step it up Hobby Lobby and come out of the stone age! read more

Well I work here as a cashier so I'm a little biassed. It's a neat and tidy store that offers a lot of cool stuff. If you have any kind of project you need to build, chances are you'll find all the material you need here. Staff is really friendly and I often see workers go out of their way to help out shoppers. Now yes checking out can take forever. We don't have scanners, we have to put everything in manually, and it's up to us cashiers to know what on sale and what isn't. As much as customers may want the technology to update, I guarantee you that people like me want it updated even more. read more

I shop this location and the Parker one. I prefer the other over this one. The stock runs low on the art canvas that I like to buy when they are on sale. I dislike always having to get a rain check. The staff here are really lacking in their customer service. I brought a receipt in for items I had purchased the week prior, because the items had gone on sale. They would not refund the difference unless I hauled all of the items back to the store. Doesn't make any sense when I have the receipt that shows everything. And the woman at the register seemed to have issue with the fact that I had bought the items from the Parker location. Not sure why...they are both Hobby Lobby...same store just a zip code away. I also witnessed a manager berate a cashier in front of customers because he told her to go stock items, and she expressed concern for who would run the register. He was yelling at her and this girl just looked like she wanted to crawl under the counter. I won't shop here again unless the other location doesn't have what I need. read more

This store has great prices, some of the cheapest I have found. Their selection in fabric is limited, but for Hobby's it is very good. I does seem no matter when I go there is always a line at check out, so give yourself extra time, I have never been able to run in and out. read more

I go here all the time, literally sometimes 1x/week or 5x/week. There's always people around to help if I need anything but they aren't overly, annoyingly friendly if you know what I mean. The only thing I wish they would do better is manage the cash registers. Often times I will be standing in a long line and there will be 2 cashiers off to the side doing who-knows-what while the ONLY cashier stand there and takes care of the entire line. Me personally, I like the attentiveness of retail employees and cashiers so I guess it's really the only improvement I can suggest for this place.
