I found a couple more flamingo things, but discovered to my surprise that they do not carry slipcovers. This strikes me as odd for such a gigantic store. It was difficult to find anyone to help me, but when I did, he was very helpful. Almost everything I bought was summer stuff on clearance. A lot of summer and garden stuff is NOT on clearance. Also weird, as I write this in early November. I didn't really need two adorable garden gnomes, but I wanted them. Alas, not on clearance, and neither was the large grey resin alligator. I probably would have bought it at $40, but definitely not at $80. Silly impulses can only go so far. $80 is too far for me. Hangers are well priced, will go back and get them another time. It's always the ugliest patio cushions that go on sale. Oh well. Some patio umbrellas are on clearance, others are not. Also weird. Maybe some patterns are temporary and others permanent stock.

Then a girl with blue hair and eyebrows and a nasty demeanor let us know it was 8 minutes before close and then asked if we needed help. There literally was only one other family that came into the store the whole time we were there and only for a few minutes. My daughter looked around the entire store 2-3 times while I was looking at wallpaper. Neither the manager or the girl with blue hair said anything to either of us. My daughter said the blue haired girl was on her phone and she didn't see the manager. As we were leaving the manager comes up and asks if she can help us. I told her were had been there 45 minutes and no one has offered to help us except a few minutes prior. She said the designers were not available and I should have read the signs in the wallpaper area. She said she and the other girl were the only employees there and busy helping people in the paint department. Since there were really no other customers and my daughter saw otherwise, this was a complete falsehood. Clearly she was not management material (blonde haired, middle aged lady) and the blue haired girl was not interested in customer service only here phone. Both were rude, unprofessional. I would not recommend going to this location or Guiry's in general. It's too bad, I have bought many things there in the past.

(Tuesday Morning is better for bedding and towels, but HomeGoods usually does have all-cotton.) Over the years, I've also bought decor for my children's rooms, kitchen gadgets, frying pans, chairs, lamps, etc. They also have doggie coats, dog and cat beds, treats, and toys. You can sometimes find Greenies for MUCH less than at Petsmart or Petco. I think that the prices, especially for patio/outdoor cushions, are great. Two for $24.99. At Home was selling the same cushions for $24.99 each, and Amazon is selling sets of two cushions for $55-65. I also bought two crystal lamps for (I think) $65 or $85 each, and they were $150 each somewhere else. They seem short-staffed now. Only one cashier and a long line. I haven't had that much interaction with customer service, because I know what I want and where it is. Their hold policy is disappointing. I wanted to think about two large teal chairs once, and they would only hold them for a couple of hours. They were gone when I went back, so they weren't meant to be.
