I've been here a lot, and love this story! It is exactly what you expect, with every other hobby lobby location. Plenty of products, clearly organized, soft, music, and excellent customer service! Good location, I've never had a problem here. I always question why their prices are what's listed even though certain things seem to always be 50% off, just make them that price instead. Seems kind of like a marketing scam to get people to buy things they weren't planning on. They have a great 75% off section, some really great finds, and some destroyed items that shouldn't be sold period. I found 3 burl wood mirrors for 75% off, so they ended up not being $37 a piece, a total steal! We got home and my husband discovered they had a thin strip of burl wood on the outside, but I can't say much as they were so low in price and the look is still there. Super cute crafts, toys, and decor, whatever you're looking for is probably here. read more

Here is the deal, if you wonder around Hobby Lobby, you're probably going to get trapped buying goods that you probably didn't need for a hefty penny. They have good aesthetics for decorations, and you'll probably find something for your home. However, if you know what you're looking for and know that it wasn't on sale last week, it will be on sale this week! Literally! But if you find something not half off, it's overpriced and you have to ask yourself, "Am I willing to pay twice as much for this now so I don't have to come back next week?" and that is how they will get you! They have a lot of variety so you'll have lots of options for crafts and decorations! The employees are always kind and helpful and we've never had a bad experience here. So, if you're wise and practice self control, it's great.. and if you don't have the discipline... I'm guessing they would love to have you come in! All that to say, I believe that if you're a regular here... just like Chick- fil-A, you'll want to go there a little bit more on Sundays when they're closed for whatever reason. read more

Bought fabric at regular price to make a slipcover. I asked at checkout if this goes on sale, what is your adjustment policy?- "I'm not sure" was the associate's response. It did go 40% off two days later. After researching their policy on the website, I returned to the store with my receipts to be told I needed to bring the fabric in for an adjustment. Drove home and returned with the completed slipcover and all my scraps, was told the cutting table would take care of me. Two associates there told me since I didn't have my cutting slip and I had cut the fabric they couldn't do anything. That wasn't the answer I was ready for so a manager was called and immediately figured my refund, saying I didn't need to bring anything back but my receipt for an adjustment. Ultimately, five Hobby Lobby employees didn't know basic policy, causing me a wasted trip and wasted time on both of our parts. Hobby Lobby, do better. read more

While there are other options in town, Hobby Lobby has been my go-to spot for my arts, crafts and party planning needs. So I'm glad they finally opened this Dodge Street location after leaving their North 90th Street location a few years ago. You can also find all kinds of home decor items, from boxes to fake plants to sports posters to furniture. Checking the sales racks in the back corner can land some steals from time to time as well. Yeah, there's the weird, religious touch to a lot of the items here, but it's easy enough for me to ignore. read more

My sister went into Hobby Lobby and purchased several pieces of fabric for a quilting project. One piece was 1/4 yard priced at $1.04. After getting home and starting the project, she realized that particular piece of fabric was missing. She returned to HOBBY LOBBY the next morning with her bag of merch, receipt and cutting slip. The clerk at the front counter called a 'manager' (Marcus) to handle it. What Marcus put her through next, when all she wanted to do was to check the cutting table for the missing scrap of $1.04 fabric, was outrageous, humiliating and absolutely unacceptable!!! He said he's "not allowed to give anything away", even though she handed him the receipt showing it had been paid for. Adding insult to injury, he declared that he needed to check the security cameras. He called her in the office, saw the transaction on the footage and STILL insisted that everything on her receipt had been in the stack she set on the counter to purchased. The video showed the cashier place her entire stack of fabrics in the bag as a whole rather than ringing them individually. Still thinking the missing piece could be at the cutting table, my sister headed to the fabric department with Marcus trailing. The HOBBY LOBBY associate that helped her the day before waved my sister down to let her know she found her piece of missing fabric on the floor, and was hoping my sister would come back to claim it. The associate confirmed everything my sister had attempted to explain to Marcus. He became even more hostile and indignant. When my sister asked for an apology Marcus verbally exploded, claiming HE should get the apology, even after strongly insinuating she was a thief and a liar. He then walked away with her receipt and refused to return it when asked. It was only after the fabric clerk insisted he give it back to her that he did so. This entire situation took place in front of customers and other onlookers. She left the store feeling absolutely mortified, bullied and threatened at what had just occurred. REALLY HOBBY LOBBY?!!! We have been loyal customers, as we are a family of crafters. We also have appreciated your practice of being closed on Sundays. Sadly, after this gross mishandling of a very simple and easily resolvable situation, and the humiliation my sister endured, our family and craft groups will NO longer be giving our business to HOBBY LOBBY - ANY day of the week!!! read more

You don't have to be in the market for just crafting items and suppies to shop here. The store is huge and they have a great selection of furniture, wall hangings, home decor, picture frames, puzzles, crafty gift kits for kids, and more! I was impressed with their fabric department. With sewing specialty stores like Hancock Fabrics closing up shop, Hobby Lobby would be a good alternative. I was disappointed when the one near 90th & Maple closed and was glad to see this one open on Dodge. read more

This newly opened Hobby Lobby is one of the largest craft stores I'm ever entered. There's a large selection of everything; the way the decor section has like type items grouped together, makes me want to buy something I didnt know I needed! read more

I came into the store knowing what I wanted to buy. I could not find what I was looking for after a few minutes of walking around so I stood in line. While waiting a staff person came up and asked if I needed help. The staff person was knowledgeable and knew where to find item that I was looking for. Not a great place for the sewing/quilting crowd. The fabric selection is extremely limited. For example, I was looking for a beige print, which is pretty basic. I had a choice of 2. No calicoes at all. The thread selection is ridiculous, and not in a good way. Seems the notions stock is limited to mostly one brand - store brand maybe? The staff is great, both in the department and at check-out: friendly and helpful. But the stock, or lack of, is not worth the time to drive there. read more
