I found many frames with rustic appeal but of the normal sizes 13x 17, 18x24, etc. There was a worker who helped me by using a tape measure as well. Clerk at counter number one is ridiculous. If you change your policies and roll your eyes and act exasperated every time a customer is confronted with a change in policy, then you should probably work for in a non related customer service job. There is nothing wrong with my asking about a new change in policy that isn't posted. How could I possibly know but she was rude and in my decades of shopping at Hobby Lobby, this was the first and only rude, experience I have ever had. The people working at this location have a horrible culture for customer service. One complained endlessly about being understaffed and not caring orders were being completed late, the checkout clerk was extremely rude when I tried to use apple pay. One girl was nice and seemed to want to help but was completely intimidated by the others. I love hobby lobby in general and have been happy with the service at the mission location. read more

I had forgotten why I stopped shopping at Hobby lobby. They consistently misrepresent what is on sale. It's not just me. I heard other people in line questioning prices as well. I gotta give it to these guys - they are consistently overstepping their boundaries and rude. Can't help you find anything, returns take at least too long, they don't have the ability or inclination to check from store to store or order stock, the managers are consistently and involuntarily aggressive, and they're closed on sundays. Their hours have something to do with their religious beliefs, which as I understand have something to do with the desire of depriving select citizens of their liberties or something. I usually look over that stuff, because they sell tinsel, markers, and scissors after all; but with this last distasteful customer-service experience, I can't see a reason to ever return to any hobby lobby. read more

Hobby Lobby is forever trying to trick it's customers. These bags, for example, are NOT on sale, despite the sign. This happens over and over. They put a sale sign on a display that actually isn't on sale, hoping you won't catch it. Plus, they don't use barcodes, so half the time you don't get the correct price anyway. Wanted to move a photo & matte from a broken custom from to a prefabricated frame of the same size off the shelf. The employee was holding the broken frame and new frame - he admitted all he needed to do was removed the photo and matte from the old frame and place it in the new frame - and then told me it would be two weeks - he was overwhelmed. I asked the question again to make sure I understood him right. So I left the store - on the way out I asked for the manager - she was 20' away from me - was too busy to talk to me - I was told I would need to wait. So I left - will never go back. I'm a Hobby Lobby fan - the store at Johnson Drive and Antioch is terrific - they will get all of my business from now on. read more

I really love coming here for anything from home decor, two dishes, too greeting cards and craft stuff. They have an excellent selection of everything you could need. I can get lost in here! They have a huge selection of picture frames, kids crafts, fabrics, and much more. I am always finding things that I did not know I needed when I come in here. They have great prices and items are constantly on sale, and if an item is not on sale you can almost always get a store coupon to use. I have always had good customer service when I come in here as well. read more

The slowest store in existence and plays music that makes you wanna rip your hair out. They manually calculate the price of fabric and that fabric department has a constant buzzing that drives me insane for years. I LOVE CRAFTS! Therefore, it is no surprise that I am a big fan of Hobby Lobby. I could spend hours here if I were left on my own. I appreciate the easy use of coupons. Every week I am emailed a coupon (usually for 40% off one regular priced item), and I like that you can bring in a printed version or digitally on your smart phone or other device. The prices here are better than some other places, but pretty comparable to a Joann's or a Michael's. If looking for a home décor item, I would hit this place first before checking out the other two aforementioned commercial options. The sales here are pretty great when you come at the right time; entire departments for half-off, on occasion. I have seen this come in handy for many DIY friends getting married. In general, I am a fan of Hobby Lobby as it offers a wide selection of things I "need" all in one place. This Hobby Lobby is one of my favorites for two reasons. 1, it is close to my work and I can easily hit it up on a lunch break, and 2, the organization of this location is easy to follow and is kept spacious and clean to get me in an out of there fast.... without spending my entire paycheck. read more

Lots of Hobby Lobbies in this area, but this is definitely one of my favorite locations. Building is a little on the old side and could use some updates... but this location is huge with a great inventory. Store up-to-date on trends and has adorable decorations for any home. I can always quickly find exactly what I came in looking for. The staff is very pleasant and staff walking throughout store to answer questions. My go-to place for get'n crafty! read more

I am not a fan of Hobby Lobby in general but as the previous reviewer pointed out the lines are long and the generalized apathy of the employees are one reason the avoid this one. As a customer I could seriously care less about hygiene and how you don't want to do your job, so I don't want to hear about it. The store itself is large, mostly cheap unstable furniture in a dark motif made in China and fake flowers. Some of your usual craft supplies are available as well. The yarn and the fabric selection is horrible and over priced. They have very little knitting implements and the majority of the yarn is acrylic. Most of the fabric selection, which is very small, has a religious theme to it and is their brand and designs. The least I could say, in a positive manner, is that the fabric cutter could cut in a straight line. But the rest of the stores leaves something to be desired for. read more

Oh man....need to hire more employees or at least have ones that are helpful. Every single time i go I'm taking laps around the sore to find someone to help me. Then I get to the front to check out and there's a ridiculously long line. 10 + registers and only 2-3 cashiers. I just waited in line for over 10 min to return an item..gave up and ended up walking out without returning my items. Overall, I wish the customer service was better. I only go because you can't find a lot of this stuff anywhere else. read more

Went in for some decor for the apartment. Left there with a ton of stuff, for dirt cheap. Stuff that I didn't know was on sale (either it wasnt marked as a sale item, or I completely missed it) was on sale. Lots of options. Registers were way backed up. Only one register open with a ton of people waiting.. oh well. Worth the wait. read more

Massive store with a lot of merchandise and selection. And at reasonable prices. However there were very few "markers" indicating where to find particular merchandise. And we saw very few employees to ask for assistance. As the store was closing (30 minutes prior) a countdown was announced over the PA system and every few minutes thereafter. The person on the PA was very rude in her mannerism. And as we were checking out - the same rude lady kept talking to our cashier slowing down our check out. She flustered the cashier so much she forgot to take off our coupons and made a few errors ringing us up. It was awful. read more

I love Hobby Lobby and the creative items they have in stock. They always have new interesting inventory and good sales. But I have to say that at this particular 119th & Metcalf location, the floor employees are actually rude. I have been doing a project that has required me to go into almost all the departments over the past few months. I have not found one floor person who has been friendly. (Totally approximately 10 of them). They need better customer service training like I find at other stores in the Overland Park area. I was at the local Sprouts Farmer's Market yesterday and had two people come up and ask me "Are you finding everything?". "Let me find out for you. I'll be right back". The Hobby Lobby cashiers have been better and don't seem as annoyed with the customers. The customers are actually nicer than the employees! With all the controversy HL has had over the last two years, it seems they need to step up their customer service skills so they reflect their owner's excellent integrity. read more

There is always an extremely long line to check out no matter what time of day you shop; it is also extremely inconvenient that they are closed on Sundays. But the main reason I will never shop there again is their recent lawsuit. The owner / CEO has sued to be able to deny his employees any birth control coverage under their group insurance plan. He is exposing an incredible ignorance about women's health; 58% of women who use birth control pills do so for a non-contraceptive reason such as treating endometriosis, PCOS, or menopause. And it is incredibly disturbing that he thinks that he has the right to impose his religious beliefs on his employees. That is unacceptable in the United States, where freedom of religion and freedom FROM religion are guaranteed rights. I will never support any business owner who treats his employees so shabbily. From now on I am shopping at JoAnn's or Michael's, and hopefully those businesses will grow and expand and hire all the former Hobby Lobby employees. read more
