I was hoping they had a bigger antiques section with cooler things but it was pretty small for being an Antique Store. Usually you expect tables, dressers, large mirrors, that sort of thing. Still, they had a pretty cool selection of antique jewelry and such. Fun to look around either way. The book section is pretty sweet. There's a gift wrap and greeting card area as well. So if you want something different than hallmark they got cool little cards too. Definitely the type of place where you can come in and get a nice little gift/thought for someone. I'm a 68 year old woman in 85 degree direct sun with neuropathy. I felt very very faint. As they spent time moving furniture to get to boxes up very high and then opening each one, I asked if I could just look real quick so my few items could get pulled. was told no. then instead of apologizing to the growing line , we were told it was hard on them too No mea culpa "sorry we messed up" but instead they're victim too. He said I didn't know what they're going through and I said you don't know what we have gone through either that morning. He said you're just impatient. Yes I was and about to faint on their floor after being told it was 5 minutes 15 minutes ago. I didn't yell or curse How much easier would it have been to say "Sorry everyone, we messed up and have to organize everything, it's going to be at least 20-30 minutes, please come back later or tomorrow, again our utmost apologies" Anyhoos banned me from their website and another one too, long time customer of 10 years spending significant amount of money that helps in retirement. I was at one of first auction ninjas sales 10 years ago where I drove down to Scarsdale and found they had given my lot to another customer. Things happen Next time just say you're sorry Grant Paranese (the managing partner) it's not about you and your day. It was a lot smaller inside than I expected, and claustrophobic…read more There are only a few tables at the counter, a large round table that looked like 5-6 were sitting at, and 4-5 bar stools seats facing out the front window. There's an upstairs with a coffee table, a bean bag chair and two chairs (and lots of artists wares for sale on the wall). There are a few tables outside, so waiting until it's warm enough or ordering To-Go would be my suggestion. I shared pictures of the beautiful breakfast plates we received. The food was delicious! The sausage I asked for in my Eggs Benny was delicious! They were clearly homemade sausage that had a nice rosemary flavor. My husband's breakfast star was the chef made ham steak slices, and the rosemary sourdough toast. Yes, I recommend the food here! We were rather disappointed by the temperament of the person we assumed is the owner... when asked if they would please lower the music a little, because I'm healing from a traumatic brain injury (and it was blasting commercials and music; it wasn't a pleasant music track or album), said with an attitude "Sorry I can't control where the speakers are", and from that point seemed a lot less friendly. Her attitude didn't ruin the taste of the food, but this was a special outing (my first in 3 years since falling on black ice), near Goodspeed Opera House. This is a touristy area and people that run breakfast/brunch spots are usually friendly and eager to help with small requests. Often interactions with the restaurant staff adds greatly to the experience. Her sour grapes and refusal to help me feel comfortable by lowering it a smidge (I was already wearing noise cancelling ear buds, just so you understand how loud it was and that she didn't turn it down even a tiny bit), made breakfast less nice. We won't be returning ~ there are so many restaurants struggling to survive after Covid, we'd rather spend our time and money there.
