Let me start by saying we have spent money at the other well known jeweler in town for 5 years including engagement and wedding rings and watches. There was never a positive experience but they always had what we were looking for. Fast forward to wanting a pair of diamond studs and we were recommended Hoboken Diamond. We can't say enough about this place!! It's a one man shop so you are actually speaking to the jeweler, not a salesperson, which makes such a difference. I wanted an unusual cut of stone and the owner had 2 different pairs ready for me to see within a week! (The other jeweler took 3 months.) After choosing the ones I preferred (they were both perfect), the owner called me to say he didn't like how the stones looked when they were slightly dirty and he wasn't satisfied. His diamond person was driving a new pair from NYC for me to see that day! I couldn't run in when she came so the owner DROVE THEM TO ME. Who does that??!! Plus, we had already paid in full for the other stones so this was all so above and beyond. He was right, of course, and he had the earrings set for me in 2 days!! Excellent and professional! There are no words to describe Reynold's work. He resized my white gold ring from a 7 down to a 4 and it looks FLAWLESS! A lot of places I went to gave me trouble about resizing my engagement ring saying that it would be too difficult to do because of the difference in size, they also said it wouldn't look the same, but Reynold did a phenomenal job. My engagement ring looks brand new and untouched. Not only did he resize my ring perfectly, do it in a short amount of time, and let me stay and watch, but he came out with my ring every time he cut it down to see if I liked the way it fit. He was very friendly and gave his honest opinion the entire time. The price was very reasonable considering it was white gold and the size it had to be brought down to. I'm overly impressed and have nothing but good things to say. You can definitely trust Reynold with your delicate and valuable jewelry. Excellent customer service and craftmanship. I went here just to sell some gold, but thought I'd also ask the jeweler about my engagement ring setting, which I was never quite happy with after it had been re-set at Kodak. The man I spoke with was patient, listened to what I was unhappy with, and gave me two options to fix it. The first was to file down the band ( I was unhappy because it was too thick) which was the cheaper option, and the second was to trade in my platinum and get the ring recast and reset. The first option was the cheaper option, and despite my willingness to pay more, he recommended that I go with the filing down of the original band. 3 hours later I had a brand new ring! I am very very happy with the end result and the customer service I received. I will definitely be going there for my future jewelry needs. read more

After showing him a couple of pictures, he assured us that it was possible to combine the different elements from each example that I wanted, and that I would have the perfect ring I envisioned. He was right! He provided a cad so we could see it before making it incase we wanted to make minor changes--not necessary. He was able to take my vision and bring it to life. Great experience here! My fiance recently bought my engagement ring from kays and I had it unaided with a ring guard on it for 6 weeks because I didn't want to send it out to Kays to be sized and have it left with them for 2-3 weeks after reading stories about them having rings so long they lose them. I saw other great reviews about Hoboken Gold & diamonds and thought I would try to have my ring sized there. He did it on the spot in 15 minutes for a great price! I had the best experience here! I came in for the first time to ask if they sold any gold bangles and showed Reynold a picture of what I was looking for. I had been searching for the perfect gold bangle for so long and in less than two hours, he handcrafted a 14K solid gold bangle for me! It was exactly what I wanted and perfectly custom to my size. Reynold, suggested a way to remake my wedding ring set to secure the stones from falling out in the future. The rings were worked on and returned very quickly.
