I showed up on a Saturday morning and was immediately helped. The staff was super friendly, and able to find the right size for my ring while also taking into account finger size fluctuations. The whole resizing, rhodium dipping experience took about and hour. The store is on the second floor of a building which has elevator access. Hard to find but worth it - tucked into a corner of the second story of a building on 47th St, ring the buzzer to be let in. The jeweler resized a special ring one and a half sizes, did a great job and I felt that the price was reasonable for 14K. They also were able to preserve the inscription. One piece of constructive feedback would be to give me a heads up on how the back of the band will look but I have no complaints at all. They also fixed a jump ring on a necklace for me at no extra charge. Will be back with more repairs. read more

Found a pair of small earrings that I am very pleased with. The only way to get to the store is to know it is there. Fortunately, I found their online website and found my way. You have to go in the doorway find the elevator go up a flight, and walk the hall. An old building in not so great shape. When you walk into Kim's, it's a very small shop. I found the pricing a bit confusing, but after I figured it out then the prices seemed reasonable. Actually, that's why I went here because the prices seem much more reasonable than other jewelry stores. Limited stock on the earrings, but some very nice things. read more

I paid $80 to have my 7.5 ring resized to 9.25 ring. It took about 40 minutes. They were all so sweet, warm, and helpful. I was wrongly told by a past jeweler that my ring size was 10. I was like no wonder I lost the past ring. It must've slipped off. They kindly explained that during the summer, your rings swell up a bit and during winter time, your finger shrink a bit in wintertime. So they considered fit by considering all other factors that other places I went to didn't. Also my ring looks brand new and better than when I first bought it. From day 1 the communication has been friendly, clear and timely. Anna, who I corresponded with, said it might be possible to do what I wanted and gave me a range of the cost. I had previously given my ring to my sister who lives in NYC and she brought it in person to Kim's Jewelry, where she met Kris & Anna who were both lovely & helpful. Through my sister's help & facetime, I chose the halo setting/mount I wanted with their assistance & suggestions as what would look best with my ring. It took less than a week to finish! And every time I asked for updates through yelp, Anna would respond quickly & even sent me photos so I was updated. She would patiently answer all my questions as well. My sister went back to Kim's Jewelry to inspect the finished work done on my ring and even she was extremely pleased with their work! I was able to pay via a text link and received my ring the very next day! I requested overnight shipping for my ring to be sent to my current address directly which they were able to do, I received tracking and got text updates too. The price they gave when they saw my ring in person was within the range they had initially told me via Yelp. I was concerned it might be too expensive but it was a very fair price. Their expertise, the attention to detail, their fast but quality work plus their amazing customer service (they treat you like family) is what makes them stand out! Kim's Jewelry was recommended and my now-fiancé and I visited after visiting a few other shops. 2 weeks before our visit, we communicated with him the specs of diamonds we were most interested in as well as setting and budget, and he was able to show us 3 of them, all within budget. His selection was more extensive / at decent prices compared to the other places we saw. Hand sanitizer was offered at the door and masks required due to CV19. He is most comfortable speaking Korean, but he and most of the staff are able to speak English. He was very informative about the specs of the diamonds and answered any questions we had about the different stones and how he would set the stone. We were able to negotiate the price a bit, but his prices overall were pretty reasonable vs. other places we went to. After we decided on a diamond and setting and put the initial deposit, we communicated over text and he / his team were very quick in responding. He made a wax model of the setting with the stones to give a sense of what it would look like and allowed me to see it (in person and via photos). He was reassuring when I discussed certain concerns about the look of the wax model, and sure enough, the actual result came out spectacularly! He then was able to get an insurance purpose appraisal and after we sent the remaining deposit, sent it with the ring and the GIA report to CA. All in all, Kim's Jewelry were very professional and very quick at responding and making sure all our questions were answered; the process ran very smoothly.
