Worst customer seevice ever! My Mom bought me a Butterfly necklace from here. One of the cz fell out. I brought it back for repair and I was told he had to order the cz. A month or so goes by and I had to follow up with him. Still after a month no cz and no communicatiin from the staff. I followed up again and found out, only because I called him, that cz came in and it was "fixed" but it did not come out good. and then proceed to tell mw he was trying to find me a new one. Then while he was helping me another cuatimer walked in and the man on phone asked if I could call him back in 20 min. Wait, I am confused am I the customer or do I work for him. So happy with my results. They restored my grandmother's 60 year old engagement ring and wedding band: fixed a loose diamond, fully replaced band backing (since 60 years of resizing compromised the structure), and dipped to make them look gorgeous. Recently I loved their work so much, I went in just to say thanks. My husband had picked up my recently cleaned sterling silver jewelry and when I took it out I barely recognized it! The cleaning was quick, effective (needed- yikes!) and affordable. I even got a break on the cost for bringing in a few pieces. 5 stars all around. I received excellent customer service and I'm extremely impressed with the craftsmanship, promptness on the returned item, and the integrity of this jeweler. After two years of wearing ugly plastic ring guards, followed by the constant spinning grinding against my new wedding band, I knew it was time to fix this issue before I lost every single diamond or even worst my too big ring. Initially, I was looking in for a jeweler in Manhattan to resize my custom-made engagement ring. Then I found Hoboken Gold and Diamond on Yelp after searching for a jewelry repair shop closer to home. They had few reviews but I figured I'd give it a shot since I grew up in Hoboken. I felt both bad because I walked pass this place million times and delighted that I was able to get the job done in a place/environment I felt most comfortable. I brought in my ring on a Saturday morning, within seconds I was greeted and helped. My proper ring size was recorded and I was quoted a reasonable price that included resizing and a replacement for a side diamond. Steal! The entire process took about 5 minutes. I had my ring back in my possession by that Monday. Upon pick up, I tried on the ring which felt okay but heck I've been wearing a size 9 instead of a 7.5 for years so I wasn't sure if it was too much or just right. Anyway, the jeweler Reynold recommended that I give it a try for the next few days to get a better feel for it. He promised if I wanted it bigger all I had to do was bring it back within a week with no charge. Well, I wore it day and night for two days before I realized the size was accurate based on fit/movement but the ring would look better if it was a tad bigger (chubby fingers problems). This is a two-prong (no pun intended) review-for both looking at engagement rings and getting a watch battery repaired/replaced. For looking at engagement rings, we only went in for a few minutes (maybe 15-20). The guy (owner?) was very knowledgeable and friendly and offered to competitively price (even though we didn't intend to purchase that day). They had what seemed to be a smaller selection on hand to try on than other local shops, but had some unique items and showed us pictures of custom work they've done. For the watch battery replacement it was fast, affordable, and that's basically all we look for when we go to get a watch battery done, so positive experience with that part and really overall! read more

I have an engagement ring from blue Nile that was resized to a smaller size. Turns out that size was too small. I researched and came upon Hoboken diamond with good reviews about Reynold. TLDR: I am 100% happy with my ring and will be returning to purchase wedding bands! I decided to have my engagement ring resized by Hoboken Gold and Diamonds based on their stellar reviews. I called before I went and was happy to know the service only took 2 hours. When I went to the store I had to be buzzed in but once inside the showroom is modern and gorgeous. There is a beautiful selection of watches, settings, diamonds and all available in a variety of colors. The man who was there was polite and told me my ring would be sized in 2 hours and he would call me when it was done. Since the band was rose gold he said the price would be higher at $85 and he would size the ring down about 1/2 a size. I brought in a ring that already fit my finger perfectly so the sizing process was super quick. I went on with my day and after 4 hours of not hearing about the status of my ring I called and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. An hour after that I was called and told it was ready. When I went to pick up my ring it looked AMAZING. It fit my finger perfectly and I am so happy I chose Hoboken Gold and Diamonds! The price was about $250 due to the nature of the ring, which is decent as they were able to do it right then and there.
