I have to update my review. I picked up a few more cigars from this location which shouldn't really need time in one's humidor. Mild cigars. Those really don't benefit much unless you are concerned with the conditions in which they were kept. This is my usual rule of thumb, but sometimes you just need a cigar to smoke. Each cigar was a bit dried out and in desperate need of proper humidification. I've also been doing research, talking to other prominent sellers and other collectors online because I've been intrigued with a few cigars in here whose price is completely outrageous and hard to understand how they have access when prominent tobacconists do not. If you look at the original review I caught a photo of one of their cigars, a box of God of Fire 2006 Assortment with a 2004 Churchill, two 2005 double Robusto, and a single 2005 Robusto. They are trying to sell each stick for $1000 a piece. I bought that same Robusto for $20... They also have another box set that is not worth $75 for over $400. Some of these are boxes you get at events or cigars which are given to you at meetups where the Fuente company is presenting and they are given away as party favors. While there may be value for rarity, $1000 a stick is completely inappropriate. Also, I had already mentioned to them how to measure value for certain cigar products, especially if they are aging them. I showed them online tools and other sellers as well as collector tools to recognize how to age and price those cigars. The cigars they are claiming to be aged are not aged and are not old cigars they are recent releases or general re-releases for the current year of that Vitola. I have trouble finding many of these cigars they are selling, they are not even tobacconists with reputable lounges, So either they are passing some of these off as real or are indeed misrepresenting what they have in stock because they got it at auction for cheap---like at cigarbid and jacked up the price. I've tried to befriend each member in the store to try and build a rapport and try to see if there is simply a misunderstanding where I can help them but I was introduced to the person they say smokes cigars and learned he knows nothing about them. So I am a little disappointed. I thought I found a shop who might have a few things mislabeled or needed a bit of help finding the right tools online to improve their business and I've learned they are not really caring for their cigars properly, and they have ridiculous gouges on cigars that are misrepresented. Essentially, they are a tourist trap. If their cigars which are technically sitting for a few days to a few weeks---current cigars---are dried out...how poorly maintained would something be that's been sitting for a year or more? Considering the pricing of some of those incorrectly priced cigars and how difficult it would be to return it here because they are not a tobacconist lounge that would attend to such a thing---you can guess where I'm going with this statement. I might still try and buy a few of the lower priced cigars here and let them sit in a humidor for a few days and see if they are fine to smoke or if they are too dried out to revitalize---that's what I tend to do if I determine a place is not taking care of cigars properly...which isn't unheard of...you have a variety of cigars from all over the world, grown in variant conditions, weather, temperature---the humidor gets opened and closed, people walk in and out throughout the day...it isn't unusual for them to be either too dry or too moist. But a tobacconist would rotate them, make adjustments, and generally try and care for their stock. So I'll try again and see if their lower and generally averaged priced cigars are still worth buying. But, if it happens again, after I reset temp and humidity in my own humidors (which I seperate based on region and country) and they still have horrendous pricing on others I won't be able to recommend them again. read more

Disappointed! Shopped locally to help out before they all need to close due to the virus. Normally I'd buy online but I wanted to help out. Unfortunately, they sold me a lemon that broke in less than a week! It was $300!! I could have gotten it cheaper online. I'm really shocked a store that wants to last in this town is selling products knowing they don't work or are fraudulent. I should have followed my gut when the owner told me the box "wasn't supposed to be sealed" I don't even think it's real. As if I'm going to steal something.. Like c'mon dude I'm sure if anything u have cameras and if you wrongly assume that a customer is going to steal, it makes the shopping experience very uncomfortable. Sigh, anyway.. They have pretty much a wide selection of everything you need to find in a smoke shop. Gave me one price when I picked the vape pen that I wanted, they then raised the price up at the cashier. They said it was 90 for the one I picked. At the check out they put 95. Very very unprofessional. I was buying multiple things, and just like before they raised the price even more on each item at check out. Virtually all the water pipes have "bubblers" or "percolators" and they are so fragile. They are the first part to break regardless of the quality of the rest of the pipe. I don't really recommend this place. My boyfriend and I deceived we wanted to smoke hookah and have some drinks while we watched a movie. We searched on Yelp for smoke shops that were open at 1:30am around my area and this one pulled up. We decided to go. When we got in the gentleman was friendly and helped us get what we needed. We got a hookah set hat they were running a special for for $50. I, being that I'm anal, asked him if everything was correct in the box. He said "Yes, the boxes are brand new and no one touches or goes I adore them because we have a display version." I wasn't reassured because I just had that gut feeling that somethings was wrong and asked him to open the box just to out my mind at ease. He opened the box, everything was wrapped neatly, what needed to be wrapped in plastic was and all the pieces at first glance was there. We paid and left. We get home at are trying to hook the hookah up and realize that the metal piece to connect the hookah doesn't go inside the hole ! I WAS LIVID. Because if no one "goes inside the box" how was that piece replaced with a broken piece? I called and it's now 2:45am. The guy who helped us says he can't wait and we would have to come back tomorrow because he has a train to catch because he lives in the city. So our night was ruined with someone's dishonesty and although I examined it roughly I didn't and shouldn't have to put pieces together in a store to make sure they al fit when I was guaranteed the boxes are new and not tampered with. We did go the next day and the a new guy was very apologetic, however the moment was ruined already and we didn't need it Sunday we needed it Saturday when we went. So becareful purchasing from here. Bought a BONG from here 4 days ago, used it 2 times. Went to rinse it and it cracked right in the bubbler area. They claimed it was SUPER STRONG GLASS and this and that and it breaks for no reason. Went to the store today to see what could be done. I spent a total of $280.00 for the bong and a few other accessories for it. The OWNER tells me there is nothing that could be done and that all he could do is give me a few bucks off another one. I love going inside smoke shops and checking out all the cool glass pipes, grinders, cigars ect.... so when i saw a big sign saying "GRAND OPENING" i was drawn in like no other to this shop. So I walk in, show them the i.d. all that jazz and start checking out the selections. Place seems legit, and I even told them that. I check out acouple pieces around the store blah blah blah then i hit the lighter selection. An employee walks in, I know right away hes the owner of the store by what he is wearing. he goes behind the counter and tells me the lighters im looking at are now collectible items and if I want one its $65 + the 10$ extra for his "collectible zippos". 75$ for a zippo lighter? right haha. I had been looking online recently and told him I saw the same lighters for 35$ online. THIS made him very aggressive towards me and he starts raising his voice. He repeated 5 times " Oh really? well then show me. then show me man. show me." what am i gonna whip my computer out right now for you? uh no. the other employees are now laughing at how he is embarrassing me. He then storms out, said he has to do some errands. I asked the employees if he was always like that or if he had a bad day. no response. they wouldnt even look at me. Can you give half a star? Any good review on here is the owner, his family, or his employees I guarantee it. Read the bad reviews they're all the same- over priced and fragile products. To the owner- I get it, you're the only real smoke shop in Hoboken and your near a college so you can overcharge everyone for shitty products. It's good business, but it sucks for the customer so don't get upset when you go to Yelp and see a bunch of terrible reviews (except for the ones you did). That being said, here is the honest review of this place- If you have absolutely no time and this is your only option you can go here because they do have options, But If you can go into the city around west 4th you'll save at least 50%. I Feel ripped off every single time I leave the place because I get ripped off every single time I leave the place. They love to say that their glass is really good but it breaks just like any other glass, and I've found there products actually have more problems than any other shop I've been too (I overpaid for an ash catcher that flooded the bowl every time and I overpaid for a connector piece that shattered from a 2 inch fall). Bottom line- go here if you need to and being overcharged is okay given your circumstance; otherwise- west 4th has way better smoke shops with way more options and way better prices. read more

Asking me repeatedly if I needed help with something. Their selection is so so. They have a lot of China glass and China acessories for vaporizers. I asked for a new rda and the guy looked at me like I had 2 heads. That being said, the workers don't seem to know very much about anything. And the prices!! The prices are through the roof! Went shopping in Hoboken today and passed by the shop on 6th and wash and couldn't resist. After looking around at all the glass we got lessons on vaporizers from the guy there niko, (who seemed to be a smokeshop genius). After him consulting me and my husband on several vaporizers we ended up grabbing a pax which he demonstrated how to use and also showed us the various upkeep needed to keep the device working properly. When you go in both Chakri and Lokesh are the two guys who I know by name and help me with all of my needs. Both of them are great guys and I always buy from local businesses with people that I like. Oh my lord the humidor is full of cigars in terrible condition, these guys know nothing or don't care about their cigars at all. The opus X they have there are so overpriced I couldn't beleive it, a few days ago I bought an FFOX Petite lancero for around 22 dollars and also a FFOX #4 for around the same, This place has them for 50$ and 60$ I know they have high rent and taxes due to the location but they do not need to profit 35-40 dollars off of 1 cigar, and before this I thought opus X for over 30 dollars was just a fairy tale. Everyone knows they only come out twice a year. If the fuente knew about this place he definitely wouldn't want.them selling his products, they definitely go out and buy the cigars themselves from legit B&Ms. And feel and smell all of the cigars in the humidor.
