I have enjoyed every single time I've visited. I have felt so comfortable. As an LGBTQ+ person I've never felt any negative vibes. The staff is super friendly, and the shop takes their service very seriously. I show up at my allotted time (maybe 10 mins early cause there's always paperwork). I get all signed in. The person running the desk is usually pretty busy. They seem to get a lot of calls and bookings when the shop is full of artists and folks. When it's my turn I get escorted back to the artist or they come and get me in the cute little waiting area. There's clearly a lot of time taken to keep the shop clean here. I've seen so many single use sanitary needles and paper towels among other things. Everything gets wiped down before I get going. The artists do a good job of making sure you are ready and super happy with the sizing and placing. One of my tattoos I actually asked to be moved three or four times and I felt like a butt but the artist was super chill about it. I am not the person to send back a restaurant dish if it's wrong and it took some practice to tell artists to resize or relocate an outline. During the tattooing process I get asked a good number of times if I'm comfortable or if I need to stand up and shake it out. They do have water and snacks if you forget, but you should always eat! I will always return to this shop. It's a third-place for me for sure. I always feel like family. read more

I was recommended to my artist, Tracey, by a neighbor/friend that I grew up with. Thanks Jay! I'm very happy with the phoenix tattoo that Tracey gave me. It's exactly what I wanted - per the original request I had of her to combine two pictures to the final product w/ the suggested placement of the red touches that I wanted. Tracey is an artist and knows what she's doing. During my 'inking,' she asked a few times if I was okay, if I needed anything, was comfortable and even if I wanted different music! I felt very comfortable during my entire appointment. Before I left, she made sure I understood my care instructions and urged me to contact her at the store, or via Facebook, if needed. I love the vibes here !!! Super cute studio with the sweetest decor. Vintage, spooky, one of a kind pieces all throughout the shop. Safe during the pandemic with appointment only, temperatures screening and mask only service. Also filled out question to track any info/symptoms. I was able to secure appointment within a month which I think is good service esp in this time. Also came here with a friend for piercing and shannon also did this. If I could give no stars I WOULD!!! Very unprofessional. Was told after calling shop that no appointment..only walk ins.. I drive 40 minutes to get my niece's belly button pierced Arrive and am told if I didn't make appointment...sorry. Woman was standing rt there that I spoke to and said nothing. Manager yelled at me when I tried to explain my side...told me he rather not have my business... So guess what... I spent $200 on 3 piercings elsewhere. I got my first tattoo by Shannon in memorial for a friend who passed away 3 years ago. We all arrived and had to wait for an extended period of time after our appointment was scheduled to be seen. This was NOT the establishment's fault. Shannon has a previous client before is that he attempted to accommodate for a quick tattoo who ended up passing out twice and causing a big mess within his tattooing area. We were then seen and were able to give final approval of the design and work. The design came out perfectly to what was given and all of us were satisfied. Shannon was especially diligent about our group's safety and making sure none of us passed out. He went as far as taking a break and grabbing two of us a soda :) This was a great first experience, and it was very affordable. I will definitely be going back for more tattoos. If you want terrible service and rude staff, then visit Hocus Pocus. Very unprofessional and the way they treat their customers is out of line. My sister-in-law and I wanted to take my daughter to get her belly-button pierced, so we called and asked if we needed to make an appointment. The lady on the phone said they don't take appointments and that you can just walk in. So we drove 45 minutes there, just to be told they couldn't do the piercing. Not only that, but they spoke inappropriately to me and my family and handled the situation in the wrong manner. Oh and btw Burger King is better than Hocus Pocus so maybe you should write down their philosophies!! Ha ha ha ha ha read more
