There was not much to go by online as far as reviews (part of the reason for my writing now), and it's important to shop around, but this is a very welcoming and easily accessible practice (though parking can be a little tight) with a friendly reception, back office and staff. Dr. Casthely is clearly dedicated to her practice and her patients - one summer we had an emergency during an office holiday, and the doctor drove all the way from south miami (with her 3 daughters, none of them bothered by the inconvenience) to fix the issue. Orthodontic treatment is a serious commitment of time and money, and I'm very happy to have decided on "Dr. Lucie" - no regrets at all.

I was mislead and Ms. Casthely did *not* tell me things about my bite and make it clear that my bite was a very difficult case for Invisalgin. This which ended up costing me thousands of dollars and two years of social impacts to remedy. This review is NOT about the fact that Invisalign didn't work for me. It is about the fact that Ms. Casthely did not communicate properly and did NOT make things clear about my bite. My bite clearly was NOT a good case for Invisalign. Multiple other professionals confirmed it. She did not. I was mislead and not informed properly by her. Simple as that. I got Invisalign from Casthely back in 2008 or so, and ended up having to get the whole thing corrected in San Diego in 2016. After moving from Miami to San Diego, my new dentist made some comments about my bite and shared concerns that I may possibly lose my lower teeth in my 50's because of it. That was alarming, to say the least, especially because I already had Invisalign. It didn't make sense, but after conversations with multiple dental professionals in San Diego, they *all* confirmed that my bite was a terrible case for Invisalign and that I likely never should have gotten Invisalign in the first place. My bite was very deep and very crowded, which Invisalign is not good for. In fact, I was told that "this bite is basically impossible for Invisalign to correct". MS. CASTHELY DID **NOT** MAKE THIS CLEAR TO ME AT ALL. The end result was that I ended up needing to get metal braces in my 30's, which isn't exactly the most enjoyable experience. Certain dynamics about my bite were *not* made clear to me at Casthelly Orthdontics. Please shop around if you can.
