Not only this he was unable to fix my deep bite. Throughout treatment, I don't recall the doctor periodically measuring bite depth or referring back to the ClinCheck to compare my actual progress against the projected plan. Check-ins generally consisted of him looking at my teeth for about 5 minutes. When I brought up that my deep bite hadn't changed after a year and a half, I was told that my body would not accommodate fixing it. I've since consulted with other orthodontists who told me my deep bite is treatable with Invisalign, which makes me question why I was told otherwise here towards the end of my treatment. I also found that asking questions about my treatment was met with visible frustration, and I was told this office isn't used to patients asking as many questions as I did, questions I believe any patient is entitled to ask about their own treatment plan. I have discontinued treatment. I'll be continuing my Invisalign treatment with a different provider. Disclaimer: This review is specific to my experience with Invisalign/clear aligner treatment, not the doctor's work with traditional braces. It's also worth noting that this office asks patients to leave reviews early in treatment, which likely contributes to its high volume of 5-star ratings, since at that stage patients have mostly interacted with friendly staff rather than seen the results of treatment.

One night several years ago I was referred to Dr. Skaff after I cracked a filling eating a chicken sandwich (pronounced: "san'weesh" in Miami) which sent huge amounts of pain into my jaw. This was not pleasurable, I can assure you! Without ever meeting him before, Dr. Skaff met me at his office, during his day off and fixed me up. I've been a loyal patient ever since and tell everyone that there is not a better dentist out there, period. Dr. Skaff (he prefers the less formal "Dr. David" to his patients) and his staff are top notch and I really should put all of them in my last will and testament for putting up with me over the years! Dr. Gomez told me that the goal was to fix the problem with no pain. He not only kept his promise, he was comforting and reassuring the entire time. I had a pretty severe infection on two roots of a tooth and Dr. Gomez completed a painless root canal in no time at all. It felt like only minutes went by, but he was very through and gentle! He also took the time to explain everything in a way that made sense to me. I got to see the imaging and received explanations on everything that I was looking at. I came into…read morea simple cap re-cement (which I had done several times with my dentist in NJ in minutes and at no cost) to the office trying to force me into an evaluation, extra unnecessary x-rays BEFORE the dentist even saw me. It is important to note that at the start of my visit they told me my visit was covered. However, when no X-rays were needed (they had done just a few months ago during my cleaning visit) then the office manager informed me they needed to charge me $100 but that they would submit the claim. Time passes and no claim was submitted. I had to call Delta Dental and they contacted dentist office. Today 9/16, I called the dentist because they did not even have the courtesy to inform me that the insurance claim was being processed or they received payment from insurance on 9/14. Lady on the phone, today 9/16, claimed that the original visit was an evaluation and she continually argue her point. I pointed out that the only reason for me making the appointment was to re-cement the cap. Nobody should switch the reason for my appt or switch costs on me in the middle of the appointment. Now I have to wait for the office manager to call me after an evaluation of how much money they should returned. Again, this was a 15 minute no charge visit with my old New Jersey Dentist. It is a shame that Smile4Life office can treat a patient who has been going to them in this manner. Truly a shame.

Their fingers go in the mouth of several patients 9-5 spreading disease. You walk out of this clinic sicker than you came in. In for cleaning, out with pneumonia? Waiting area is never disinfected. At opening hour i got in first and saw this employee walk on the parking picking up trash, then back inside took a folder from a prospective job applicant and never washed her hands. Food stains on seats are not removed. Door handles, counters, exam chairs, and cabinets are never sanitized with proper product (alcohol). While I am writing this I am still in pain, dizzy and unable to walk or do ordinary activities. Because of headaches, I have to sit or lay down; such is the severity of this disease I picked up on Friday at this clinic. I am unable to drive because of gagging and dizziness and aching eyes. Two days I had to remain in bed with fever that made my body shiver. Yelp! must warn south-Florida about the cost-cutting practices at this establishment.
