I am extremely disappointed with the professionalism Mike Turnrose displays. It is not every day…read morethat you get your property suveryed. I hope you proceed with caution with Mike as he is not a person of his word in my experience. First off, they are about 1/3 more the cost of a typical survey. Second, he said he could be done the week he started (thus the reason we went with him), only to find out he has vacation and was coming back 3 weeks later. Third, he left the day he said he was done, sent me an email and said it could "walk through" the points on the phone. In addition, he is now telling me to pay him more money for a discrepancy report because there are old markers from before that don't match up with his marks. By the way, wonder why he did not tell me about this old markers from 1960. Hmm... interesting that the old markers would be wrong ... fishy. The reason I went with Mike was because he was available right away. And everyone else was 3 weeks out. My gut said to wait for the ones who actually had work lined up. But I checked Yelp and no bad reports so decided to take the risk. I hope this review will keep him honest in the future. Most importantly, I hope you don't have to go through what I am going through.

I recently had to find a surveyor for a very large property on top of a steep ridge in Woodside…read moreCalifornia with multiple structures that was too big for us to do our own site survey in house. We also needed a survey in AutoCad format quickly to move our landscape design project forward quickly. I called around to 3 different companies and got quotes from all three for this large complicated property and not only was Turnrose survey the most reasonably priced, I was able to communicate directly with Mr. Turnrose and exchange information about the site over email through maps & aerial imagery to generate an accurate cost quote that he was able to stick to. Turnrose was able to not only schedule us in quickly and generate a civil autocad base a week after 2 full days of on site surveying but was a very friendly guy who had about 20 years of experience and was knowledgeable about different survey techniques, legalities of the profession, and conversion into working digital files. He was readily available via email, phone, and in person to complete the project and I have now recommended him for more projects because of my experience with him and my need to get properties accurately surveyed quickly, on time, and on budget.
