Paid to have a tree removed and they said they needed me to help with the removal because they didnt have a full team when they got there. Also had their irrigation guy come to close off and cap my irrigation that I paid for and it was not done properly which cost me an additional $1000 in water bill, plumber, etc. to fix. I can't say enough about Hogan's! I called for a quote on clearing old bushes and white rock out of our front yard. Jeffrey came out to look it over, offered his advice, gave us a price and at 6:30 AM the very next morning, the crew showed and began the job. The front garden area is huge and they had to cut down huge overgrown diseased bushes (three were as a tall as the roof!). Yards of white rock had to go as well - tedious and backbreaking in the oppressive 97 degree heat!! They were courteous and friendly - a super team! They worked so hard to get a massive triple robellini planted just right. They came early the next morning and put all the other plants in, added soil and mulch. They even went beyond and trimmed a few trees in the yard that weren't in the project before leaving! They were gone before noon. A day and a half and the whole job was done! The guys in the crew were awesome! Special thanks to Dustin, Brian, Ray and Will. They were remarkable, very loyal to Hogan's and took a great deal of pride in their work. I love those guys! Never heard them complaining and worked so well together. They wanted to be sure it was just the way we wanted it, and they cut no corners. I was nervous about the outcome, but I couldn't be happier. They were great to talk to, and Jeffrey and the crew transformed my tired old garden into a colorful and beautiful front yard. Now I can take pride in how our house looks. Hogan Landscapes revamped my front landscaping last week. The job included digging up the existing plants and mulch and replacing with new fresh plants and mulch. They also trimmed some trees for me, filled a large planter with soil, and added sod to a small section of my yard I dug up. They did a great job, even working through the rain. Jeffrey really worked with me to find plants that would do well in that area and look great too. I had a couple of small issues at the end of the job, but they came back the next morning and fixed everything to my liking. They really do care about their work and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the finished product. I would recommend for sure. read more

We worked directly with Jeff who came the same day we called him for our original inquiry and estimate and then scheduled us within 2 weeks to get the work done. We loved the design they came up with and the plants they selected to work in conjunction with some previous plants and trees already in the beds. They made sure we approved of everything during the install and took their time to make sure it was done correctly! We also had our irrigation worked on by Hogan and a bubbler system put in for the new tree they planted in our yard! In July 2020 I hired Bret Hogan to install sod in my yard, repair and adjust my sprinkler system and keep up with the chemicals for a year. From the moment he got his money he became very slow to respond. It took about a month for him to install the sod. I gave him the benefit of the doubt as it had truly been very rainy. I will admit the install looked nice and of good quality. However, his lack of responsiveness just got worse and worse. When it was looking mushy and not taking root it took multiple contacts to get him to come out (3 emails and 2 voicemails). That was in September. This is not a case of me constantly contacting him. At this point there are a lot of weeds in the lawn and the sprinkler system is coming on at 10am instead of overnight and as I had paid up front for him to keep up with the chemicals for a year I would expect he would do this. I emailed him in late October, he replied that he would be out. He never came out. I followed up 3 times in November with absolutely no response. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Brett has no integrity and will take money for services and then not complete the task. I am going to now have to pay someone else. BEWARE. read more

This review is not for any actual work done. I have lived in my current home for 19 years, and I have 3 palm trees that are typical of the type you would find on most Florida properties. I have always paid $25-$50 per tree to have them trimmed. This year, I thought I would give Hogan a try. When I was quoted $500.00 to trim my 3 trees, I was more than a bit shocked. His team turns over every month and you have new people with extreme language barriers. They would spend 30 minutes on a job that should take 2 hours. Had a quote to have my yard replaced with new sod. It came in higher than I expected and with the fact that I just moved in and all the expenses I postponed replacing my lawn at a cost of $8K. Six months later and summer time I'm ready to have it replaced and because they were detailed I wrote them back to please quote. I had just replaced the front so I expected them to come out and provide me with an updated quote. I received the same quote from "Joe" at a cost of $9.6K this time. I hired Hogan Landscaping after being referred by a friend. I was getting my house ready to put on the market for sale. I had extensive work to prepare my home to compete against other homes already up for sale. I had Hogan put down sod and arrange the shrubs and plants to maximize the curb appeal. In addition, the plants that were already around the yard needed to be pruned. I am pleased to say, all the work done by Hogan was great. After, the landscaping was completed, my house looked like new construction. It was amazing to see how the landscaping affected such positive change, I admit painting also had a lot to do with the appearance, but the landscaping work was the icing on the cake. I called around for a quote for sod replacement (which had to be done very quickly to avoid fines from my HOA). Not only did Hogan have the highest Yelp review in my area, they also quoted me the lowest price for what I wanted. To be sure I was getting what I needed, he did a site visit and while there pointed out a tree that was pushing up shingles on my roof. They also trimmed this tree which was really high. The additional cost was reasonable (and much lower than the deductible on my health insurance that I would have needed if I tried this myself). After instillation, which went into the night, they came back the following day to set my sprinklers to insure proper watering of the new sod. I am unaccustomed to this level of service from other landscapers, and would (and have) recommend Hogan Landscaping. read more

I would definitely not recommend. States one thing and as time goes on it is suddenly not included. Has left my gate open more than once and I have dogs. I had to call, text and email for 3 days and until I threatened to cancel service then I get a response back. Also have rental property and they got real lazy with basics of just weed wacking and when they did they were going to the root ruining my st Augustine grass.
