Cute interior and afforable prices, but not super impressive ramen or curry if you're familiar with authentic Japanese food. I'm not sure if Paris just doesn't have great Asian options, but this place had high ratings on Google and a line going outside the door (although it moved quickly) so I had higher expectations for the food. We got the katsu curry, which tasted like grocery store Golden Curry and had soggy katsu. We also got the Chashu Ramen which had huge portions with lots of noodles and chashu, but they didn't remind me of ramen noodles. Gyoza were very mediocre, and I wish I had gotten the set without them. If you are looking for authentic ramen or good Asian food, this isn't the place but it does have a cute, modern interior!

This ramen restaurant is amazing! The service was excellent and very attentive. Even though the place was busy, the service and food were impeccable!

Took a break from being sophisticated and fancy food and decided to go for some ramen. Very good bowl of noodles, and price isn't bad. I'm not really into ramen like I am for pho, but the broth is very good and hearty.

Pretty good ramen for the area I believe. However if you're a ramen enthusiast, it may not live up to the hype. Thin broth which I imagine is healthier, but if you love thick, rich broth you won't find it here. The place looks small but it has a decent sized basement. As such, the line to get in moved quicker than expected. The gyoza was very good, loved the crispiness of it. Food came out quickly. Overall if you are craving a quick bowl, check it out.

Definitely a solid meal. Prices aren't the cheapest, but the portions are very filling. When we arrived, there as a small line outside the restaurant. It took us about 15-20 minutes to be seated. The main entrance floor is very hectic with an open view of the kitchen. We were seated in the quieter basement area downstairs, which was a bit stuffy. Overall though, the staff was very nice and helped us to order. Gyozas are good, no complaints there. Pan-fried, hot and crispy. Ramen had good flavor and a big portion of noodles. No egg though! That's usually my favorite part in a ramen dish. Can't go wrong with the pork katsu either. A lot of other tables next to us got this stir-fried noodle dish. It looked HUGE. Giant plate of proteins, noodles, and veggies. If you're looking to take a break from all the French food in Paris, Hokkaido is a good option. The meal wasn't life altering, but our stomachs were full and we were happy.

I had the miso ramen with pork and 5 Ramen and it was a pretty solid meal. It wasn't the best ramen but not too bad. The menus don't come in English but the waiter was very nice to explain everything. It was a little but cramped and stuffy eating in the basement. The cost for two Ramen and drink came out to $32 euro.

I got the Champon Ramen, which was packed with vegetables and a few thin slices of pork in a clear broth. The vegetables were very fresh, and the noodles were decent. After eating the ramen at Dosanko Larmen, I had hoped for soup comparable in depth of flavor, but the broth here did not have much flavor and even after using the condiments on the table, I couldn't doctor it up enough to take more than a few sips. The portion is huge (for Paris) so if you want a filling dish, this would fit the bill. The menu special of 11 Euros included 5 gyoza which were very good; crisp on one side, tender tasty filling, and not greasy. I would definitely order these again, but maybe instead of ramen, I would try one of their noodle or rice dishes, both of which looked good on other tables. Service was very pleasant, and even though it was packed, the food came out rapidly.

Great spot! Fried dumplings (gyoza) were a delicious start. I had the stir fried pork which came with rice, a salad and miso soup. Also tried my friend's kimchi ramen but it was a little hot for me. Good prices.

Located in the city center, in a neighborhood full of asian restaurants. Super tasty noodles and friendly service. Definitely recommended!

Good value for money, 11 euro for Gyoza w sautéed noodles with veggies porc and calamari. Noisy and smelly but like going abroad.. Definetely not very Parisian. Have a little preference for Aki or kunitoraya

Can I be honest? Why does this place have more than 3 stars? After having such an amazing experience at Kunitoraya, I thought for sure that Hokkaido would totally kill it. We waited in line to get on (another) rainy night with mostly locals and some totally rude tourists. The wait was longer than I expected, but once we got in, we were ushered down to their lower level in what seemed like the basement/dungeon. We ordered two orders of the highly-talked about gyoza, one shio ramen and one shoyu ramen. The food came out fairly fast, and the gyoza were definitely stuffed full, but I can't say that it outdid anything I ever had back in SF. The ramen, was surprisingly good, but again, it just seemed like fast food Japanese. One thing that Hokkaido certainly doesn't skimp on is the portion size. I saw plates of noodles and rice dishes that were piled high. The ramen come in pho sized bowls, so if you're starving (we weren't), this seems like the place to come. Thankfully, the combination option of getting 5 gyoza + ramen was 11 EUR. Not too bad since I think you get exactly what you pay for. All in all, while the meal was filling, and there wasn't a whole lot to complain about, I think my fiance and I were sort of thinking how we should have spent our time in line at the more authentic looking ramen place on Rue Saint Anne. Meh. Next time. And next time, we probably won't come here.

This place does seafood broth based ramen and I could not wait to try it. First off the decor is very unique. It looks like you just stepped into a outdoor Japanese seafood market with fish, eel, crab hanging around (fake of course). We sat down and ordered right away since we were both starving. As an appetizer I got the edamame which was steamed fresh with flakes of salt. Very delicious. I got the lobster bisque based ramen. It was very rich with great flavors. It came with sliced duck breast, citrus flavored scallop, a soy sauce egg and other veggies. One of the most flavorful ramens I've ever had. I enjoyed every bite and slurp of it! My friend got the sardine shoyu ramen which came with two slices of sardines. He enjoyed this as well. We were very happy with our meals and the staff was so nice! One of my favorite meals I had in Paris for sure.

I found that hard to believe until I tried it myself -- maybe one of the best ramens I've ever had in my life. The initial plan wasn't to come here, but since a lot of restaurants are closed on Mondays, we decided to give this a shot. Surprisingly, there was no line or wait at 5pm. We were seated immediately at this Tsukiji fish market-themed restaurant. Crazy how realistic the decor is and actually teleports you to Japan. You can see all the consideration that was put into the detailing of this establishment -- huge tuna on the table, the piles of insulated foam containers, hanging squid, and even the residual "puddles of water" on the table. We ordered the Sardine Shoyu (the classic) and Sardine Bomb (the strongest). Opted for chef style, which is a few euros more, but added extra protein such as an egg and chicken/pork chashu. Both took a bit of time to come out, but let me tell you -- it was absolutely worth it. The broth was rich, umami and not too fishy. The sardine bomb is a bit of a thicker and more potent broth, but wasn't overpowering at all. The noodles were wavy and chewy (maybe buckwheat?). Each bowl was loaded with tender pieces of protein that tied together seamlessly with the broth and noodles. We left more than satisfied from this meal, but will definitely think about this bowl on a regular basis. Well-deserved recognition!

The food is mostly various Japanese Udon soup, but it is done so well we were blown away. We have had a lot of Japanese food in the US and countless trips to Japan and this is some of the best we have had outside of Japan. The owner is from Kochi, Japan and the food is authentic. We took the shrimp/vegetable tempura, katsu curry udon as well as the kunitora. All came out together and piping hot. The katsu curry udon was outstanding and definitely a do not miss dish. The katsu was so crispy and cooked to perfection. The dish itself was very interesting because there was a healthy portion of curry poured over the soup that the meat sits on top, then as you eat, the curry and soup mix more, and you get a rich delicious broth at the end with all the udon. The tempura was done well. We also had matcha ice cream which is texturized with various cereals on top and bottom of the ice cream as well as a tasty crispy wafer. The service is quick and effective, they speak English well and were so nice. The place is busy so be prepared to wait 10-20 minutes for a spot - it is well worth it. The atmosphere is a really nice open bistro with modern design and classic rock and pop 80s-90s music. It is mostly community style seating, which some may not love, including myself, but in this setting I couldn't care less.

Oh Kotteri... you did so many things right and I'm a big fan. We were in Paris for 4 nights and…read moretried Kotteri on the third night. If we have discovered Kotteri on the first night, I bet we would've been back again. It's this little teeny tiny ramen shop that has a line out its door every time we pass by (when it's open). I will also note that the night we did try Kotteri, which was an early week night, every single restaurant around that area were empty or close to empty. But Kotteri had a long line out its door. That says something! So we have seen these type of ramen shop before. Super tiny sitting place. A very simple menu. Super fast and efficient operations. Very very yummy broth and perfectly cooked noodles. Check, check, check... and check. Kotteri is the real deal here. You can see the chef, standing in front of this big pot of soup broth, tasting every once in a while... literally a small ladle of broth from the pot, transfer to his spoon. Taste the spoonful of broth. Rinse with glass of water to reset his taste bud. Add spices if necessary to the broth. Retaste, rinse, and repeat. It was awesome watching him while we waited patiently in line. When it was close to our turn to be seated, we were already armed with a menu. The server took us to a little tiny table (squeeze between the 'noodle bar' and line of people waiting). We got the shoyu tonkatsu ramen and the miso tonkatsu ramen (add extra pork, egg, and 'regular' on fat) with a side of gyoza. Everything was super tasty. Ok, it may not be the best bowl of ramen I've ever had, but it's pretty darn close. Definitely a fan!

So when rating foods that are not French in France, it's hard to be unbiased between the scale of…read more"good for France" versus "great ramen." I guess when being in France, the last thing one would expect is for them to have decent ramen. Well, was a bit surprised here once again; however, I may have a bias. Items ordered: Chasiu miso ramen "kotteri" (the restaurants standard fatness level) - 4 stars. There are tons of reviews that the broth is overly salty. And, as a person that's tasted ramen in both Japan and America, I want to say that YES, the BROTH ITSELF without any noodles is DEFINITELY on the saltier side that I have had in a LONG time. However, you have to remember, that when you're eating the noodles, the extra salty broth actually makes the noodles soak up the perfect amount of saltiness. Many times, I've been frustrated at Ramen places for lacking the sodium, as the broth alone would be good, but not stick to the noodles. So, yeah, the key is, it's a great amount of sodium if you're slurping the noodles, but definitely not if you're just sipping spoonfuls of the broth. Shoyu chasiu Rammen "Assari" (low fat broth) - 4 stars. I love that this place gives you an option to choose the fatty level of your broth. I personally prefer broth's that are clean and not too concentrated with oil, that the surface dries up and freezes leaving that clear film. The "assari" still had quite a significant amount of fat. It was delicious still. A solid 4 stars. Would I come back? In France, this might be as good as it gets, so yes. I've had my share of better, but this was good enough. Went at 11:30a.m. right after opening and there was no wait or line outside. It's extremely hot inside, so I suggest you prepare yourself to be sweating.
