This place is exactly what I would dream a barbershop should be. Fantastic character and an excellent couple of gentlemen running the place. This will be my Barber shop for as long as I'm in the area. My four year old got his first haircut here yesterday and these guys were very patient and very friendly. The best barbers in the area... period! I would trust them with my life let alone my hair, mustache and beard. You can't go wrong. The shop is an excellent experience, down to the little details of the 50s rockabilly/ punk rock style. You are always welcomed and the price is well worth the time and effort both Rich or Jeremey will put in. Both barbers are over qualified to give you a fresh cut so you will never feel slighted at Holdfast. They give me a consistent and quality hair cut each time. I have even had the barber shave there. THAT is an experience every man should do at least once in their lives. The barber was extremely professional, taking his time to make sure my haircut looked great, asking my opinion throughout, and generally being very skilled. Every barber I go to; they say they know how to trim beards and do retro styles and I always come out looking like a 12 year-old after a day at Cuts For Kids. Rich and Jeremy are the real deal. I have to say hold fast barber shop in Flemington is The best barbershop I've ever been to!!!!! the people are awesome, the haircuts look great, it's relaxing and fun. it feels like one of the old fashion barbershops where you can just sit around and bullshit. Rich and Jeremy really know what they're doing! My husband has been getting his hair cut here for a while now and he always leaves looking really handsome with a great cut. We recently brought my 16 month old son for his first haircut and Rich did a fantastic job with him. And his hair is so much easier to manage now. It's also worth mentioning that the shop is always clean and has a really cool vintage inspired decor, with a really enjoyable atmosphere to match. Haven't been in lately, since I'm shaving my head now... but I was there a dozen times in the past. The atmosphere is laid back, the guys are chill, and the clientele will attest to their talent. I couldn't make it in time during the week so I always came Saturday mornings. I would usually arrive 30 minutes before the doors open & wait in line with about 12 other people just to get inside. And you know what - I was happy to do so. When you find a great place it's worth the extra effort. I always got a great cut.
