We booked a house 6 months is advance and bought the cancel anytime for any reason insurance for $900. We wanted to do an event at the property and after over a month of calling every day to get permission, they said no. Which is ok that we couldn't but we decided to change to a property that would allow it. When we cancelled we had to file a claim through the insurance. We were still over 3 months out! And they would not refund the full amount. It took over a month for the refund to come in which was half of what we paid. They robbed us!

He haunts the house! Mildew or mold from Hazel? Lots of sneezing going on and stuffy noses...we think the air ducts perhaps? Crazy about our porch. Wish 10 days were an option! The beach is wonderful where we were located! Nobody across the street! Didn't see flying termites swallowing the tele this year! Yay! They left off a big one for us and just played dumb when we asked why it was never communicated. We also had issues with linens at the home they supply and they never resolved the issue. I called them 4 times. I finally gave up because it was turning the trip into something very negative S They just blamed the contractor they use to supply the linens and made no effort to confirm it was resolved. Worst of all is that I tried to post a negative review about the home we stayed in on their site and they prevented it from showing up on their site. (Once upon a Tide). We gave it one star due to our issues with Hobbs and also some other problems with the home. I have to say, this was probably my worst overall experience from renting from a vacation rental company that I have experienced in over 20 years of renting homes this way. I would advise you to stay away completely. We have had much better experiences with individual home owners and a few of the other rental agencies in that same area.

It must have changed ownership and rental company management several times. The updates done recently are really nice; it's much more modern and clean-feeling now. Unit is very small. Perfect for retired couple like us. Would be cramped with any more than 2 people. It's right on beach with modern deck and shared gazebo. Unit was very clean. Modern kitchen. Pots and pans. Dishwasher. Microwave. A coffeemaker/ Keurig combo you can use either. HVAC worked great! Of course no washer/dryer there is just not enough room. And bathroom is small, too. But no issues with unit at all and we're picky! We would have appreciated an option to include sheets and towels. Bringing our own is a hassle. In years past they were included. But biggest issue is not including any paper products as in paper towels or toilet paper. That's ridiculous. For less than $15 you can stock unit with 12 rolls of quality TP and 3 rolls of quality paper towels. if we don't bring any, and arrive late in evening and don't have time to goto store first or don't bring them with us, we don't have any TP or paper products that night. Heck for $15 you can include a pack of napkins, too. We're spending $1,500+ on a 7 day rental - including TP, paper towels, and napkins isn't too much to ask.

The owners of rental, whom I have never met, went out of their way to accommodate my family in a crunch, and I will be forever grateful for their gratitude and understanding. THE DAY BEFORE we were supposed to check in, Jaime worked with the golf cart rental company, the beach rental company, and the homeowners to switch all of our reservations.
