Very large selection of items. Lots of shoes, clothing and household items. I always find something great here!

Found some sweet Ray Bans, and my daughter got a nice wallet and purse! 10/10 will visit again!

A great little thrift store. Picked up a brand-new pair of Toms ballet flats ($10) and a Free People top ($3).

I've had a few unpleasant experiences here. Buyer beware. I still shop here, but feel safest at the dollar rack.

Great little thrift store, and all the proceeds go to a charity A Better Chance, which helps kids.

She has always been there for me and she is personally invested in my style and success. Not only is she great interpersonally but is so knowledgeable on vintage fashion. I've loved visiting her in both her booth at the Manhattan Vintage Show and her warehouse in Branford.

I set up an…read moreappointment with Lorry (she isn't always at her shop) and the from moment I stepped in, her mission was to determine who I am and what my style is. She showed me around a few racks of sport coats and suits she'd picked out in advance, knowing roughly what to expect from our phone conversation, and with my reactions, quickly worked her way to my tastes. As a saleswoman, Lorry doesn't push - she just showed me stuff and went with how I felt. She was even honest enough to tell me, when I was hedging on a jacket, "if you're doing that now, you'll do it every time you put it on. It's not worth it." I eventually ended up with a gorgeous wool suit, circa early '70s, which was exquisitely dry cleaned and pressed (which she does with all her merchandise). She priced the comparable suits she got from this source at $225, but this was for her Manhattan market. As a first-time customer who was a student and from her hometown, she let me have it for $95. It needed a little bit of tailoring but she gave me a very complete recommendation for what to do, how to have it done, and who to take it to. The rest of our conversation was about mutual friends/family who we discovered we had. I was there for an hour and a half! You almost feel like an honorary nephew or something in this place. A breakdown: Prices: I didn't get enough of an idea with other merchandise to determine, but these are not thrift store prices. Then again, they're not thrift store items, and she'll work with you. Selection: extensive, sometimes kooky and sometimes very wearable, consistently vintage (lots of 50s-70s). Experience: very pleasant and focused entirely on you.
