Also, owner takes in pre-embargo Cuba souvenirs (can't guarantee that it's *all* pre-embargo, though). Sometimes you can find interesting little bargains (not antique or rare) for under $5.00. For example, I bought a vintage Key West window decal for my Jeep. A box full was for sale at $2.00 each. The friendly yet reserved owner seems to know his stuff. He has a shop cat. The back of the store is worth a once-over, and the items towards the back tend to take up more square footage. Most of the best of the inventory, and the profit center, seems to be within 15 feet or so of the front door. My only difficulty is predicting when the store will be open. Store tends to be open for more and longer hours later in the week. Call first.

We were ripped off, but did not realize it until after we had left the store. We were going to…read morepurchase two silk screen t-shirts. The proprietor told us that if we bought three shirts, he would throw in a fourth for free. We agreed. We selected four designs, all sports related (two Washington Commanders, one Washington Capitals, one New England Patriots). However, when he performed the silk screening process, the Capitals shirt was done improperly. (The text on the design could not be seen/read.) So, he then created another shirt, with the silk screening done properly. He then asked us if we would like to pay $10 for the shirt that was done improperly. We said no. He pushed us fairly aggressively, trying to get us to pay for a shirt that had no value to us. He relented and put the four good shirts in the bag (or so we thought). When we got back our hotel more than an hour away, we realized that he had scammed us by putting the BAD Capitals shirt in the bag and keeping the good one. Thus, having gone into the store wanting only two shirts, we ended up paying for three and not getting the promised deal. (I suppose we can wear the unreadable Capitals shirt as a sleep shirt.) Very disappointed with the proprietor's deception and dishonesty.

There were some souvenirs made in China, with industrial looking paint jobs on the items, but there were some that looked a bit better made. Their selection of ceramic tiles was really good as well as items that had the Mile 0 marking on it. Their T-shirt selection is not large, but the shirts looked of good quality. They had some nice beach towels, Christmas ornaments (with Key West and Rooster motives), books, etc.

The arrangement was delivered as-expected on-time and was absolutely gorgeous, the flowers looked as if they had just been picked!! It was one of the most creative, interesting, and stunning arrangements I've ever seen at a reasonable price point from a florist. In my delusional state, I did not physically do down to Key West until the day BEFORE the wedding. This was slightly psychotic, but to my surprise, Mama Flowers took care of me as a walk in and were able to fix all my crazy "but I want it this way" requests. They were great communicating over email for the months before hand, but were even better the day before when I actually showed up there unannounced in person. Dayna and JD were awesome! I barged in with orange ribbon and starfish from Shell World and they told me not to worry and that everything will be arranged by tomorrow, and it was! Flowers for my hair were magically delivered to the spa, flowers for the cake appeared as scheduled at the baker, invisible men showed up on the beach and set up the floral canopy along with all the other accents and then somehow moved it all to the reception area (I actually did not see these people, who they were and where they came from, I don't know, but they got the job done!) The flowers themselves were gorgeous! This was the biggest surprise, because planning from afar you don't actually get to see things in person till you get there. The finished products were so beautiful and fragrant, I couldn't have asked for more. These are professional people, who know what they're doing and who work well with all other businesses in town. Yes, as mentioned in a prior review, by a boy, they are pricy, but not nearly as much as others in town. And overall wedding flowers are ridiculously expensive, so I can't say their prices were unreasonable. I would say, if you are planning a destination wedding and are not able to be there in person to plan everything out, then go with Mama Flowers. Prices were very reasonable and Macs usually had the best prices after comparing other shops in the area. Lots of variety and fun things to find for gifting or yourself. Even if you do not need anything, the shop is still a fun place to look around and look at the sponge and nautical decor scattered throughout. Makes for some great (and free) photo ops. There is a cuban coffee hut onsite and you are a few steps away from a historic wharf, so well worth the stop.

Mariam was so friendly and warm and very helpful as well. I specifically went looking for a gift for a friend and Mariam helped with a selection that my friend will love. All concoctions are made at the shop and the ingredients are all familiar. No artificial ingredients.
