I am at that age where people I grew up with are moving on to their heavenly reward. I no longer live in the area and can no always get home for a funeral. I was looking for a local florist to support in the Pittsburgh area near my parents house in Delmont and stumbled upon Holiday Florist! They have online ordering, but to save some money on the wire fee I decided to call. Candace helped me pick out an amazing vase for my mom for Mother's Day / birthday and the price was so reasonable! They were super kind to offer delivery and even cared about the climate the flowers would be left in on their porch. Sometimes bouquets can be really filler or kind of kitschy, but their work was so classy and beautiful, I was so glad to have found them. Funny story, too, apparently they know my mom! I wish I got the name of the sweet woman who put up with my six (yes, six) phone calls to coordinate a sympathy floral arrangement. She was so helpful in selecting a tasteful and affordable arrangement size, as I'm ordering from out of town and unable to see it. Thankfully, a family member was able to pick it up and take it with them. Thank you so much for putting together a gorgeous arrangement (in 30 MINUTES!) and being so honest about what flowers you had, that it wouldn't look exactly as online as it was short notice, and the look in person. Its almost unheard of these days to speak to someone so helpful and pleasant. I was happy with Holiday Florist for a few years and was a very good customer buying arrangements/bouquets monthly. I paid close to $100 for long stem roses at Valentines day and over half of them never opened. They looked terrible and my valentine was very disappointed. Called them and said I had a pic to show them and asked for credit on my next bouquet. Candy went back on her word and would only replace the long stem roses and not issue credit on my next purchase. Said it was her policy to only replace. What if I don't want long stem roses for a year, I have to wait on the credit. What about the embarrassment of giving my valentine crap roses. What a way to run a business! Needless to say, taking my monthly business elsewhere. Better rethink your policy Candy and watch out for those roses folks!!! read more

She cared so much about making my flower fantasies a reality and worked within our budget which I really appreciated. Ordered flowers online for a funeral. Ordering was extremely easy. Pictures and descriptions were clear and pricing was reasonable. Delivery fees were the lowest I found in the area. Delivery area was very wide. I had a question after I placed my order, so I called the shop and she was sooo nice on the phone. She confirmed the message on my card exactly, confirmed the time of the service, and the arrangement I had ordered...all without me asking. I ordered flowers here today. I ordered a (smile) vase with flowers delivered. The cost was $65 delivered which is relatively normal. When I saw the flowers it was such a small arrangement I could not believe it. The entire arrangement was about the size of a soccer ball. I have ordered many flowers delivered. This was by far the most dissatisfying spend I have made. This did not make me (smile) at all. The online pictures give you a view appearing muuuch larger. read more
