My husband stopped in to see if he could slide in for a hair cut and beard trimmed. They took one look at home and with a snooty voice said "I don't have time for this" Well lady, the man you didn't have time for is a veteran of the war in Afghanistan. Robin at Holiday Hair MESSED UP MY LONG HAIR. My hair was to my waist. I requested a trim up or long cut. She cut it all off up to my shoulders. Holiday Hair payed back my boyfriend Glenn and apologized but never said the words , I am sorry. One cannot make up for this big mistake. One cannot glue the hair back into my head. Too late. I went in for a haircut after six months going with hair that would gag a maggot. Leah cut and styled and help me out with my style and I came out looking really polished and happy. My son loved it too. There were definitely positive and happy people in Holiday and I scheduled another apt. My hair is thinning and breaking before this lovely haircut. Got my six month hair cut, Hair was long and unruly. Kerry did a remarkable job as always.

I went in with my daughter to get our hairs cut. Although my hair was done perfectly fine by a different stylist, my daughter is greatly unhappy with her hair. She showed the stylist an image and explained what she wanted but the stylist did not follow what she said at all. "I'm sure you don't want much length off" turned into cutting her bangs from her chin up to her eyebrow, and not a single time was she asked if she was okay with the length before her hair was just cut shorter and shorter. She didn't have any time to stop the stylist before it was already cut too far to go back. Her hair is nothing like the image she showed, which had layers in the back and nose-length bangs. The stylist was too worried about talking and focusing on the style SHE wanted to do than to even think of asking my daughter if anything was okay before it was already over and most of her hair was chopped off. I recently got my hair dyed in this salon. This was the WORST job that had ever been done to my hair. I asked for golden/strawberry blonde, and my hair was dyed brown. When she tried to fix the brown mistake by stripping the color, it ended up being a very bright orange/actual gold color. I got out of there as fast as possible because they were trying to add highlights to this to cover up the horrible job she had done. Before she even stripped the color, she had tried to convince me that the brown was blonde and that I wanted this! Maybe if she wasn't gossiping about reality television shows the entire time, she may not have made this mistake and communicated with me better. I even brought in a picture to show her! There is absolutely no excuse for getting the color wrong. On top of that, she not only damaged my hair but the back of my scalp is in extreme pain from the excessive amount of product she put it in it fix her mistake. The entire back of my head is red and painful to the touch. I can't even lie on my back to sleep it is so uncomfortable. I do not look like myself, and the most upsetting part is that I can not even get it fixed for a while because of the pain! I am extremely angry and sad that about this. I will NEVER be returning to this salon again. UPDATE: I talked to to someone at the company and was given a refund and an apology. I may return to Holiday Hair, but never the Gettysburg salon. The pain has gone away and I am getting my hair fixed today at a salon in NYC. read more

Went to get a haircut because stylist was recommend by a friend. Stylist had 30+yrs of experience. The shampoo was awesome but it went downhill from there. Felt like she was using the wrong brush for my hair type. Raking and pulling and when it came to drying she used her fingers, more raking and pulling. Felt like I got an ass whooping by the time I left. read more

I received a coupon in the mail for $4 off a haircut, so I tried Holiday Hair for the first time on Sunday. Laryssa was my stylist. I liked her! She waxed my eyebrows and cut my hair. I am pleased. I was a walk-in and I waited about 5 minutes. Sunday's, I was told was their busiest day, but Laryssa was able to take me. My visit lasted about 45 minutes. She cut my hair correctly the first time and made sure I was satisfied with the length a few times. My eyebrows look great, too! Try her, you'll love your hair! read more

My recent visit today to holiday hair was extremely disappointing will be my last. Brought my 15 year old twin daughters in for one daughter to get a haircut at $20.99 and the Other Daughter wanted the Mini highlights that is shown on their menu for $35.99 which was pointed out to me prior to service. To stylist took the girls back did not ask me anything else in addition taking back by minor children the one daughter got her $20.99 haircut by a stylist who yanked and pulled on her hair. She was too shy to say anything. The other daughter who went for 5 highlights returned with her highlights and they gave her a conditioning treatment without asking for $13.50 and they gave her a style for $15 none of which was asked or added by me. So The Visit and that up costing just under a $100 for 2 procedures that would only have added up to. $57 before tax. I truly feel this was taking advantage of my daughter and myself by not asking the person paying they did not ask my daughter if she wanted anything extra they just did it and then charged me. read more

Love the stylists in the Gettysburg Salon.....most of them are accommodating for special needs and never make you feel like you are a bother! I want to share a recent experience....I took a young girl (13 years old) who had never had a salon visit and has been dealt so much hardship in her short life. I brought her into the salon and explained what the girl wanted to do (which included looking at books for style ideas.) The sylist was so kind and considerate and made the girl feel like a princess. The girl had her first salon hair washing and cut, I thought her face would burst her smile was so huge...as were her eyes. This was her first cut and style ever and a memory for a lifetime! i went to the Elizabethtown shop , i have been going there off and on for 10 years. the ladies would tease me about my hair because it was so long it would wrap around my butt almost to my knees. i went up to get a bit trimmed for locks of love , and guess what happened? the lady who cut my hair said she has been doing hair for 13 years and will handle it with care. she chopped my hair almost shoulder length. i got home and measured it and she chopped off 16 inches of hair. she said sorry and do you want your money back. is she that crazy? i sat in the parking lot to upset to drive home and saw through the window the 3 ladies laughing , because i was so upset. I am not rating the store as a whole with just a 1. I know there are hair dressers there that actually do a good job. All I can say is I will never get my hair cut by the woman who's station is behind the front desk ever again! I went there recently for a haircut and she was the one who did mine. She says she has been cutting hair for 11 years but I don't know how that's possible. When I went in I said I wanted the split ends cut and only about an inch taken off. She started in the back and I couldn't see how much she was cutting. It wasn't until she came around to the front where my hair was draped over my arm that I watched her take closer to 3/4 inches off! Being the nice person I am, I said nothing and figured she knew what she was doing. I left the store feeling ok about it, until I got home and everyone began commenting on how choppy it looked in the back. I ended up having to go to another hair dresser in another shop to get it fixed and evened out. Their exact words when they saw it were "what a terrible hack job!". read more
