i just went in today and the staff was incredibly friendly. they were not overbearing at all, however they were there if anyone needed them. the real star of the show was the cashier, leilani. she was able to fluently communicate with a customer who only spoke spanish. i thought it was so incredible to see something like that. read more

I love the salon at Ulta Beauty especially because I get points back for going ‍ I have been multiple times and I have had a different stylist every time and every single stylist is nice and welcoming. The main reason I am not giving 5 stars is because of double booking. I know online reservations are tricky but last time I went I had to wait 45 mins after my scheduled appointment time to finally sit in a chair. Overall I love my hair and I know accidents happen but definitely call to make your appointment so they can give an accurate timeline on how long it may take. Very disappointed! I overpaid for a cut/highlight and my hair looked like it did when I went in. I ended up going to someone else afterwards! I was told I could get a discount but I had to go back to the same location rather than westminster location, but I wasnt going to risk my hair like that again! I was in need of assistance and was approached by a sales representative. She quickly greeted me then hurriedly left to help a second client who entered the area after me. I was anticipating spending in excess of $200 as I needed 5 products. I needed to locate the products, make my purchases, then leave a happy customer. After waiting 15 minutes and wandering around on my own, I left vowing to never shop at that store again. I hope that other woman spent a lot of money; Ultas in Hanover will never get another cent from me. Needless to say, I am not a happy customer--their loss. read more

My granddaughter and I stopped in last week., woman that waited on us was very rude !! Granddaughter wanted percent makeup coverage for a beauty pageant she is going to be in she wanted to try a little to make sure coverage was enough and what she wanted, lady said I know what I'm doing as I hVe been doing this for years!! Than went to pay and she ask about primer girl at register said well what kind of primer we have more than one she was also nasty, I should have told them to stick it !!! I cannot begin to express how awful this salon was. Unfortunately this was long enough ago that I do not remember the "beautician's" name. Two years ago I went to Ulta in a pinch because I wanted to change the color of my hair and this was the only opening I could find last minute. I figured since it was Ulta I could trust them, but I figured wrong. I went in, told them what I wanted, and they suggested a trim. I did not want a trim. After what felt like a lecture about why I needed one yada yada I caved to get a trim. (Keep in mind I have a hairstylist who I trust but couldn't get into her in time, I would have been fine with her trimming my hair). Well I left with LAYERS not at all what I asked for. Some people suggest layers for people with thin hair are helpful. If you see the picture, you can understand that the layers make my hair look way more thin than it is. That being said, I don't know that I can even consider these layers. What I have is just short in the front and long in the back. What tops the cake is that this was TWO YEARS ago. Two years and I am still facing the consequences of this awful haircut. I hate my hair. I wear it up everyday. I used to really nice hair that I was proud of. Thanks to Ulta, I look in the mirror everyday and regret what I did. I want long hair so badly that I refused to cut it- just wait it out. But I will never go back to Ulta and I couldn't stand to not write this review, even 2 years later. Do NOT get your hair done here. read more

i got my hair done by kristen and originally she said that she would have to cut layers for my perm which i was completely okay with, when i left ulta i was happy with my hair until i got home and took a shower, she had cut the front of my hair at my chin and left the back a lot longer. i now it looks as though i cut my own hair because i have zero experience. i wish that she would have told me that she messed up my hair rather than styling it to cover it up. She also charged full price. i used to go to shaneil and loved her but now that she has moved i won't be going there for my hair any time soon. read more
