Truly disgusted with the manager's unwillingness to work with our team's parents. We traveled 6.5 hours to watch our team play in the NCAA toyrnament. We made a reservation for Friday night and were to told to book the whole weekend and cancel if necessary. We arrived at 11:30pm and were out of the hotel by 9:30 am Sat. morning. We called after our noon game to cancel our Sat and Sun night reservations. We were told we had to cancel by 11am- We hadn't even played by 11am! This was a SCAM! We could've booked one night at a time. We are all being charged 2 nights for a little over a 9 hour stay! Will not ever stay at a holiday in again! Call Holiday Inn Customer Service who would not over ride the decision- didn't even offer a gift certificate for an upcoming stay to compensate any of us for this ridiculous cancellation policy. Had we not been told to book all nights at once, we could've avoided this problem by booking one night at a time. read more

Its nice having a decent hotel in the area. The other options in town are much older. Hotel is very clean and never overly busy. You can geta good nights sleep in a clean room for a decent price. They do a nice job of upgrading PC platinum members to one of their suites. If you are in the area, this is the place to stay. read more

The front desk staff were very kind and went out of the way to make our stay the best it could be. They allowed our hockey team to use the meeting room for a dinner, allowed us to stay in the room after check-out, because we were in the finals. Not only did they allow us, they made a kind note and slid it under our doors. Breakfast staff kept the food stocked and handled all the 9 year hockey players very well. Thank you. Cleaning staff was also very kind and kept the hotel in great shape. The pool was warm and jacuzzi relaxing. Thank you for all that you did. Stayed here on points. A little oasis in a town of nothing. (Seriously ... 3 of the restaurants I Yelped were closed.) Very spacious immaculate room, lots of TV channels, full breakfast and Keurig/microwave/frig in the room. Quiet! read more

Good place, If you have to get stuck in Malone stay here. It's a great hotel in a horrible area. There is food/entertainment in walking distance. The front desk agent is sneaky when talking about price, I didn't feel like I was checking in a hotel but rather being sold a car by a used car salesman. When I explained you shouldn't tell someone "their discount rate" is such and such, when that discount rate is actually the standard rate and no discount has been applied. Even after giving her my members rewards she so much as had not even applied me that rate for any savings. When I asked for change to operate the laundry room, was told front desk had no change! Sooo I asked if that's so what's your solution to people who wash and than need to dry?! She had no response, nor offered to ring the room should change come across in a sale at front desk. Useless, unwillingness, and total disregard for guests. I would have packed and left, but the snow storm currently prevents me. I advise anyone looking to be valued not to stay a single night if possible. Young woman at front desk is just rude and nasty. Don't waste your time. Oh and they can't even maintain hot water, 10 cars outside (not many guests) maybe turn the water heater up a tad, cheap cheap. I also now place blame on corporate for allowing this. I reported all this and was told I'd have a response, no response 3hrs later. I will write regional manager when I return to my office. read more

The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our roomy suite was always neat and tidy after housecleaning staff came in, no matter what time we left for the day. The kids loved the indoor pool. Wifi was great...didn't have to reconnect each day like I have had to at other hotels. There were a good variety of tv channels to select from. My only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the breakfast items barely changed during the week that we were here. Would love to see some breakfast potatoes, fruit danishes, coffee cake, more varieties of yogurt, donuts, fresh fruit like melons, oranges, and strawberries. Even if the hotel just alternated what items were put out every other day, it would make breakfast more interesting when you are staying for a long period of time. read more

The restaraunt Mo's sportsbar is by far the worst food we have ever experienced at any restaraunt. It was so bad even our kids complained before we said something. "dad, the mac and cheese is watered down" said our nine year old. My wife did not eat her meal it was so bad. She is a bad cook and stated she could do better. This place preys on travelers who see it attached to the Holiday Inn, assume its probably good ( its very nice looking) but my guess is locals wont go there. By the way we live in a pretty big metropolitan area and were shocked by how high the prices were. Our meal for a family of five was $71.00 plus tip with no alchol. My entre, which has fahitas was $17.00 which shocked me for Malone. I pay about $12.00 in Austin. Its clear the owner is from NYC because he must think these prices are cheep. By the way we had to hunt down the waitress to pay, waited forever for our food and it was only bout ten percent full. read more

Doing a cross country trip and arrived late night. Was offered a superb room at a fair price and expected average service....boy was I wrong! This staff at this hotel is AMAZING!!!! AMAZING amazing. Our room was very clean, the pool area is great...bathroom and rinsing shower with guest laundry next door so the laundry can run while the kids play. Every staff member smiled and greeted us, and so many went out of their way to make life easier for us. Late check out was no issue, the breakfast attendant even helped serve the children, a staff member even brought out pool noodles for the kids. After many hotels in many states, this is by far the most friendly and accommodating staff we have encountered. read more
