The live band and party the owners put on was really nice. However, the site we reserved was rented out (there was a particular reason for reserving that site) so they placed us elsewhere. Would've been ok, but, we were next to long term campers that were not maintained and all of their stuff was strung out. We stayed there for 4 days and no one showed up. The grass was overgrown underneath their rig, allowing mice but they were kept at bay by the snakes we found slithering in the tall grass under the camper. The service truck that those neighbors had was parked in the roadway and on our site which made parking, pulling in, and pulling out difficult. Again, it too didn't move so thankfully the campsite was cleared out by the time we left. The campground is also on a slope and the way that the sites are positioned, septic lines will be dumping uphill. This won't be a problem if your dump station is in the front of your RV. Access to the river is limited unless you're of the mindset of no campsite etiquette, which there was plenty of (not the fault really of the owner). There are, however, DEC access points to fish the Salmon relatively nearby which was nice. If this was a $25-30/nite site then ok, whatever, but it's not.

There isn't an activities center to send the kids off to...no arcade, no swimming pool. But there is a nicely provisioned store at the top end, and an ice cream stand. There's also a small beach. This is your campfires at night and watching for shooting stars kind of camping. A nice disconnect from most modern amenities. 4G for cell phones is hit or miss. There's plenty to do during the day within driving distance though, so no one will be bored for long.

It was dark when we arrived and the office was closed, but the owner could not have been nicer. Note it is cash only, but the site was level and the price for a full hook-up was only $32. Very relaxing and quiet and strong Wi-fi even at the edge of the park. I would plan to stay here again if the opportunity arose.

He went about a half block to check breaker said that it was not flipped but it was wobbling pretty loose in there. My husband is a licensed electrician and of course had his own my testing equipment. It showed 25 amp coming out of it. So he said move to spot 50. Well before we moved our vehicle we went down there and checked it and he took off before we could. And guess what the exact same problem. We did not even hook into the second one. So he proceeded to tell us that it was our equipment that had gone bad. Even though we never plugged into spot 50! I had planned on one night thank God! He did refund our $52. we had to drive down the road and try to find someplace else at 7:00 in the evening. Another thank God, the Walmart about 10 or 15 miles down the road would allow overnight. So we are now on our way to our next location which is about a 7 hour drive. We are just hoping that they did not damage our equipment. It has been extremely stressful if you go there you better watch out!

After 14 years as long-term renters at Lazy Days Campground in Mooers, New York, we are leaving…read morebecause of ongoing harassment, derogatory behavior, what we experienced as unequal treatment, and the way the situation was handled by management. During those 14 years, we had never experienced an issue like this. The situation involved a neighboring camper whom we never spoke to. There was no argument, confrontation, or personal dispute between us. Despite that, we began experiencing behavior from this camper that became extremely personal, degrading, and harassing. We reported what was happening to Jason. The campground has its own rules regarding derogatory comments and behavior, so we expected those rules to be enforced. We were not made aware of any action being taken regarding our complaints, there was no meaningful follow-up with us, and no resolution was communicated to us. At the same time, this same camper was making complaints about where we parked our vehicle, and those complaints were repeatedly acted upon. We were told to move our vehicle even though we were not parked on the neighbor's side. Our vehicle was well in front of our own camper. We took photographs clearly showing where we were parked and sent them directly to Jason so he could see the situation for himself. Even after Jason received the photographs showing that we were not on the neighbor's side, nothing was done to correct the situation, and we continued to be the ones told to move. That is a major part of why we felt we were being treated unfairly. Our reports involved harassment and derogatory behavior, yet we saw no meaningful response. Meanwhile, complaints made against us about something as simple as parking were acted upon, even after we provided photographs showing where our vehicle actually was. We also never had any direct interaction with this neighbor that would explain the hostility. We never spoke to them. After years without this type of problem, these issues began involving a camper who, to our understanding, is Jason's friend. We can only speak to what we personally experienced and documented, but the difference in how the complaints were handled left us feeling that the same standards were not being applied to everyone. Eventually, we had enough and gave notice that we were leaving. Jason has known about the situation and has had opportunities to speak with us about what happened. From our perspective, there has been no meaningful attempt to address the harassment, discuss why we reached the point of leaving, or resolve what occurred. We also contacted Jason requesting a prorated refund for the unused portion of our stay. As of the time of writing, we have not received a response to that request. After 14 years at this campground, we never imagined our time there would end this way. We have dates, messages, photographs, and other documentation concerning what occurred. We are choosing not to publicly repeat the most degrading and personal details of the harassment, but those incidents were reported to management.

We were not at their party, went to different location to view the eclipse. She claims that everyone raises their rate because of this event. I hope she tells me the truth, I will be ok with it. Again, the place was rather nice, just that misunderstand can happen. I was not able to edit my recent review due to site restriction. I am starting to see why they (Campground owners in Nor'Easter) don't open their campgrounds for the season until in the May.

We're from the Bronx and after 5.25 hrs of driving, pulled up to the gatehouse. We were greeted…read morewith a smile and warmly welcomed. Check-in was simple and we headed to our campsite. We got there and backed in. We liked the site at first, but decided to drive around the loop next door in search of a more suitable site. One was found that was unoccupied so we went back to the gatehouse to ask for a possible change. "Sure, no problem." He checked it and it was open. Our new site had privacy, good space, was clean and near a water spigot, the bathrooms, and was only a couple of sites from the manager, Steve, his wife Kay, and great dogs Kaya and Trump. Steve and Kay were friendly, informative, and went above and beyond to help us with any needs (like jumping my truck battery that I ran down while setting up camp with the doors open for too long.) Both dogs were very friendly and fun to visit with. Other positives included hikes along the lake, swimming at the Buck Pond beach (one young guy fishing from a kayak caught a 3.5 lb largemouth bass), and much, much more. Overall, Buck Pond Campground was a fine place to stay and enjoy the Adirondacks!

Buck Pond in the northern Adirondacks is one of the nicest campsites I've seen along the east…read morecoast. Actually beats some on the west coast too for camping snobs out there. The sites are nicely spaced so that you're not bumping up against an RV rave. As with any campground, some sites are significantly nicer than others. We were in site 84, pretty damn sweet with its own little trail to the lake. Not gonna divulge what we scouted as THE best which you need to reserve 9 months in advance FYI. Schedule that with your French Laundry resies. They also had boat rentals and a map of the many waterways to explore. Highly suggest the rope swing if you come across it on Rainbow Lake. The ranger/campground manager Bob is just generally awesome. He fueled our little firelet into a great big burner. Smoky the Bear, watch out! Bob also has a ski store in Jay, NY and is a part time maple syrup maker should anyone fancy a winter excursion to the Adirondacks.
