Very nice hotel, nice location with many restaurants and a grocery store nearby. Check in was fast and efficient and the front desk employee was helpful and very knowledgable about the area. Rooms are large and very nice. No refrigerator or microwave in the room though. I travel for work and like to bring some food and drinks with me so I really value a nice in-room refrigerator. If you stay are bothered by traffic noise request a room on the back side of the hotel. The road in front of the hotel is always very busy. read more

Check-in was fast and friendly. Located just out of town and very close to Murray State University, Restaurants, Grocery and other shopping necessities. This property offers a small selection of sodas, crackers, cookies and other items for purchase. Breakfast is free and served from 6:30 until 9:30AM, Pretty Good. Offerings include a pancake robot/machine, omelettes, sausage an assortment of breads, cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals & milk and of course juice, coffee, hot chocolate & water. The indoor pool was great since it was a rainy day and the children wanted to play, there's also a sauna and small exercise room. In addition, a few family members showed up with a big ole BBQ lunch and the staff here was very accommodating, they offered us the breakfast area to have space for everyone to have a relaxing meal together. Mr. Eddie at the front desk went above and beyond when he not only asked if we needed anything, but he personally delivered fresh towels, coffee to our room. I booked this hotel for a weekend stay in Murray. Check in was easy, and my room was more than adequate. Usually I use my own shampoo and conditioner, but the amenities provided were very nice so I used them. There were plenty of towels and washcloths. The room had a Keurig, microwave, and mini-fridge, which were nice touches. The beds were comfortable, with soft pillows and linens. I liked the light-up mirror in the bathroom for applying makeup. I do prefer a bathroom with a fan in a hotel, but it wasn't a huge bother. The breakfast was nice, plenty of options with several different hot selections. The two days I was there had different selections, so I'm guessing they vary things slightly by day. The breakfast room was small, though, and was full both times I was there. I noticed a few people eating in the lobby. The hotel is a little north of town, but right off the main road, making it easy to get to the University. I got just what i was looking for in a hotel on this trip. I didn't want to worry about anything, but also didn't need any extra amenities. If you're making a quick trip to Murray and also just want a nice place to sleep and keep your stuff, this is a great option. read more

Very disappointed in this hotel. They are going through renovations so the lobby is currently torn up and you check in at a little office desk in the hallway. However, that is to be expected when a hotel is being remodeled so I did not take that into account when I wrote my review. My room was recently renovated but the quality of the room and it's finishings was very lacking. Furniture seemed dated, cheap, and ugly. Walls were painted gray and there was not a single piece of artwork anywhere to break up the monotone. The headboard has holes drilled in it as if they intended to hang lights from the headboard but never did. The air conditioning unit and curtains both looked old and the curtains were so long that they draped over the AC unit. Take a look at the pictures I've posted to get an idea of what I'm talking about. The lighting in the room was very odd as the lamps did not give off much light and the light they did give off was very bright white. It added even more harshness to a room that already had an edge to it. The room has a very depressing feel to it. I'm glad I only stayed one night. read more

I'm writing a update on this hotel. I still say it's a solid option in town. However they decided to do away with jacuzzi rooms which was the draw for me when I was in town on business or leisure. I wish these decisions were made in the interest of guests. This was a offering that made them standout in a town with several similar options. read more

This is the nicest of four Murray motels we've tried. We were in a King-suite with a door between the bedroom and living area, two TVs, a refrigerator, and microwave. The breakfast was very good: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, gravy, cereal, milk, bananas, oranges, yogurt, juice, coffee, etc., PLENTY. It's just off the main north-south street on the north edge of town, not easy to walk anywhere, but very close by car to restaurants and shopping. read more

Hmmm... making beds is strenuous work. I'm sure that long brown hair I found on my sheets belonged to the maid. And if that maid had a partner to help her make the beds, and that partner had short, dark curly hair.... well, if that were the case this would totally be a 4-star review. Failing that, better ask for late check-out because you're going to need three showers. read more

I do not recommend at all , me and my friend was in murray for the night and made a reservation and when we got the hotel they couldn't find it so he had to call his manager and was on phone with him for about 30 minutes , so afterwards we finally get a room and we see a roach! So we immediately get our stuff and goto the front desk , they gave us a new room but it was very late at night so we ended up accidentally sleeping in until 1 and we get a call saying they was giving us a $25 late fee so we go down there and try to figure this out we was also told they was only charging my card $136 for the room but got the receipt underneath the door and it was $161 without the late fee. I will never be staying here again!! read more

Very nice hotel I took my team there and the front desk was very helpful really good employees! They started breakfast a few minutes early every day they always had hot coffee ready as well as making sure the cookies were replenished. Nice pool and sauna and weight room I will be staying here again with my team. read more

SCAM- I second the comment about being crooks. The assistant general manager not only charged me $200 for smoking when I AM NOT EVEN A SMOKER. He also brought two officers to the room. Let them in and offered to let them look around. The one office said "you're making me mad," and his face got red. "Keep talking and I'm going to issue a warrant." Wait, you're mad but you're in my room harassing me? So not only did I spend $211 for two nights but checked out on the 2nd night due to being harassed and told I was already charged $200 for something I didn't do. Prior to leaving I asked the front desk person to come smell my room. She stated it didn't smell like smoke or even of anything to cover up smoke. read more

Just trust me on this one, do not stay here. I worked at this hotel for a year, and while the hotel itself is mediocre at best...the management of the hotel treat it's staff like crap. Your front desk employees, they aren't allowed breaks. None. Even though that's illegal. The general manager, she engages in inappropriate relationships with her staff in and outside of the work place, on and off the clock. Their pay rate to their loyal long term employees is a downright insult and they will cover up and lie for the thieving dishonest staff and fire the ones who bend over backwards for them. Went to the IHG site and purchased a "2 room queen suite" it clearly had a door in the photo on their website. Once I check in they put me in a room that was just a long slender room with a small couch crowded in the corner. When I asked the front desk they acted like I was crazy and said that is another upgraded type and priced room. I showed them the photo on the website and then the bla,bla, bla started to flow about the pic is wrong and that is not their fault. Avoid this price trap and keep driving to the next town!
