Very clean, I would have given it a five stars if it had breakfast but there are plenty of places to eat here. Beds comfortable

They were so professional & nice- my daughter called several months before her New Year's Eve…read morewedding & requested rooms be blocked off for wedding guests- the person- was so helpful- other places were NOT helpful or kind- & -said they did not allow room blocks- so she even included your information on her wedding page information & we filled those rooms & a few extra! *VERY CLEAN--- like impressively clean!!! *ALL STAFF WE MET WERE NICE- KIND & HELPFUL!!! Very exceptional- thx for all you did! *Stayed here for a few days -for my daughter's wedding events at venue in Murray. *Check in was quick & easy! *Breakfast was very nice & a variety of hot & cold foods! Multiple juice/ drink options as well! ((( IMO- this would be a great family vacation stay option too! ))) *only gripe was we had trouble with the TV & a few lights in our room- & -no one could- or -would come look at it. (I felt like it was probably a flipped breaker since it was everything on the 1-wall of our room). It was late- & -there were no other rooms available to move us to- the next day the manager wrote me out a card for a free night in the future- since my bill was paid in advance. *My only other complaint- there are no carts to move your luggage & also no elevators. So ask for ground level if steps or carrying your heavier items are a problem. We were on the ground floor- thank the Lord- because we were physically exhausted both days from wedding set up- the rehearsal & then the actual wedding- & -lastly take down of said wedding afterwards. Whew -it was alotta work! *Hotel is on main strip leading into town- so it's close to most anything you might want to eat- it's close to the stadium/ MSU campus as well. It was not far from venue- The Barn at White Oak -where they got married! THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!!

We lost power during a bad storm and decided to ride the rest of the storm out at the Best Western…read more They offered us a discounted rate and were VERY accommodating. We ended up staying 3 nights until our power was restored, and had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful staff. Jessica, Tammy, Ron, Nicole and Talissa were amazing. A true "shelter from the storm".

After a long day of travel, my family and I pulled into the Springhill Suites by Marriott parking…read morelot exhausted and ready to relax. Fortunately, we were quickly checked-in by a gentleman (I was so fatigued that I forgot to obtain his name) at the customer service desk. The gentleman provided us all with our keys (my parent's and sister had one room, while my wife and I had another) and a detailed rundown of the hotel's amenities (i.e., gym, indoor swimming pool, complimentary buffet-style breakfast, mini-market, and bar). Desiring to wind down and enjoy an adult beverage (or two), my wife and I headed down to the bar. The bar area is very comfortable and has a plenty of seating options. We were warmly greeted by a bartender named Megan who immediately inquired about our drinks of choice. For the first round we opted for vodka tonics and margaritas for the second round. Megan was so kind to hand us a remote to one of the televisions so that we could tune it to a station of our desire (at the time we were the only individuals at the bar). Megans drinks were absolutely delicious (especially her margarita) and she even provided us with popcorn to soak up the alcohol. After a much needed night of quality sleep (I forgot to mention that the rooms are very spacious and clean), my wife and I headed downstairs to grab some breakfast. That particular morning they had the following food & drink options: scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes (complete with peppers and onions), a wide range of cereal, muffins, bagels, yogurt, juice, coffee, and tea. After enjoying the surprisingly good breakfast (hotel free breakfast can be hit or miss), we made our way to the gym. The gym had an exercise bike, treadmill, elliptical, and dumbbells up to 50 pounds...plenty of equipment to get in a good workout. We enjoyed our three day and two nights stay at the Springhill Suites by Marriott, I have bookmarked this hotel for future stays whenever I'm in town visiting my family in Murray!

Beware of predatory cancellation policies on Marriott's promotional rates!…read moreI booked a three-night stay at the Murray Hotel months in advance using the Senior Citizen rate for my elderly mother. Tragically, my mother suffered a severe fall requiring emergency hip surgery, making our trip impossible. Even though I cancelled a full three weeks in advance, Marriott charged us for the entire stay--hundreds of dollars. They claimed this specific rate was tied to a ridiculous 30-day cancellation window. Here is why this feels completely deceptive: Shifting Rules: Looking at their website right now, that same Senior Citizen rate is listed as "cancel the night before." Zero Transparency: The online cancellation system gave me no warning or notice that I was about to be charged the full amount. Absurd Demands: A 30-day cancellation requirement for a standard July booking is unheard of in the hotel industry. I reached out directly to both Murray Hotel management and Marriott Corporate. Neither offered a shred of empathy or flexibility for an unexpected medical emergency. Their response was essentially: "Too bad, we're keeping your money." Shame on Marriott for hiding behind fine print to profit off a family medical crisis. Think twice before booking their promotional rates!
