Paris Landing State Park is an 841-acre park located in Buchanan, TN Room: Each lodge room offers a private balcony with views of Kentucky Lake. The room is spacious, the beds are comfortable and the sunset/sunrise views from my 4th floor balcony were amazing Food: We enjoyed lunch and dinner at the lodge. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The food was much better than expected. The bar cocktails were also much cheaper than anticipated and were delicious Group favs: Southwest egg rolls and the Rockslide brownie with the expresso icecream. Outdoor fun: we had a chance to walk the Raptor trial, visit the marina and public swim areas. Great spot for family, friends or a work retreat. The staff are friendly and the space is welcoming. The grounds are very well cared for and is evident as you'll see them cleaning and tending to upkeep throughout the day. read more

The Lodge at Paris Landing provides wonderful accommodations! Everything is new and well-kept. Staff are friendly and welcoming. At other TN State Park Lodges we haven't always been able to check-in early, but we had no issue here. We also requested a quiet room away from the elevator and we got just that! Restaurant- we arrived Saturday evening and the restaurant was super busy.... The wait was an hour and a half but we were able to sit at the bar. The bartender was super busy so drinks and ordering our meal took some time....the bartender "Alexis" did an awesome job.... We ordered the pork chop with rice and vegetables.... And fettuccine Alfredo with chicken Cajun style.... The pork plate, the rice and vegetables were cold and the pork under cooked....the fettuccine was awesome but light on sauce ... I order a shrimp cocktail when I returned the pork and that was tasty... This restaurant just opened and staffing was an issue on this day... Overall I will return because it has potential to be great. read more

Recently stayed here after a totally miserable stay at Lake Barkley Lodge in KY ( see other review). check in- pleasant, friendly, timely Room- clean, neat. nice view - All rooms are Lake view We went and sat on the patio overlooking KY Lake. There was a chill from temps in upper 60s/low 70s with a 20mph wind. we asked 3 separate people about turning on the fire pits.( around 430pm). never happened. We had dinner in the restaurant and ordered 2 appetizers ( smoked salmon dip, fried cheese curds), and 2 entrees from the menu. wife had the tuna poke tacos ( an appetizer) and I ordered the fried Camp Hazelwood Bologna sandwich with white beans as my side. Our server was great. Price for the above, including vodka tonic with splash of cranberry- $53 Honestly, everything was good. The smoked salmon dip was a little disappointing. it was obviously, premade, preformed, placed in cooler. So was "hard" and a little dry. Have had better, but have had far worse. After dinner, we went and sat back out on the patio, and made sure we had long sleeves on, and temps had dropped, and still 20mph winds coming off the lake. Around 8:45 pm, an employee came by and asked if we would like to have the fire pit turned on? well, sure... about 5 hours ago. Once the fire pit was turned on, it got crowded, and loud. Someone thought they had to come and sit in the peaceful atmosphere and watch a college football game on max volume, on their phone. Never mind you are spoiling everyone else's evening. In the morning, went down for the Continental Breakfast. This is where the disappointment took place. 1 waffle maker working, slimy premade frozen "omelette" warmed up. NO bacon, sausage, hash browns, fresh fruit. there was no milk, and no cereals. Wife and I both agreed, beds were uncomfortable and needed replaced. Nice place for a "getaway" read more

We visited 6/24. This is our first visit since the remodel. The place is beautifully updated. We loved the place. My wife and I brought our youngest daughter and her family and one of our employees and his family. We came to bring the kids to the pool and relax and that we did. The rooms were awesome. The girls working the check in/ front desk are cute, very friendly, kind and eager to be helpful. The ladies and gentleman working the dining area are friendly, kind and eager to serve. The only negative person we encountered was the lady working the breakfast area. Rude and hateful is the only way to describe her. She's just doing the wrong job she's not cut out for. Beautiful, well designed and a great get away for high school girlfriends from many years ago to share memories of great times as teenagers and make many new ones. We chose to spend most of our time relaxing in the spacious cabin. There were two bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms had two full size beds in each and one bedroom with one queen size! Perfect for each of the five of us to sleep comfortably in our own bed. The kitchen in Cabin#2 was well equipped for as much you want to work--cooking but no dishwasher. read more

Beautiful property and lodge. The rooms are wonderful, with all having a view. Clean, comfortable beds, the bathrooms are nice, with big showers. Just be prepared to drive a bit if you don't want to eat at the restaurant at the lodge every night. read more

Beautiful resort and great view of the lake for dining in especially outdoors, but the menu needs improvement. Nobody at my table was crazy about their meals, they weren't bad,but nothing to talk about. The service is pretty friendly and fast. Definitely suggest updating their menu. read more

Ms. Jones and her rock star husband heard rumors they may be opening soon and were pleasantly surprised today to find they have a soft opening this week! This stylish resort is LOVELY, and the food is DELICIOUS. On this Memorial Day weekend, Ms. Jones had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich, and her beloved enjoyed a Mushroom Swiss burger. 5 stars all the way for both of these tasty treats. Service was excellent and the restaurant and lodge are absolutely beautiful. A great uncomplicated menu and full bar await you. With a breathtaking lake view, what more could you ask for??? Don't ever say Ms. Jones hasn't done anything for you. You're welcome. read more

When we first got to the lodge, we LOVED it. Its absolutely stunning and the check in employees were great. Our room was clean and the view was spectacular. I did notice that even though it's only 1.4 years old, the laminate tiles are coming up in the rooms and the place is COVERED in spider webs. Dinner was just ok, basic. The reason it's 1 star and not 4 is because that night the fire alarm went off at 1:45am, which in itself is fine. Better to be safe than sorry. We all evacuated and we're waiting for further command, but there wasn't an employee to be found for awhile. When he did appear, he didn't seem to know what to do..which is no way a reflection on him, but on management for not preparing staff for this kind of situation. The manager/employee on call appeared and walked into the building, but didn't say a word to the guests and we never saw her again. Once we were given the all clear by first responders (not by employees), we were told that we could return to our rooms, but that the alarm would be sounding indefinitely because the staff didn't know how to turn it off. The whole thing was about 3-4 hours and about 1.5-2 hours of that was that they couldn't turn the alarm off. We were told in the morning there was a "glitch" and it just was what it was. I totally understand things happen and I definitely don't mind evacuating, but the lack of communication from staff and the lack of care by management given to the elderly guests that were stuck in the cold for a couple hours was disgusting. There wasn't even an apology or gesture at check out..just basically stuff happens. Take your money elsewhere..somewhere that not only has better food, but that shows guests compassion and understanding. read more

Beautiful lodge with restaurant where you can sit outside and overlook the lake. I ordered the super grilled cheese with bacon and I loved it my husband order Nashville hot and it was huge and good. We sat outside and they do have 3 nice fire pits. But check there times bc we went back yesterday and there was people eating but they did not seat us bc they close from 3-5. We had drove and hour. I don't like to complain but here's my overall opinion. Good beer, and fries... That's about it. Got a medium burger, it was well done. I'm pretty sure the pasta was microwaved. Had my food served to the wrong table first. Drinks were watered down. The long island literally tasted like soda and was super sweet. Service was prompt but we were never asked about our food. I was driving around exploring Tennessee and found this wonderful resort. I just went in for lunch. Our waitress was fantastic. For appetizers, we had fresh preztel bites with beer cheese that were out of this World. The entrée was fried catfish with hush puppies, french fries and white beans with bacon. It was delicious and for very reasonable price. The views from the restaurant were spectacular. The service was great and quick. We didn't have to wait barely at all and it was Sunday lunch time. read more

This is my second visit and the second was the worse service we have ever had. The food was good but the staff hasn't been trained at all. We saw our waitress maybe one time the entire time and they even forgot one of our food totally. I won't be going back seeing how bad the service is. read more

Husband and I stayed at the lodge for our 32nd anniversary and ate at the restaurant there. The view is incredible and we really enjoyed the food. We had a lunch and dinner there. Catfish was incredible and drinks were yummy. But I think my favorite dish was the fried bologna sandwich with their flat french fries, omg it was so good. I haven't had one in years and I am so glad I ordered it. I wish I'd taken a picture of the food but I always forget. I would definitely recommend this place for the food and lodging! read more

The brand new restaurant at the Lodge blew all my expectations out of the water. (Especially if you're comparing it to the old hotel and restaurant) First of all, the new enormous lodge building is absolutely beautiful. The views of the lake from all the public areas and restaurant are breathtaking. We went on Friday night and it was jam packed; the wait was about 45 minutes. We sat at the bar (which is also lovely) and had a drink. The bartenders were wildly busy so it took a minute to order but they were very pleasant and working hard! The dining room is decorated kind of 'lake modern' and minimal and was very comfortable. The tile floor in the large room did make all the diners conversations a bit loud but it didn't bother us. We ordered the fried cheese curds to start which I highly recommend! Very tastey. We had catfish with fries and a pork chop with macaroni and cheese and it was all delicious. Our waitress was extremely professional and attentive even though she was very busy. This is an absolute gem on Kentucky Lake and I can't wait to go back. read more

We so excited to go to the new lodge, but were so disappointed. The staff were very friendly but apparently the internet used is extremely slow...like dial up slowafter 20 minutes we get checked in. The room was nice. We had a five minute wait for seating at the restaurant so yay things were looking up, but no sadly not. Our waitress was very friendly and told us there would be a wait for our drinks because only one bartender, keeping that in mind we ordered a draft beer and a vodka rocks. Our waitress came back after 20 minutes and said it would be a little longer on the drinks, ok we ordered our food, two pork chop plates and an hour later we got them. Still no drinks from the bar, so water was the drink for the night. One of the pork chops was cooked to perfection the other was so dry, very drastic difference between them. We didn't dare send it back because we were already 1 1/2 hours into trying to get supper. Hopefully management gets the kinks worked out soon. The continental breakfast consisted of sweet breads, cereal, waffles, prepackaged hard boiled eggs, string cheese, coffee and juices. Overall a bit disappointing for a brand new facility. Was not worth the price at all! read more
