Try to ask the wifi password when u get there cause the guys are always around but theres not a front desk so u have to go down and find them to ask them and the reception is horrible (please put a little sign with the pass!) Also the toilet paper was almost gone (could be replaced before welcoming us)and the Kleenex box had just one..the one that was showing hehe. Some spoons for the coffee table in the room and the breakfast area as well. It's the little things what tell us paying more is worth it. I say is more a bed and breakfast than a boutique hotel. . We struggled a little in the beginning because of the contract, and the manager of the facility was a stickler for by the book, but other than that we had a wonderful event. It was safe and beautiful just as the others were before ours. We had heard scary stories, but our nerves were calmed after seeing for ourselves. We have even come back to do community events here. We realize why everyone comes to this place. Miss Sheena was very helpful and made sure that we understood things and how they worked. She was also great at helping us plan and have resources. Many of the hall safety features such as safety lights a falling off the walls, there are areas with broken down old refrigerators and other equipment just sitting out near the exits. The whole place smells like mold. My co workers rooms have a heavy oder of mold and or mildew. The surfaces of the furniture are dirty, only and thankfully the beds look cleanish. No smoke detectors The elevators are filthy the halls are filthy with brown splashes of who knows what. I could go on but you get the picture !

Only stayed for the few minutes to double my money on black. The smoke-free casino on the beach side was very good- big windows, good space between the games, restrooms nice. The bands on the tall stage on Friday and Saturday night were both great- played covers. Tables are good, dealers good. Rooms are very nice- comfy beds, roomy shower, can tell everything is new and all the chosen decor is good. Pool was so nice- fabulous swim up bar and the whole area was great- great vibe- scenery- had giant jenga and cornhole set up. Only two things in the room were subpar- a cheap plastic toilet seat and lid- thin plastic- super cheap and it moved around, guess one of the bolts had broken. Then, the shelf under the sink is constructed with cheap particle board. Definitely some costs were cut and noticeable. Also the first impression while actually on the property was extremely bad. The parking garage is disgusting. It needs a power wash. Elevator, posts, every surface looked so grimy. Trash and odd and ends, like leftover construction equipment, landing place for junk storage. There are no lines for the parking spots- cars parked at whatever angle they picked. First impression bad, but overall was a very good stay and would adjust arrival time to avoid the parking garage. I had a slice of lemon meringue pie and it was hot. I spoke with a manager to point out our displeasure and he told us he would address it. I told him it was unbelievable that their people would put this food out knowing how it was. The highlight was our server she did an excellent job so kudos to her. It'll definitely be a long time we before we return, we definitely like their Dock Side Deli restaurant. Kudos to Island View Casino's social networking specialist Lilly G, for taking the time to address our concerns I'll definitely let the group know, and that we might consider revisiting the buffet again at a later date to see if they've stepped up their food quality.
