I had a family event in Pass Christian on a Saturday, so I decided to make a weekend of it. I…read morelooked at the hotel in BSL and it was way over my budget for what it was. I chose this boutique over the other one down the street because of price, parking, and convenience. The hotel has pictures of every room on their website, what the balcony will be and your view, the bathroom area, everything, so there were no surprises. I booked online and was charged pretty quickly, as they tell you up front. There are about 3-4 hours where a staff member is there to check in, and if for some reason you can't go during that time, they will leave your information out for you. Parking was easy, and there are plenty of well-lit spaces. At night, the spots on Scenic are usually taken by patrons of Bacchus and the Deck, but you should be able to still find a safe one. You I was greeted by the friendliest employee (Jordan, I believe), and I was made to feel like an old friend very quickly. There is a code to enter the room. My room was super cute and cozy. I was in 205, immediately off the elevator. I had a small balcony that is directly over the door of the hotel. The bathroom is large - so much space. There was a stand up shower only, and there could have been better lighting, but there was a lot of space in there. Even though my room was immediately at the elevator, I never heard a sound from anyone. There is a communal Keurig on each floor. i opted out of housekeeping for my short weekend stay, but I heard them when I was getting ready and they sounded friendly speaking to another guest. Be sure to head over the Bacchus and the Deck for your discounted meal. Both restaurants are just across the street and they're local favorites. You can walk over to the coffee/book store, the wine and spirits shop is a short walk, along with some little gift stores and even a take out sushi place. You can get to the beach by foot and there is a pedestrian crosswalk just down the street. I will certainly recommend Hotel Pass Christian to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay for a nice weekend.

And the parking is a short walk around the building. Just FYI! I thought our room came with two parking pass but no you have to pay for it separate.

The Good: -Fantastic rate that we booked at the time (mid-April, less than $150/night, stayed for two nights) -Rooms were clean the hotel was mostly quiet -There was room service available from the three adjoining establishments mentioned above. -In Room temperature control worked well, it cooled the room well -Most of the staff was friendly, helpful, professional, kind, and speedy with any questions we asked or requests we had -The bathrooms, the elevators, the hallways... extremely clean. Loved that! -The happenings of the hotel and surrounding places is posted in the elevator in an itinerary style laminate. Very cool. -This may not sound like a big deal... but it is: the TV and remote both worked and made sense! -The location of the hotel is in walking distance of the beach, and bunch of fun restaurants and shops. It has a small town beach vibe to it... but that is the charm! The Bad: -The rooms, though being nice, did have a bit of dilapidation on them. Not sure how, since the place is so new. -One person up front was particularly rude, and when we asked simple questions cut to the quick with rejections or with one-word answers without making eye contact. Typically if we asked another host, the answer was friendly and different, so not sure what this person was going through during our stay. -We booked our stay and were not informed that two days, the restaurant had been rented out for special events. This kept us from enjoying any of the cuisine there. -The reserved parking is around the corner in a gated lot, not connected to the hotel and not covered, so your vehicle will be exposed to the elements. Overall, we loved our stay. And plan to stay again sometime! It's a hidden gem.

We had the privilege of meeting Madge at the front desk, who wad professional yet very personable. We felt welcome like a friend coming over to visit. Immediately we felt cool and comfortable inside, despite the humidity outside. It was SO CLEAN, well-maintained and decorated perfectly. Very professional. The room seemed more open than other hotel rooms, like more square footage. The bed was AMAZINGLY COMFORTABLE and there was a lot of space in the bathroom. The way they displayed towels, set up the shower curtain in a design and the cleanliness was impressive. it made me appreciate the meticulousness of the employees that cleaned and maintained the hotel. Breakfast was also impressive. My husband pointed out a juice machine that will squeeze orange halves, drop the rinds in a discard bucket and give you fresh juice at the touch of a button. ALL of the food we selected was really good! There was a lovely young lady with braided hair walking through the breakfast area ensuring things were kept clean and dabbing any spills from guests. She was so nice! We are both retired law enforcement, and appreciated a well-lit parking area. To the staff and management of THE INN AT LONG BEACH, " Thank You" for your skill and efforts. We could tell you put in more effort to make your hotel the best it can be for your guests. As we left, we called family and made arrangements to come back. We plan to bring bikes and enjoy the paved walking/biking path on the beach across the street, and the older downtown shops and restaurants nearby!!

Every member of the staff are always friendly and helpful, not to mention knowledgeable about the surrounding area! They give great recommendations on things to do and places to eat. The hotel itself is wonderful. Always very clean and welcoming but not sterile or harsh. It's perfectly situated across the road from the beach, which makes it marvelously easy to spend all your time there if you wish. A quick jaunt across the street and you're in paradise. I love waking up to the sound of the ocean (if I can hear it when we have the air conditioner cranked as low as it will go!) and being able to relax in the pool with a nice view. The view of the gulf from our room was wonderful as well, looking out over the ocean and into the distance. You can see islands during the day and lit-up boats at night! I'm not a big morning eater but what they have, I enjoy! My traveling companions are hotel breakfast aficionados and they absolutely love the breakfast here. You can order freshly made pancakes with loads of topping/inclusion options, have some down-home biscuits and gravy, and even a glass of freshly-squeezed orange juice!! My only small complaint is that the wifi was very spotty. I had to log in literally every time I opened my phone or laptop. It's possible that the connection issues had something to do with us being in a (very nice) corner room? I'm not sure. I never brought it up with the front desk because I'm not here to be online anyway and I'm not sure if any of my family asked about it either. It really is a great place to stay, and reasonably priced to boot!
