The woman at the front desk was friendly enough and she got me and my dog checked in quickly. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had shiny, new chrome fixtures. Unfortunately, there were rowdy guests that arrived very early in the morning and then another morning drama between guests that were locked out of a room. Not exactly the hotel's fault, though a more authoritative front desk could have curbed both the late night yelling and the early morning pleading, and a tighter seal on my door would have muffled the noise better. (I could easily see the hall lights coming between the door and the jamb.) Breakfast was tasty with a decent selection and the price was right!

Hotel is clean and help is friendly. Overpriced for what you get but not much else in the market to choose from.

Happy hour - From 1730 to 1900 they provide free food (nachos, hot dogs, pasta) and 3 free drinks. Choices are limited, but....free! Rooms - large and comfortable. The bed in mynroom was a new, comfy king with 5 ample pillows. The bathroom has a separate toilet and sink.divided by a door. The shower is large with glass doors and the shower heading fantastic. No tub. They have a pool and hot tub indoors. Parking is easy but the lot is shared with Red Lobster. We were already charge because they could t find us and booked another reservation. In checking out with the front desk, we wanted to make sure the no-show charge would be cancelled or reversed, the idiot at the desk accused us of booking through a third-party site and told us to call them. They didn't ask, just assumed. Again showed the app and the first reservation and proved we booked direct. She went and got the GM to reverse it. Frickin idiot! The breakfast is crap. Powder eggs, smoked sausage as a breakfast meat, empty fruit bowl, sweetened yogurt. Good sides are that the beds were clean (not the floors or the shower) the water pressure is great. At least the ice makers on the other floors weren't out of order. Don't trust GPS to get here. You have to look for it. New construction area. Seems like a good area but a lot of people were hanging out in busted junk cars parked behind the building so I wonder if someone allows people to car camp back there. Just be careful is traveling alone.

A fitness area. A talking elevator. Our stay was in room 420 on the fourth floor. The floor smelt interesting like a fresh laundry smell. The room was modern looking with a nice 60"+ tv, mini dirge and two queen sized bed. Though the tv wouldn't let me hook up to my Netflix or let me screen mirror which was a bummer. The beds were comfortable. The one staff lady working the breakfast one day was an absolute sweetheart. Smiling and checking in on everyone making sure everyone is enjoying their meal and wishing them a blessing their day. Overall good experience. Though it would have been nice if someone had follow up about the tv issue.

I booked six nights here for some business meetings. Got in late 3 hours late because of a delayed flight so I didn't get to the hotel until almost ten at night. I finally get to the room on the back side of the motel which is next to the freeway so it is very noisy. Then I get open the door, flip the light switch by the door, and nothing happens. Whatever lamp is supposed to work off the switch is either not there or not plugged into the proper outlet so I have to walk in the dark to the opposite end of the room, fumble around and find a light switch by the sink. Then I notice the faint smell of cigarette smoke in what is supposed to be a non-smoking room. Then I start to unpack. That's when I notice that they have NO PLACE to hang clothes - that's a problem for my week's worth of business attire. Where the rod to hang clothes would normally be there are only two hooks on the wall with signage on them telling me to hang my towels there and save the planet. I contact the front desk and ask if there have any rooms where I can hang clothes. She tells me no, that they removed all of the hanging rods and replaced them with hook back in May. I wonder whose bright idea that was?? What are they thinking? Then I ask about refunding the rest of my stay because I do not want to stay another five nights here. Of course, shesays that she isn't authorized to refund anything because I booked through Expedia and said that I have to call them. So I call Expedia, talk to someone from who knows where - all I know is her foreign accent made her EXTREMELY hard to understand. She puts me on hold and contacts the hotel. She comes back on the line and says that she contacted the hotel desk and they told her that they cannot authorize a refund and that I have to contact the manager in the morning. LOL. I told her that I had already talked to the front desk and they said they couldn't refund me and that I had to go through Expedia and now Expedia says I have to go through the hotel. Anyway, the next morning the hotel manager approved letting me cancel my remaining five nights here. If you just need a place to crash for a night it's okay, but for an extended stay you might want to look elsewhere.

We went down to the bistro to have a drink in the evening and the bartender, "Q" was very sweet and friendly. Special shout out to her! There are many restaurants right near the hotel. We were there only 1 night, but we were more than satisfied with the hotel and the service. I would not hesitate to stay there again if I ever needed to be in Dayton.

Whoever's Running the Show 5 Stars to your entire Staff…read more To the entire staff at TownePlace Suites by Marriott - Dayton North, Our family was displaced due to landlord neglect, and we arrived at your hotel during one of the most overwhelming and uncertain moments of our lives. We were exhausted, scared, and carrying the weight of a situation no family should ever have to face -- and you welcomed us with warmth, dignity, and compassion from the very first moment. When our own property management couldn't provide even the most basic support or safety, your team stepped in with the kind of humanity and professionalism that changed everything for us. Every single person we encountered -- management, housekeeping, maintenance, night staff, front desk, and even the contractors working on the building and clearing snow -- treated us with genuine respect and care. You didn't just give us a place to stay. You gave us stability, consistency, and a sense of normalcy when everything else in our world felt unstable. There was never a moment where we felt like an inconvenience. You made us feel like family. You noticed when our stay became long-term and went out of your way to make sure we had what we needed every single day. You restocked without us asking. You checked in on us. You remembered us. You treated us with kindness that felt rare and deeply needed. Some of your staff are young, just beginning adulthood and their careers, yet they showed a level of work ethic, pride, and professionalism that many seasoned workers never achieve. The consistency, the effort, the heart -- it was remarkable. In contrast to the neglect and indifference we experienced elsewhere, your team demonstrated what true dedication and care look like. Even during the busiest times -- including the Final Four at UD when the hotel was fully booked -- you still took care of us without hesitation. You never let us go without. You never made us feel forgotten. You never made us feel like "just another guest." You made us feel safe, supported, and human again. Your entire team is outstanding. Truly outstanding. We will forever be grateful for the way you treated our family during a time when we desperately needed compassion and stability. You gave us both. You gave us more than you know. Thank you for everything -- the smiles, the conversations, the small acts of kindness, the big acts of support, the respect, the consistency, the warmth, and the humanity. You are the definition of what hospitality should be. With heartfelt appreciation, A Dayton Family displaced with you for 55 days
