It is an ok hotel, clean and comfortable (close to M1) and a short drive to Silverstone, if you are working on the circuit

Whittlebury Hall - Hotel Exterior

Whittlebury Hall

This place is a real treat for the Formula One fan, such as myself. From the Ferrari memorabilia…read morelike Michael Schumacher's racing suit or (my personal favourite) Rubens Barrichello's racing boots and shirt to the amazing wall photos that details many decades of Formula One's racing heroes. I was here for an evening event and I must commend the staff here, they were all very friendly and helpful, With the exception of the desk staff at the entrance. It was a pretty frosty greeting from them, and a real lacking of helpful information in finding where I was going along the never ending snaking corridors of Whittlebury Hall. If you get the chance, see if you can find the letters that Princess Diana wrote that are framed in the lobby area. A little slice of history there. I still prefer the F1 stuff though! I came here during December, so I am commenting about this place in a slightly off-peak time. I can imagine that it gets to be absolutely bedlam when Silverstone is in full flow during the summer. I'd love to return though. See you soon!

We stayed here during the a Silverstone Grand Prix and the hotel offered a variety snacks and water for guests to take with them to the track free of charge. At breakfast, they also had bacon and sausage sandwiches pre-wrapped and ready to pack and go. If you're coming to the F1 race, I would definitely recommend staying here!

I stay in the Premier Inn Northampton Town Centre on Swan Street almost on a weekly basis for work…read more I've stayed in other Premier Inn hotels all across the country for work and am quite loyal to the brand. Pros: * City Centre Based * Majority of the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. * Rooms are nice, spacious and modern * Usual small TVs have been replaced with decent Large Flat Screen TVs (Although awkwardly placed above the desk) * Food isn't too bad Cons: * Mobile Signal Blackspot - it seems impossible to get a signal in majority of the rooms in the hotel. Which when they don't have phones in the room is pretty frustrating. A small card is left on the desk to call reception if you need anything however with no signal this is pointless. * Cleanliness - I'm not sure if i'm just unlucky but when you practically live in hotels you notice the cleanliness more. I've routinely had to complain about the attention to cleaning. Regularly I find hairs all over the bath/shower as well as marks on the pillow cases. I've also come back to the room after work to find its also not been serviced.
