Today I went to Rajinda Paresh in Centre parcs Woburn, the food was very nice but the onion barjis were the best I've ever eaten but the main chicken tikka masala was quiet nice but the sauce was a bit to tomatoey for my likening, overall I gave this 4 stars because it was a very lovely meal. read more

This was the worst cabin-styled Accommodations I have seen. The rules are way too strict and inconsistant. The staff gets rude when expressing that "no cars can park on the cabin streets" and yet several cars were doing so. Staff even rode by and didn't say anything. If our car was there, we were told it had to move. When we tried to park to unpack we were repeatedly told we have 10 minutes because the car must go int the lot. Also, the cabins are semi-detached, meaning two share a main wall. There is no trye privacy around the cabin and we had blneighbor children running around and screaming around our side of the cabin. When my infant was trying to nap kids ran theough trees and bushes on "our half" and the parents didn't care. This place is also very restictive with who can and can't enter. I understand security needs but they don't even allow day visitors. That was the whole point of us staying their-to see family. If you are not listed on the booking, you were not allowed in at all. We had a party of 8 and we had a family of 4 we were trying to visit. They lived close bu so why should they pay to stay there? We weren't allowed to visit with them inside the parc. We also had an elderly couple and an infant in our party and the staff was very short tempered and even rude about allowing us to be dropped at pur cabin instead of walking uphill for about10 minutes, after a long busy day outside the parc grounds. One particular security guard was quite short with us at 10pm, after we had been out all day. He specifically said "do you want me to be a nice guy or a mean guy?" When we asked if we could be dropped at the cabin with half the group nearly asleep in the car. We said "a nice guy..?" As if it were a joke and he said something along the lines of "well, I will allow you to take 10 min to deop the group but then you have to move the car." This was the same rule we got every might and he made it sound like a big favor but it wasn't! They charge for everything, including pool towels- which are charged each day for them and you have to return them at the end of your pool visit. The cabins are very far away from the main village center so it is about a 10 min walk minimum to get there. Not a big deal unless you have small children or disabled party members. The pool staff never actually did anything to people who disobeyed the rules. A large group of children were going down head first, stopping on slides, and dirupting multiple groups of guests trying to enjoy the amenities. Instead of banning them from the pool area, after multiple attempts of "talking to them", they merely ignored them. The staff also cleans your cabin without asking you or letting you know. They even took products we had purchased at the store like toilet paper and paper towels and they replaced with their version which wasn't as good (hence why we bought it ourselves). The dining options were also terrible! All the great restaurants with amazing menus that had variety would not deliver to the cabin nor could you do take away you had to dine in only. The take away didn't exist on the entire property and you had to order online and have it delivered to your cabin and there were very limited choices. It also took over an hour for a food delivery that consisted of four items including a salad and it was promised at 30 to 40 minutes. When I called to ask what was taking so long they just said "it should be out in the next 10 minutes we're just really busy". If you didn't know how to use the online portal you are pretty much screwed. Since we barely had access even with Wi-Fi because everybody was on Wi-Fi and we have an international phone system so we didn't have strong data roaming, it was almost impossible to get anything done. To reiterate this was the worst place to stay. I do not recommend. As someone with 10+ years of hospitality experience this Company needs a hard lesson in guest/customer service and experience. read more
Such a cool concept and place for family fun! I remember checking out of my hotel wondering why the United States doesn't have anything like this and if they do... where and what is it called?!?! Haha. My sister and I joined a family holiday here not knowing what to expect. After looking at the website was a bit skeptical and thought it was too "baby like" where the activities would not be appealing to us. I remember looking at the website and seeing that they had a spa and immediately thought that was where we were going to spend our 5 day holiday at but surprisingly it wasn't. My and sister and I stayed in the hotel part of the park and the rest of the family stayed in a lodge that consisted of 2 bedrooms and a full kitchen. We figured that my sister and I could hang out and eat at the lodge during the day and could go back to the hotel when it was time to sleep. It worked perfectly! Although there are bigger lodges (3 rooms and up) available, we were happy to have a separate accommodation. There were many activities for not only the children but for adults also! The baby we were with was only 6 months so we were limited on activities to do with the infant. We signed him up to meet "Father Santa" (What they call Santa in the UK) and for swimming (Santa and Swimming sounds a bit crazy thinking winter and swimming) in the indoor pool and dome. It was quite impressive! Center Parc definitely knows how to decorate and celebrate the Christmas holidays. The display of trees, reindeers (yes, they had real ones), snow, and with the staff dressed as elves were one of the best displays I've ever seen (despite Disneyland). They definitely went above and beyond for the children and it was amazing. The staff (dresses as elves) were always in character, always so friendly and were extremely entertaining. *Note that on Wednesday's there are fireworks at 6pm. That can be watched around the lake* Again, the firework display was even better than I thought it would be. My sister and I two grown women stood there in awe and said that the show was almost good as a Disneyland display of fireworks! Amazing! My sister and I also enjoyed treatments at the Spa (Aqua Sana) and signed up for a pottery painting class. Both activities were highly rated and we were glad to have experienced it. Center Parc was overall a relaxing and a great place for family fun. If you get sucked in to going here with the family be relieved because there is also a sports bar on site that you can always sneak off to! With tons of things going on in the park I'm sure you'll find something that will keep you entertained and busy! (If not, there's wifi almost everywhere!) read more

I was very fortunate to be treated to a weekend at CenterParcs Woburn by the mother in law to be this weekend. She paid for the whole family and we fit into 3 chalets Without wanting to sound overly cheeky, I would characterise CenterParcs as Butlins for the middle classes. As described by one of my fiancée's nephews, it's a little bubble out of reality and the parc is self sufficient to meet every need for dining and entertainment On arrival, you're checked in and directed to your chalet, where you drive up to unload before parking your car in the large car park for the weekend. The car-free ambiance is one of the best things about the parc. The most exotic road vehicle to run you over is probably one of the Segways available as an book able experience There is a wealth of options to entertain yourself with many having the bonus of being healthy. There are sports halls and facilities, both for indoors and outdoors, including more daredevil options like the climbing wall and zip line. Family friendly options like a craft centre, mini golf and pedalos are available. The only downside is that these all cost extra and the costs can quickly build up They are very proud of their free subtropical swimming paradise and rightly so. I spent most of the weekend here heading down the 4 flumes, going down the outdoor river rapids, floating round the lazy river on a tyre or braving the waves in the wave pool. A special shoutout to the 4 person-in-a-raft Tornado, which is the best funnel waterside I've been on The main public facilities are grouped into 2 big areas, The Plaza & The Village Square. You'll find restaurants, some shopping and a supermarket. There are chains like Cafe Rouge and Strada as well as an expensive Indian for dining out though their delivered food looks better priced The terrain is largely flat and the walk from our chalets to the public areas took 10 minutes. The mother in law to be had no problems walking despite using a stick. CenterParcs claim a maximum walking distance of 15 mins and that seems accurate Woburn is their newest location and the chalets are in good shape. Warm, comfortable and clean. The kitchen has induction hobs and although we have done with a few more pans, we produced some good food this weekend. Though located in a terrace formation, clever angling makes each chalet feel separate. You do also feel that you're in woodland and there were a lot of new saplings so the site will mature with age They give you limited amounts of essentials but I'd strongly advise to bring extra toilet paper, dishwasher tabs and washing up liquid They had new technology such as waterproof wristbands which act as keys for the chalets as well as lockers at the swimming centre. Shame they only give one per room in the chalet. Wifi was free and fast The last feature is the Aqua Sana spa. You can gain access to the spa for a fee. Getting a treatment doesn't entitle you to use the spa, which is a bit mean. We did get a quick tour after our treatments and it looked nice with an outdoor pool and many facilities. I enjoyed my scalp massage even if my 25 minute session did last 2" minutes from pickup to drop off in the relaxation room I did enjoy my first trip to CenterParcs. Especially good for big groups with a lot to keep everyone happy read more

Recommend the break here. We stayed in the hotel. So peaceful as you get away from cars etc (no, I'm not a greenie). Recommend you buy the breakfast tickets up front as these will make your breakfast approx 75% cheaper, but you can only use these in the Sports Bar (opens 9am) and Cafe Rouge (less for your money, but opens at 8:30am). Lots of veggie and vegan options. On the whole the staff are generally very friendly. Plenty to explore, and use of pool with all its activities to fill the gaps. Best to book in advance on things you definitely want to do, as places are limited. Have a look on the availability of activities as not everything is for everyone. Our favorite was the climbing adventure, least favorite was the canoeing. read more
