Great holiday inn express! Clean, friendly staff, quiet, just what you expect at a holiday inn. Newer remodel on the rooms. 7 miles away from maumee state park on Lake Erie. Good running/walking paths. Hotel is tucked in off the road a bit so be sure not to pass it up

Hotel in renovation so it's a bit of a mess but that wasn't the issue. Was given room 234 which I recommend not staying in or any room on the north side of building. There's a bar next door that doesn't close until 2. Can't hear the music but every 15 minutes or so you hear a guy on a microphone announcing things. Couldn't sleep until 2. Rooms are more modern and employees are pretty friendly although I resent being given a crap room (apparently being platinum doesn't matter much either) so next time I'm in town for work I'll stick with Maumee Bay Resort where the place is dated but there's peace and quiet!

No lounging in the lobby here!

SO FED UP WITH THIS PLACE! We wanted to stay a nice hotel but that's not what we got! No one told us about the MAJOR reconstruction going on here. Not disclosing renovations on this scale when booking a room is LYING to patrons. There are stacks and stacks of furniture and appliances, holes in the walls, and construction noise before 8 a.m. It is literally in every common area- the lobby, breakfast room, elevator coves, and every hallway. They couldn't rent a POD and store all these boxes outside?! And the coup de grace? We got to have breakfast next to the construction guys in their coveralls who were also having breakfast in the breakfast room.

Right from the first meeting with Becky, we knew this was the right fit for the wedding reception. Our goal was to have all events for the weekend in Downtown Toledo and The Summit Event Center was perfect! The Hotel was a block away and all other events were close by within walking distance which made it easier for the guests. Becky is so informative and professional, always returning calls or emails within a day. Becky and her staff took so much stress out of the wedding reception planning. The free monthly tasting were so helpful. This gave us a chance to bring various people to the tastings to help choose the right food and see the venue. It also gave us an opportunity to get to know the staff. They exceeded our expectations! We wanted to customize our food and make it a fall theme. Chef Keith was so helpful and willing to figure out the right combinations of foods. The late night snack of chicken chunks and mac and cheese was a huge hit! Hannah, the Bar Manager, made a fall specialty drink with warm apple cider that was also a favorite with the guests. All of the waitstaff were attentive and polite making sure everything was as we had requested. The house DJ was an awesome choice! Having the use of the inventory of event decorations was a big money saver. We loved going thru the items to get ideas. The package pricing made it so much easier to plan the budget for the reception. Becky was so helpful in making changes to the package that fit our needs. Our families and friends had an excellent time from the delicious food and drinks to the fun dance music to the wonderful decorations, we highly recommend having an event at The Summit Event Center! Thanks to Becky, Hannah, Chef Keith and the rest of the staff! We made some awesome memories!

About 45 minutes later we were finally called up to the buffet just to find out that pretty much all the food was gone anyway. And the food that was left was cold and not at all flavorful. Find someplace else for your party. The only good thing was the bar... they pour generously.

We are here for 5 nights and couldn't be more please with the room! To start we are enjoying dinner at Brim House and Emma ( our waitress) is absolutely amazing!! The bartender, Tim, also made me a special and delicious drink!! Wow! So far so good!! Especially our King corner room with the river view. Day 2, Valet service is a real shit show. Pulled our car up and didn't brush snow off, had our check out wrong, didn't leave our vehicle running, didn't give us the fob so had to go back in. For $32 a night, so far not good. Not happy. Also after we left I received a call from the hotel, the valet had lost a bottle of prescription meds & wanted to know if we could search around the drivers seat for them. So we searched the vehicle & didn't see any meds( but seriously???). Also got 3 different answers on when the Executive Lounge is open from the front desk. Apparently it will be open for breakfast on Friday the 2nd and then closed the weekend. However, Emma our waitress from the night before was our waitress for breakfast and she was fabulous! Her attention to detail and wonder personality makes her great for customer facing service. She should really be the face of the hotel! Day 3- so the valet has lost our vehicle. After telling us it wasn't put in the system correctly & also not having the correct license plate number , they told us to go to the hotel restaurant & breakfast would be on them. That is nice but we have a place to be today as we are here for a friend's wedding and we need to go to the venue for pre wedding stuff. But here we are getting breakfast because we have no vehicle! But the nice part is again, Emma our waitress at the Brimhouse in hotel and also Holly who are both very nice and wonderful. All food pics on this are from Brimhouse in hotel in lobby level. Day 4, went to check out the Executive Lounge, this is the first day we were told it would be open for breakfast and our key didn't work, again. Had to go to front desk and get our key card retapped ( again). They didn't have breakfast at all. Just snacks and a small refrigerator with water and juice. Video shows the Executive Lounge. We also found out that the lounge is only open this morning and won't be open the rest of the weekend. So basically we thought it was nice that we were getting complimentary access and really only are able to enjoy it for one time. We are Diamond with Hilton so we wanted to really see how this hotel does Executive Lounge. Let's just say it leaves a lot to be desired. Hilton lounge would not be closed this long and especially over a holiday weekend. In order to get lounge access, outside of complimentary, one has to be a Titanium level. Honestly I would be so disappointed if I was Titanium and the lounge wasn't open and the " food" was what the video shows. We are supposed to have dinner at Brim house, 6:00pm for a party of 8 people. Stay tuned. Dinner was wonderful at Brim House and Emma was absolutely perfect. Also Thea at the bar was phenomenal! Day 5, wedding day. Bride and groom and in laws arrived last night and now Brim House is hooking me up with coffee and muffins for the bridal suite. Again Brin House has made all the other hotel crazy so worth everything. Once again Emma is taking care of us and I am very appreciative and grateful. Also connected to the hotel is Barry's Bagels and they make their bagels fresh so be sure to check them out. Day 6- checking out about 7:15 am and of course the valet charge was not removed from them losing our car, so that had to be corrected. Otherwise checkout was fine and as expected. A word of caution though to always make sure charges are correct before leaving any hotel as it can be time and challenging to take care of errors after you are home. I know this was a long review but I wanted to be thorough with so much that happened.
