*UPDATE* I started out with 4 stars on this place. I was physically happy with it. Then my girlfriend, who booked the room, text me to tell me that her credit card had been charged a random $81, TWICE! And when she went to call them, no one answered. She ended up calling corporate who never gave her an explanation as to why she was charged, but she was refunded the money. So, all in all. You can stay here, BUT WATCH YOUR BANK ACCOUNT! They seem to be sneaky. Really nice hotel! Staying here because of the Spartan this weekend. Very clean. Smelled really nice when we came in. Enjoyed the continental breakfast which had EVERYTHING! Pancakes, waffles, toast, muffins, pastries, turkey sausage, ham, breakfast burritos, scrambled eggs, omelettes, literally the best breakfast I've ever had in a hotel! So many options. Pretty decent fitness center for a hotel. Had an indoor pool but I didn't see a hot tub. Would totally stay here again! Only 4 stars because they couldn't seem to get our key cards to work. We got locked out of our room numerous times. Good thing I love the stairs!

Well the location was great because you are in the middle of everything. The bathroom have dove liguid lotion, shampoo, wash shower gel an conditioner. The water is also powerful. The bed sleep like a baby an you can bring down the shade to really darken the room. The is a night light in the bathroom so you don't have to search in the dark. It have a mini fridge, a coffee machine a tv with remote a desk with desk light an two chairs. The breakfast is a bit limited for me, no hashbrown just omelet, sausage, cereal, pancake, toast. Orange an bananas. Its the basic amarican food but the veg omelet was good an the orange an coffee. I would visit again. I did not use the other amenities but i believe there is a indoor pool. Its a busy location because you get lots of different groups, army, travelers etc an the area is very clean. The lady in the breakfast area always wipe down the area an make sure the food area is keep well. The price for a twin bed night stay was under $130 a night. An you get more benefits if you a member of the hotel, such as 2pm check out. There is also lots of parking in the front an back area. An may i say for the amount of guest the place is very quiet.

The pictures from the hotel were misleading. 2nd night here and was supposed to be here for a week. I'm really thinking to change my mind. The free breakfast was not worth it to decide to stay. The pool bottom looked old. There was NO whirlpool that it seem to have. The laundry on the 2nd floor is not working. There is a new washer that is NOT hooked up yet. NO dryer!! Can't do laundry even though the website said there was laundry. BAD!! The gym was ok but not great. You can't flush the toilet because they are using those water saving tanks so nothing really flushes. Looks like the place is trying to stay cheap. There was a little piece of pub hair in the bathroom. The decor looks very drab. The tv channels really suck. Basically, I think I need to get out of here.

    Very clean bathroom

This hotel is amazing and my favorite in the area. Always clean and well up kept. Service is great no matter what time of the day it is. Room was spacious and bed felt amazing. Bathroom was clean and they had great amenities. The breakfast was so delicious and the area was kept clean by a sweet lady. One of the best continental breakfasts I've ever had. I didn't visit the pool but I did see some other guest coming from it. They also have a fitness center and business center on the property for free access. Overall one of the best hotels in the area for a great price. I will definitely return as I have before.

Debris from the AC vent that looked a lot like rodent droppings.

While the event space itself is beautiful, my experience with the staff and catering was extremely disappointing. From start to finish, the event staff were unprofessional and rude to my guests. Several guests were told they could only have one plate despite us paying for an open buffet, which caused embarrassment. One catering staff member even pushed my mother and maintained a negative attitude throughout the event. I also became ill after eating the turkey meatballs we ordered. I do not eat beef, yet the food appeared to contain beef, causing severe stomach discomfort for me. Interestingly, my guests did not have any issues, which suggests there may have been a mistake in the preparation. I brought these concerns to the attention of the event coordinator, who I believe is the owner, Carla, but the staff's behavior was excused rather than addressed. Unfortunately, despite the beautiful space, I cannot recommend Grace Event Center due to the unprofessionalism of the staff and catering issues. I would suggest considering other venues to avoid a similar experience.

Our first time visiting, it's a beautiful place, with large windows and lit fireplaces, slightly off the path, along Rt 5 in Waldorf. If you choose to book here, I strongly recommend hiring a team to assist with setup and breakdown, booking extra time for preparation, and being prepared for unclear policies and last-minute surprises. I booked this venue four months in advance for an event originally scheduled for February 22nd. Due to personal reasons, I rescheduled to March 22nd, which was fully allowed under the contract as long as the date was available. The owner initially agreed to the change, but weeks later, she denied any record of our conversation. I had to screen-record our text exchange to prove that she had, in fact, approved the reschedule. This level of disorganization was frustrating and made me uneasy about the overall experience. From the start, communication was inconsistent and unclear. For our first scheduled venue viewing, the owner contacted me at 3:00 PM on the day of our 7:30 PM appointment and asked to move it to 6:30 PM. I agreed, only to arrive and be told to wait in my car because another couple was ahead of me. By the time she came to get me, it was already 7:30 PM--our original appointment time--making the change completely unnecessary and inconvenient. Leading up to the event, responses were delayed, vague, and sometimes contradictory. One major issue was the lack of access to the venue for proper event planning. I requested an additional walkthrough for my decorator but was repeatedly met with resistance. Instead of offering solutions, I was told to reference photos on social media. After multiple attempts, her assistant was eventually permitted to show us the space, but we were told not to ask her any questions--making the entire viewing pointless. Additionally, I received conflicting information about setup. The assistant mentioned that tables and chairs would be arranged if we provided a layout, but the owner later denied this, leaving us scrambling on the day of the event. Another miscommunication arose regarding a slideshow feature, which had been mentioned early in the booking process. I was only informed six days before the event that photos needed to be submitted at least a week in advance. Despite my best efforts, I missed the last-minute deadline by a few hours due to illness and was told the slideshow would not be done. The owner later agreed to "possibly" include it, but on the day of the event, there was no slideshow, and no communication about it. I had to follow up myself, only to be met with disappointment. On the day of the event, the venue was not in ideal condition. The walls were stained black from scuff marks left by chairs, trash was still in the kitchen and bathroom bins, remnants of tape and glitter were on the floors, and the freezer was packed with large bags of ice. Some tables and chairs were damaged. I had clearly communicated that I only needed eight tables and sixteen chairs, but when I arrived, fifty chairs were lined along the walls and the tables were stored near the sink. The owner denied receiving my request, despite proof, and stated that it was not her responsibility to remove furniture. Since there was no designated storage space for extra chairs, my guests and I had to carry each one outside to the back of the venue--only to bring them all back inside at the end of the event. While the chairs weren't heavy, the process was tedious and should not have been our responsibility. Clean-up was another issue. I was only informed the night before that trash had to be hauled to a public dumpster down the street. This last-minute notice made it difficult to plan accordingly. In the days leading up to the event, the owner seemed more focused on enforcing rules, penalties, and fees--such as a $500 charge for a lost key--rather than providing helpful guidance or customer service. Basic improvements like a PIN-code lock could eliminate this unnecessary hassle. There was no follow-up after the event--no thank-you message or acknowledgment of our booking, just complete silence. We drove from Baltimore to Waldorf to attend a cookout so that was clutch. When you walk into the entryway, the ceiling is very high and the hotel is open, airy and spacious. It gives that welcoming feeling! I like that. It also appears modern. We arrived right at check-in and there was one person in front of me, one person behind me, and there was only one receptionist at the front desk. However, she was very polite, professional, and cordial to all of us. Also, I don't know how this happened but we both forgot our toothbrushes. I went to the hotel shop to purchase some and couldn't find any. I asked, the receptionist who had him behind the counter and gave me two. That's good to know. I must say, I DID NOT appreciate having to pay $10 for parking when I parked my vehicle, it did not move, and there a huge parking lot with plenty of parking spaces. I can see if I use ballet, which they don't have because you don't need it, but I parked my car (PERIOD). It screams money grab. Aside from that, our room was spacious. The bed was nice, the air conditioning was working and everything was as it should be. We were on the fourth floor and had a perfect view of the fireworks when we got back to the room. One thing I think I should note is that there was no safe in the room. Breakfast was served in the morning along with coffee, etc. Overall, I would stay here again.
