Oh my gosh what a nice park... Clean well-kept and great people. They have a small beach on Silver Lake which was a welcome relief after a long day of bicycling or hiking. this campground is actually owned by an Airstream club and they had more AS than any place I've been. Our, 26cloud fit right in and it was very cool to see some of the older designs all still being used. Of course, all RV brands are welcome. No motorcycles, golf carts are OK. They had a number of children activities planned for the 4th of July festivities and I even saw a kids Halloween party going by. read more

Very clean and spacious park. No disappointments! Staff is awesome and willing to assist with any issues.

We wish would have known how much the sites vary. The photos are very deceiving-- our site was tiny, treeless, and very far from a bath house. The campfire ring is just a few feet from the neighbor's septic dump. We were also so far from the lake it was not practical to use. The Wi-Fi also did not work from our campsite. The bathrooms were, however, clean. read more

Well maintained campground!! Great staff. They are all friendly & helpful. Most areas are really beautiful. The prime locations by the lake are mostly seasonal sites. The ridge doesn't have a lot of big trees, so we chose loop with trees. It is right by the road. Not great but it is ok. The location is great for visiting both sides of Traverse Bay. Call way ahead if you are planning to stay for awhile. It is heavily booked on weekends. read more

This is one of the most beautiful campgrounds we've been in and we've been traveling all over the United States. The grounds are kept beautiful, the people are friendly, and everything is pristine. There is a lovely lake where you can swim or rent a boat, kayak or paddleboard. There are trails to walk and playgrounds for the children. They pick up your trash every morning. The sites are large with plenty of space for your dogs as well as great hook ups. The electricity and water work great the sewer is easy to hook up to. I highly recommend this park if you're in the Traverse City area. But plan on staying a long time because there is so much to do in this area! read more

This is our preferred campground in traverse city. The campground is clean. Staff is friendly. Sites have full hook up and are reasonably priced in and out of season. It's close to town. We have never stayed in the lake or went to the beach so I can't say much about that. My only complaint is the WiFi is pretty much unusable. read more

All appearances are such that this campground is very nice so long as you get a site in the 100s. We were in the 200s where the trees are immature,and the grass areas are beat down and bare. Fire pit and dump access are so close to one another and the neighboring sites that they are virtually unusable and unappetizing for the picnic table use that resides there. read more

We stayed here for a week and really lucked out on our site. We were originally in the 200's and got bumped to the 100's and then got bumped up to a lake view. So worth it. I do not think that we would have enjoyed it nearly as much had we originally been where we first reserved. It's a beautiful campground with loops and access to Silver lake. You can rent kayaks and the like for the day. We did not get the opportunity to as we were so busy. All sites are full hook ups and there are multiple bathrooms/showers about as well. We ended up on site 64 and it was ideal. Very shaded and quiet throughout the week. Easy access to Traverse City as you are only about seven miles out of town. read more

We just returned from a stay here Tuesday - Friday in early October. Extremely pretty site (50) on the water with very large area to park. Terraced areas for fire pit and walk down to the beach were unexpected bonuses. The site was one we enjoyed returning to after site seeing. Bath house was very close and clean. Several of the sites in the loop did appear to be seasonal sites, but they were open. The landscaping of many of them was some the prettiest we've ever seen. We would definitely camp here again and plan to as we have more we want to see in the area. Extremely convenient to the area for winery tasting tours, pub crawls, Sleeping Bear Dunes, light houses, and Interlochen. We expected to be fighting mosquitoes with abnormally high temps and being by the water, but we hardly saw any. We did have a invasion of stink bugs and we had to keep windows and doors closed to keep out the hitchhikers. Some made the trip back to Kentucky regardless. Not much you can do or expect the campground to do with regards to the stink bugs. Just be prepared that part of the year. read more

This is our favorite rv park near Traverse City . Very clean and the staff are very helpful.

They should not list WiFi as an amenity, we couldn't check our email without it taking 10 minutes to load and for the price per night we should have had better internet. -we currently have MUCH better internet at our campsite in the UP-My husband works remote while we travel and I called and they assured me they had reliable WiFi. Also, all of the swing sets and kids play areas are falling apart and need major repair, the "beach" was COVERED in goose poop and it was about $5.00 to wash and dry a medium load of laundry-took two cycles in the dryer when anywhere else it would have taken one cycle in the dryer. Would not stay here again but traverse city offers few locations for rv camping. read more

Very nice, well run and clean campground. Not far from town. A bit of road noise but we got used to that. As others have mentioned, the WiFi is spotty. If you must have it for work while here, it will be an issue. We were here during off season and if you are staying for less than a week, you might luck out on the lake. They begin taking reservations the 1st week in January for the season. Would come here again. read more

Just home from a 3 night stay at Holiday Park! Very nice, clean campgrounds. Landscaping is great. We were suppose to be in site 128 but we're upgraded to a woods site 77. Nice site with large trees and level. Only problem was road noise we could not enjoy our fire pit bc of it. Now that we have been I would look more at lake sites or at least closer to the lake. We called last minute though so we were happy to have a shaded site! Boys enjoyed riding bikes and fishing. We didn't go to the beach but the water was clear and warm! We will be visiting again! We love Traverse City and this was close to all of the attractions. read more

We stayed here for a week last year, and are scheduled to stay again this summer. It's a beautiful campground, particularly if you call early (in January) and reserve an island or lakefront site. Silver lake is beautiful, and they have kayaks you can rent by the hour or day. And the location is perfect, just minutes from downtown Traverse City and a very short drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Leelenau Peninsula, Mission Point peninsula, and the whole NW Michigan area. read more

We made our Monday through Friday reservation in April and ended up with an undesirable full sun site. Busy and loud. Long walk or bike ride to 'beach'. No pool. Lakefront lots are taken by permanent campers. read more

I've stayed at Holiday Park Campground every summer for several years now. It's a beautiful waterfront and park like setting. The office is super nice and do a great job keeping the campground clean and helping with whatever you could possibly need during your stay. I've met wonderfully friendly people there and have made life long friends. It's a great location with so much to do and see nearby. I highly recommend it for any size RV. Awesome place!! read more

Well fortunately this park was one of my favorite parks until today. Have been coming to this park for over 8 years and have always been satisfied but today changed that opinion. For my years we have taken our dogs down to the boat launch to swim and cool off. Many campers have pets let alone large dogs that need to cool off too. We were not doing anything or not in the way of anyone ever trying to launch their boats. We have very well behaved dogs and we always clean up after them. Today there was a very rude park employee that told us we couldn't let our dogs swim. He said because the seasonal pass holders would get upset and we couldn't be there. I'm sorry but we are paying guests too and have been for many years. This is unfortunate because almost all campers bring dogs. There was a very nice lady behind us that said we could let our dogs swim by the canal anytime we wanted. She was very sweet and nice and thank you to her our dogs had a good time and were able to swim. This park needs to think about this rule because many won't come back if dogs aren't allowed to swim!!! Also maybe worry about how fast people drive through the park before someone is hurt so be more of a priority then worrying about the dogs swimming in the lake!!!! Someone is going to get hurt or hit!!! read more

This place is amazing! It is very peacefully and I spend most of my summer here. The lake is beautiful! The beach is so relaxing too. It is so peacefully just sitting outside here. It is very close to most places traverse city and beyond It is dog friendly too so you can see all sorts of people walking their dogs or just walking around in general. Again this place is awesome and I highly recommend it. But one thing you have to call early because it gets very busy, and the lakefront lord fill up quick! read more

I am giving a Holiday Park campground only three stars because our experience could have been so much better. The setting was absolutely stunning and we are happy with the lot we were on. However, the campers beside us left their dog inside the whole weekend and it barked constantly. Quiet hours are not until after 11 PM so we didn't feel much could be done about the dog. Dog owners not very considerate to their pet OR to neighbors! Maybe another time, we'd have a 5-star experience here. read more

Great campground, call and reserve early and they can usually get you into a prime lakefront site, the campground is clean , there are trash cans everywhere and provide dog poop bags and the park is nicely landscaped. The park is very quiet and the seasonal owners are by and large friendly. We used to camp at a nearby state park until we discovered this place and it is completely different atmosphere , much much nicer , cleaner and quieter than the state parks and a better crowd, there are rules like any cg but I never felt bothered or harassed by mgmt or seasonal owners like you sometimes run into at other private cg's. Silver lake is beautiful and there is a nice beach to swim and they have rentals of kayaks, canoes and even stand up paddleboards, probably one of the nicest parks in the state of Mi, our family has made this a must repeat summer destination every year , I especially appreciate that they have upgraded my site every year after I make the initial reservation they have put me on a list and called to offer a better site when better site becomes available, they have not let me down yet. read more

We just stayed a week here and had a great time! Very clean and very well maintained campground. Their beach area is beautiful! It is centrally located half way between downtown Traverse City and the Sleeping Bear sand dunes so we were never very fair from anywhere we wanted to go. My only complaint is the play areas. The campground is very sprawling so play areas are not always close and the ones they do have are quite small, even the newer ones. It would be a perfect place if they invested some money into large playscapes, relative to the size of the campground. read more

Very nice well kept RV Park. Friendly Staff.. Not so quiet if you have a site along the busy highway. WIFI leaves a lot to be desired. Had to walk up to WIFI access point up the road before I could get connected. Even purchased WIFI extender which did not help. read more

I recently stayed at Holiday Park campground for 4 days. The campground is right on the shores of Silver Lake. It was an absolutely beautiful place to stay. The bathrooms were clean and well heated. (It was a bit cold this past weekend). I did not use the amenities that were offered, but there was a sewer hook up at our site, water hook up and both cable television and internet at the campground. Some of the sites are terraced so you walk up some stairs to get to the fire pit and picnic table which is actually a nice touch and provided us with beautiful views of Silver Lake. I did notice the no motorcycle signs. I would assume if a camper is riding a motorcycle that they would be tent camping. I think of this as more of an RV campground as our site was gravel with wood slats intended for the RV tires. If traveling by motorcycle the nearby State Parks...Traverse City or Interlochen would likely be better choices. read more
