WOW! ... who would have thought gas station fried chicken could rival some of the best restaurant meals? Perfectly brined, incredibly juicy, and fried to a crispy, golden perfection. Every bite delivered. We made a whole afternoon out of it, paired the meal with some beers from a local brewery called Spiral Brewery. Tried to swing by a few vintage shops in town too, but small town hours are real! They were all closed by 5pm. Oh well, just another reason to come back.

Recently Holiday opened up a new location in Cottage Grove and we have been coming here ever since. Now lets not get too crazy you might say as its just a gas station. Well, it may be a gas station, but not just a gas station. They have a nice car wash. Inside their car wash they actually have an employee that helps spray your car down when you go through the wash. Inside is your typical convenient store with some groceries, hot and cold drinks as well as hot and cold food. The one item that separates this Holiday from other locations in the area, is that they sell bait! Yes fisherman they have bait here! For those of us that used to stop at that place on 61 that closed a few years back, now we have a local place where we can get gas, snacks, drinks and bait! I can't tell you how nice this is as there are just not a lot of places besides the front or back yard, where an angler can get some bait. This is a nice bright and clean store and we will certainly be stopping here some more and every time before we go fishing!

And the topping on this cake is that the owner & her employee's always greet customers with a smile, and are always very nice and very helpful.
