Checked a Craig List offer for RV's and sent them an email. Got a response right away and we called to follow up. We asked about a Travel Trailer and was told the MSRP price, but the salesman told us that they usually discount at least 12% off that price. We followed up with a counter offer and the next day the salesman called and said that they would accept that offer. We still were working with another dealer and could not close the deal at that time. My wife and I decided that we needed to see this RV dealer and check out their operation, we drove 250 miles and saw the salesman that we had been dealing with. Closed the deal to our satisfaction and agreed to pick up the unit a week later. One week later we drove to Holiday RV and the staff helped us through the ream of paper work. The tech took us to our travel trailer and did a 1.5 hr. walk through showing us all the features and getting us to know all about our purchase. We drove out happy and delighted with our purchase. Our first stop was an RV park about 20 miles away for a shakedown of the new TT. Shortly after getting set up we discovered that the electric hot water heater didn't work in that mode. We called the tech at Holiday RV and he asked questions. We were able to use the gas function of the water heater and the tech said to stop back by on Saturday and they would check the problem. Saturday we broke camp and drove back to the dealer about 20 miles and they started to check the problem. They discovered that a wire was broken between the switch and the WH. Unfortunately the problem would require removing the refrigerator and that couldn't be done that day. We were faced with leaving the new TT and having to return next week a 500 mile round trip. The sales manager and the salesman came to our rescue and the salesman agreed to deliver out TT to our home the following weekend. To make a long story short, avoid Holiday RV Poncha Springs. From high pressure sales tactics, to an up charge at every turn, you find it all at Holiday RV. We were constantly being pressured and felt harassed at times by our salesman. He lied on multiple occasions, insisted we finance and when things weren't adding up we were charged more for paying cash. We were assured all systems were thoroughly tested. Much to our dismay the camper was still wintered at delivery. Our salesman never shook our hands, thanked us, or acknowledged us in any way after we handed him the check. There was an issue with the jacks, we were there an additional 3 hours, and he continued to ignore us. He took time to go out back and smoke and peek around the corner but still never acknowledged us or the issue we were having. I don't recommend this dealership or the salesman CODY WILHITE. Just run don't walk from this dealership! read more

I have tried for over a month to get service on a trailer that I purchased from Holiday RV. The service dept will not either pick up the phone and answer it or care enough to call you back. I would suggest ordering your trailer from some other company because they are terrible. You can wait on hold for as long as you choose, listening to Peruvian music, but they will not take the time to answer you. Not sure how they're still in business, but don't expect service from this company. read more

Doc Holiday RV in Poncha Springs, CO. !! I cannot begin to express my frustration with this business! I bought a high end awning from Carefree of Colorado to go on my living quarters horse trailer and had it installed at Holiday south in South Fork Colorado (they are an authorized distributor of carefree of Colorado). They scheduled me several months out from From August till December and then put it on improperly. The awning is automatic but will not extend without a thrust by hand when it is extended. The automatic gust protection retractor was not installed. The Bluetooth was not hooked up to it and worst of all, the Aluma shield projects up about 6 inches before it comes down to wrap the awning when it is in travel mode. Not content with the way it was installed, I sought for another authorized dealer for Carefree of Colorado and went to Poncha Springs in July. They assured me that they could fix the issue of my awning. So I was scheduled for an appointment on a Saturday six or seven weeks later in early September. The week prior to the appointment they rescheduled and moved me ahead one day on a Friday Causing me to reschedule a doctors appointment. I showed up early for the appointment in Poncha Springs. They informed me an hour and a half later that they did not have enough time to make the changes to the awning on the trailer! The technician had other plans to go hunting and told me to reschedule in the office. When I returned home, I went to Maverik and replaced the fuel that I had used in my truck while pulling my trailer it was $180. They rescheduled my appointment for Friday the 28th of October at 9 o'clock. I got a call from them today the 27th of Oct telling me that we could not help me! I spent $180 in diesel fuel going up six weeks ago without any results, wasting an entire day of my time. Furthermore, waiting six more weeks for them to reject servicing my awning! I cannot believe that an authorized distributor and dealer could be so incompetent! I have completely lost time from July until now trying to find a competent authorized dealer that can complete the installation the way it was designed. I lived in New Jersey and purchased a Lance 2375 camper trailer over the phone. I made an offer, they accepted, I sent them a check, and that was it. I told them I'd come get it as soon as I could. Four months later they called and asked if everything was okay. They still had the trailer and were worried maybe something bad happened to us. When I called back a month later, they said they'd give us a $600 credit for they the gas to drive out. When we finally got to Holiday RV, everything went off without a hitch. If everyone in the world did business like this, it'd be a much better place to live in. read more

I wish that I didn't feel the need to write this review, but Holiday RV has so disappointed us on several occasions that I believe others should be warned of their shoddy service and dishonest business practices. Our problems are too lengthy to describe in detail here, but just know that we bought our trailer from them, so they should be treating us as good customers. That has not been our experience, and now we are done with them after giving them several opportunities. The most glaring issues we have had are with the service department, both in quality of workmanship, completing the job, and double/over billing. The latest snafu involves Holiday RV ordering the wrong part for a MaxxAir fan repair and charging us almost $250 in labor to NOT install it. They claim their technician had to disassemble the fan to "discover" that they had ordered the wrong part, and then re-assemble it, and we were charged for it. No one communicated with us that the repair wasn't performed until we arrived to retrieve our trailer! I ordered the part and installed it myself in about 1/2 the time they charged us for to not install it. The have failed to satisfactorily complete several other repairs and have installed expensive replacement components without notification or authorization when all I asked them to do was diagnose the issue, also discovered when there to pick up trailer. Last time we had our trailer in for service, they double charged for over $900 in parts and labor. BTW they charge $165/hour for service and mandatory "shop supplies"! Sadly, my advice is to run (don't walk) away from Holiday RV! read more

We traded in a 2016 22 foot ultra light for a 30 foot 2016 ultra light. The transaction went with few problems. We substituted our own credit union financing which seemed to create a small issue, certainly no big deal. They have responded regarding the few questions that we had following our initial orientation. We look forward to using our new to us RV. read more

Took my damaged camper for repairs. $200 to do an estimate "to discourage shopping around." Four months later I finally got an estimate. Some of the parts weren't even right, which I noticed after paying to have them ordered. I contacted them to hold off on the order. Meanwhile they had discovered that the parts weren't available...how were they able to price out parts that didn't exist??? They refunded the cost of parts, but not the $200 good faith payment. Bad experience with Holiday RV. I consigned my Lance truck camper with Holiday RV. A little over a month later I received a bill in the mail for $1100, stating that the escape hatch over the bed had been replaced. We were charged full retail price for the parts and labor. I called to ask what had happened and was not called back. When I stopped in to ask why this had been done I was told that there had been crazy winds at the location and it had blown off. I think it was very poor business for Holiday RV to- 1- not inform us that our unit had been damaged on their lot 2- give us any options for repair 3- Perform the repair on the unit *without* getting authorization from us 4- Just mail us a bill with NO explanation at all 5- And then not call back when I called to ask about the bill. My concerns when I stopped by were dismissed by the GM, and when my wife stopped by she was told, not our responsibility, just pay us! Making a goodwill gesture since Holiday RV had screwed up in communicating about the issue might have gone a long way. No gesture was made. The window in question had been driven across country (at 80mph across Nebraska and in large thunderstorms in Illinois and Iowa) last June and had been parked at our house in the wind that blows across the valley all winter without any issues. I certainly think it possible someone was looking at the camper, opened the window and failed to fully latch it shut, and then it got windy. But that can't be proven. I have had reasonable dealings with the sales staff and parts and service people at Holiday RV, but management sucks and doing business this way is wrong. Stay far away!!! read more

After discovering a slow leak in the water compartment of our travel trailer, we took it to Holiday RV for repair. Over a week later they called for us to pick it up. We paid our $300+ bill and drove away, excited for our next weekend adventure. A week ago we took that adventure, and as soon as my husband attached the pressure regulator and turned on the water, we heard a disturbing noise. The water compartment was spewing water everywhere. We turned it off immediately, and I went inside to see water all over the floor in the bathroom as well. We opened the access panel and saw the pipes were not even connected, and two white plugs sat loose in the rear heater compartment. Needless to say, we were not happy that our first evening was spent cleaning and prepping for using the bucket system for our water needs that weekend. The manager said she'd take care of it when we brought it back. We dropped it last Sunday evening and were told it was ready on Thursday. When we picked it up yesterday, the office gal didn't know where our trailer hitch was (not a big deal, it was in one of the compartments, but her 'not my job' attitude was unpleasant). Then she attempted to school us on the faulty part, and how the "white valves" were being replaced with the "black valves." We didn't really care...we just wanted our water system to work. While hooking up our trailer, the mechanic walked over, faulty valve in hand, and proceeded to tell us more about the valve problem. His attitude was aggressive, and he seemed irked, as if somehow we were to blame for the failure. He then said, "You still need to go in the office and pay. You only paid for half the work that was done last time." "You're wrong," my husband told him, and explained how much we had already paid for a job that clearly hadn't been done the first time. At that point, the mechanic said, "Don't bring it back!" and walked away from us. If this is the way Holiday RV treats local customers (we're an hour away), we'll take our business to Denver. We couldn't be more disappointed in the horrible service and the intimidating interaction we had with this individual. Stay away. read more

Shopped a few dealers for a Lance traveler trailer. I called and received a far lower price than any other dealer I was very excited and opted to drive 3 hours to consumate the deal and after going through the figures everything changed. All of sudden there were extra fees and charges totaling over $3000.00. Never again!! read more

We have taken our trailer for repairs twice. Neither repairs were emergencies. Both times they were quick and very courteous. They are the only true RV repair service within 75 miles. They don't have to be this good...but they choose to be this good. read more

We needed emergency electrical repairs on our travel trailer. We were on a camping trip and managed to jackknife the trailer while backing up and fried the electrical connections. We were able to limp out of the back woods and into town and the great folks at Holiday RV got us fixed up and back out in no time. Lance was our repair guy and he was the greatest - very knowledgable and was able to fit us in even though we just kind of showed up needing help. The cost was reasonable, much less than I was bracing for, as both the towing vehicle and the trailer needed attention and they could have charged me for unnecessary repairs and I would have had no way of knowing. Worst customer service ever. Rented a trailer from them for dry camping, they KNEW we didnt have a genetator. First night at midnight the carbon monoxide detector starting going off. Spent an hour trying to figure out why. Since they were closed on Sunday we lived with that horrible beep for 2 days. Found out that if the battery goes under three fouths full it will do that. They said they told us and that the only thing they would do is rent us a generator for $25 a day. They NEVER told us. Seriously, do they think we would just say OK and listen to the beep for 2 days with young kids. Do NOT rent from them! read more

Sales woman and service people were great! Feel like we got a decent deal on our trailer..... This poor review is being given to the GM Dara Kort, and how she poorly represents Holiday RV. I contacted Dara to make her aware of some PPW missing and a problem with the date on our temp tag. I was Mocked for being in the Car Business, I was insulted numerous times, Discriminated against for my age clearly.... and HIGHLY OFFENDED by how this woman treated me over the phone! She said "I am the only one at the dealership that can do PPW so I printed your temp tag and docs before I left for vacation, I cannot void or backdate your temp tag" (side note temp tags CAN BE VOIDED and Redone/Reprinted) More than once she said to me "you working for a dealership, I assumed you would know...." MOCKING!!!! Then the icing on the cake of the conversation.... when I AGAIN addressed that my temp tag should be issued AT THE TIME of PPW or AFTER PPW.... NOT BEFORE I SIGN.... SHE SAYS THIS TO ME!!! "I have a solution for you, I will offer you a short term personal loan so that you can go buy your plates for your trailer since this is clearly a money issue" EXCUSE ME?????? DID I REALLY JUST HEAR THAT????? I JUST BOUGHT A $40,000+ Trailer and that is what I was just told????? I am in utter disbelief!!!!!! I told her that I was extremely Offended and that I would be contacting the owner.... Her response you might ask?? " I have clearly offended you and I encourage you to contact Steve the owner.... I just got back from a trip to Spain with him.... Please DO call him" WOW!!!! I will NEVER REFER ANYONE to Holiday RV as long as Dara is the GM!!
