Explain to them that my dog was in Dire Straits and practically on his deathbed, and we were unable to do that. I never heard back. After my dog passed I then emailed again and requested a refund as I like everything in writing in case people try to lie. I never heard back yet again. Very upsetting.

My only possible complaint is that we did a redundant X-Ray while checking for issues with her organs because I assumed it would include her limbs and tail. It didn't while costing more than everything else like the bloodwork and urine test, but that's my fault for not being specific, and I'm the one who brought it up in the first place. There was no need for it anyway as far as the vet and nurse could tell from just feeling her paws, legs, and tail, at least in terms of finding things that might be causing her pain. While they don't matter in my case, I do also wish the X-Rays would also be sent automatically in the Email with the PDF covering the examination, just to have them. I'll likely have to ask for them separately if I want them.

We were put in a room and waited for hours without even a brief exam to rule out something so serious. I understand emergency hospitals can get busy but there was no sense of urgency, very little communication and the overall attitude from the staff felt indifferent and unwelcoming. After waiting for hours, I made the difficult decision to leave because I genuinely felt like I was losing precious time with my dog. We drove to another emergency animal hospital, where the staff immediately assessed her and treated us with kindness and compassion. Thankfully, it turned out to be GI irritation and not bloat. If we had stayed here any longer and it had actually been bloat, the outcome could have been devastating. No pet owner should be left sitting for hours wondering if their dog has a life threatening condition without even a quick initial assessment. Based on my experience, I would not trust this hospital with another emergency.
