I came out from San Francisco to visit Santa Cruz for the first time. I was staying one night here, and was thinking, "Why not treat myself for this 2 day retreat during this busy work stress season," and found O'Shin healing spa. I called to see if they had an appointment today. I wanted to see Eida, who was actually the owner. However, she only walked until 2 PM. But I was able to see Sandra, who was very humble, super nice, and welcoming. Sandra is wonderful. I only had an hour for the full body massage, had requested on specific areas. Like the neck and the feet. She worked on those focus area for an hour and was great. I told her a little bit of my TMJ, she's very informative and told me how I can do home remedies massages for myself, as well as certain areas that we found were tender as she did some pressure points, and told me how to straighten my muscles. After the session was done, my feet felt great after standing for eight hours yesterday at work. My neck also feels very relaxed, I came in with tension and tightness, and she helped me loosen it up. Overall experience, highly recommend anyone that you see here, is all professionals with excellent technique. Only thing I wish before coming, was to let me know that it's only Venmo, PayPal, Zelle payments and that they didn't take credit cards. There were lots of parking in the space is very spacious. I was a little underwhelmed by the exterior of the location, only because I was in the mood for upscale but didn't mind. I had my apt with Natalie and she arrived very kind and attentive. I can't say enough good things about my massage therapist, Jo Ann, whom I've been seeing for several months. She has such a pleasant and calm demeanor that immediately makes me feel relaxed before my massage even starts. Her massages are thorough with just the right touch and she is accommodating to make sure I am comfortable and enjoying my massage. I usually have some kind of issue (soreness or tightness somewhere!). Jo Ann is great about zeroing in on those areas. I always feel like melted butter when I leave.
