He failed to provide any specific plan for me, simply scribbling on a white board about how my adrenals were likely fatigued. Zero insight into a tailored plan for my specific needs; no real plan forward at all. He simply wanted me to agree to one of a few generic treatment options that ranged up into the tens of thousands of dollars. He only reinforced my skepticism of this 'science'. He was nice enough, though I suppose it's easy for one to be nice when trying to get a lot of money out of you, again with zero specifics or any real plan in place. He could be a fine chiropractor but when it comes to actual medicine, it seems as though he is purely a salesman of supplements, expensive lab tests, and lifestyle recommendations. Oh, and then the only follow-up I received from him or his team was constant spam from a mailing list they placed me on without my knowledge/consent. My takeaway from this experience? - this practice offers costly, scientifically unproven alternative/"functional" medicine at best and, at worst, it's a calculated effort to exploit vulnerable people for lucrative financial gain. This was my yearly Dr for a few years…read more Pros: I like that she's slightly more holistic than your average MD. She doesn't push meds on you, etc. The front desk/ physicians assistant (?) are generally nice people, though it is a bit of a revolving door. The office is small. It is only one Dr. Cons: I've waited for 2+ hours past my appointment time without so much as an apology. Dr is a bit unprofessional. For example, I've mentioned I have hydranetis suppurativa and she said, "Why? You not hairy!" She didn't know that or not- but even if I am- that has nothing to do with it. It's auto immune disorder. She's almost made comments like, "Oh, your weight went up! Every year your weight goes up" and giggled about it. Very strange. A while back I asked her opinion on medical marijuana or CBD oil and she said "Oh people just want to get high". There are thousands of professional papers written that refute this. Dr does not remember you (which is fine), but doesn't even seem to review her notes. Every year I had to repeat my entire medical history and it was extremely annoying. She'd write it all down and then next year it was like, I know nothing about your medical history, let's start all over again. When you go for yearly checkup, she won't tell you your results for your bloodwork unless you physically go in the office and pay a copayment. Thankfully labs email you your results. That's about all I have for now. She's not horrible, but not the greatest. I'm still on my quest for finding good doctors in south Florida. It is no easy feat.
