This is such a beautiful park! I drove past this park once and since then I've always liked coming back when I'm in the area. The views are amazing as it overlooks the rest of the valley. The area is calm and up and coming as well, they have basketball courts in the park, a playground for kids, bathrooms, picnic tables and a walkway to get a little stroll in. I read by other helpers there are dogs running loose in the park but I haven't seen that. Maybe it's the time I go, but there are signs to have dogs on leash at all times. Parking lot is small and can get full quick. Overall, nice park and worth checking out.

    Dogs must be ON LEASH

Great park but NOT an off leash dog park. Imagine bringing your kids (who are terrified of dogs) to kick the soccer ball while there are 8 LARGE off leash dogs running around from one corner of the grassy area to the other. I politely told a few of the owners and their arrogant comments made it clear they didn't give a $h!t. The group of 8 realized I then called the authorities and leashed their dog, so I let this one remaining lady know bc I felt bad if the cops showed up and she got in trouble... then she laughs and tells me she's been doing this for two years. Good job dummy! Keep your dog on a leash, you're supposed to.

This is a great neighborhood park with a shaded play area, basketball courts, restroom facilities, picnic tables and benches, and a large grassy area with a paved trail for walking. There's a parking lot but spots can fill up during peak times. It does get busy here but it's a nice and spacious park to bring your kids or your dog or just yourself to burn off some energy.

This local park has a view of the surrounding mountains and a nearby canyon. It has a large field for families to play and walk around. It seems to be in a middle to upper-class neighborhood.

Peace and quiet until that jerk allows his aggressive dog to walk off leash!

Great park. Love coming here. My only issue is other dog owners and that's why I am giving this 3 stars PLEASE READ DOG PEOPLE: IF YOU HAVE AN AGGRESSIVE DOG, DO NOT LET HIM/HER OFF LEASH!!! I walk my little dogs here and it seems on every occassion, there's that one douche who allows his agressive dog to roam off leash. Be warned, that if your mean dog comes up to any of my friendly unassuming dogs, I will do whatever I need to do to keep them safe. Best believe, cops will be called and we will be in court. Dog owners have a responsibility especially when you are in a public park to handle their dogs. If you know your dog likes to attack other dogs, why in the world would you let them walk off leash or be around a park with kids??? What's wrong with you people? I'm sure you're also the same people who don't pick up your dog's poop too. Please do everyone in this nice community a favor, walk your dog on a leash or outside the park to keep this park safe for everyone! Fyi: I used to have a timid dog who got aggressive around other dogs so I'd walk him on secluded hiking trails away from playgrounds and parks! I'd NEVER let him off leash when we were out so it can be done, you can still take your dog out just take the extra time needed to keep him and everyone else safe!!! There are no excuses for being a jerk.

Like why?? How lazy are you to not throw away the trash..

It's a great location that's generally clean and family friendly. Lately however people are just being careless by leaving trash when there's literally bins all over. Love taking my dog here because of all the grass space.

My son had a great time riding his little bike. Great place with lots of open space. Nice Mountain View to enjoy while exercising or taking a brisk walk around the park.

This park is 10 min from my house but so incredibly worth the extra few minutes. The scenery is beautiful and the park is not as crowded as some other places. Its a perfect place to come to after work and school for me to relax and my daughter to get her energy out. It is clean and very well maintained. They have huge fields for either baseball or soccer, basketball courts, and even a work out area. This will definitely be our go to park.

Great playground, nice open field to play in, plenty of parking, great over look area of the town below, basketball courts, water fountains, benches, work out equipment, basketball court, tons of grass and trees- fun area with lots to do and plenty of space to have your own area!

The view was spectacular at night and it s a very safe park as it is secluded in porter ranch but the ground is falling apart and the equipment is "under construction" and not well maintained so the stars are really only for location and view.

A couple of things that could be better: It's a dirt/sand path, so wear shoes you don't mind getting dusty--unless you want to spend each day cleaning them. It's usually around 6,000 steps for me--though that varies--and roughly 400 calories burned (but don't quote me on that!). Overall, it's about a 45-minute hike/jog with ups and downs--just enough to get your heart going, and then you can treat yourself to a city-state after. Pretty good overall--highly recommend it!

It used to be free but it's $6 per person and you have to park on the street, but no big deal here . . . yet. Our group of 3 walks up along with another person and we try to check in with 2 men at a table. One older gray haired man tells us the tour already started. I'm completely confused and look at my watch, and say, "it's only 3 minutes after the start time." Then he says, "We were looking for you!" I said, "Well, you weren't looking very hard because here we all are checking in at the start of the tour." After he checks us in, I ask if we can sprint to catch up to the tour and he says yes. I lean into the doorway and see the rest of the tour - 4 other women right there. So half the tour was 3 minutes "late" and they decided to start, weird but moving on. The woman leading the tour was really quite lovely and I wasn't expecting the house to be so amazing since I was focused on the garden part but I really loved learning about the house and original inhabitants. We are asked several times if we want to join the meditation but I'm getting culty vibes and we keep politely declining. Once we are outside, we are asked again if we would like to join the meditation and now the gray haired man is with us again and I said, "No, we really just wanted to see the gardens." At this point he says, "Oh the gardens are closed." I'm completely confused again and said, "What? But that's why we came-- to see the gardens & labyrinth." He then says, "Oh! well the labyrinth is open but the gardens are closed." At this point I think they asked us to join the meditation again. I asked when they expected them to be opened and the response was June of this year, maybe because there have been a lot of delays. Again, weird, but okay we just want to walk the labyrinth. There were a couple of other women walking it and then our group of three joined too. I'm halfway thru it and I look up and see the gray haired man STARING at us - which included 3 preteens/teens in halter tops posing and taking pix - and I was so incredibly creeped out. I had no idea what to do, cross the labyrinth? ask him what he is staring at? I came to this place to ground and do something calming and now I have a man staring at me and other women but since everyone else was looking down or at their phone, they didn't notice so I didn't want to disrupt THEIR experience. Eventually he went away, to join the meditation I guess. We finished the labyrinth and left. It was only $6 but since it didn't mention the gardens were closed on the website or ticket, I am asking for a refund. Would I go again when the gardens are open? Yes. Would I recommend to others? Yes. Would I advise against it as a single woman? Also yes. I will update if they refund us or not.

He was very passionate about the mountains and worked tirelessly to preserve LA's history and nature. He helped to obtain over 50,000 acres of land for the public, which most of is now parkland. But the second you actually spend time here, especially on a weekend, it turns into something completely different and honestly pretty disturbing. The park gets insanely packed, which already makes everything feel chaotic, but the real issue is the condition of the facilities. The restrooms are beyond unacceptable. Not just "oh it's a public park" bad, but genuinely shocking, like something that makes you stop and question how this is even allowed to stay open. I'm talking about conditions that feel neglected to the point where it's uncomfortable just being nearby, let alone going inside. I went into two different restrooms thinking maybe one was just unlucky... nope, both were equally disgusting. I'll be posting pictures because it honestly doesn't feel believable otherwise. It gives off this weird in-between vibe where you don't know if you're at a city park or some kind of neglected shelter space, and that's not something anyone should feel at a place like this. What really made it worse for me is walking into the recreation building with the basketball and volleyball courts and realizing it's the same story inside. Worn down, under-maintained, and just lacking any sense that the city is actually investing in it. Meanwhile, you literally have the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust right there being renovated and cared for, which just makes the contrast even more frustrating. How is that level of attention happening on one side, but the actual park people use daily feels ignored? It's honestly disappointing because this place has so much potential. The location alone should make it one of the best parks in LA, but instead it feels like it's being left behind. I hate to say it, but I probably won't be coming back. There are just too many other parks where you don't have to deal with this level of neglect.
