I took an introductory pottery wheel class with Caroline. Setting up the appointment online was easy, and there were many time slots available. The studio has ample parking since it is located in Hampton Station, a charming little outdoor area.

Great local business to support! Would love to take an adult class soon, but have seen their work at several markets around town. Went this visit for a kids birthday party. The girls had such fun and the teacher did a phenomenal job keeping different age groups caught up to each other. We got our birdhouses back from the kiln and they turned out wonderful.

Finally...I took the intro pottery class... spinning wheel and all! Located in the Hampton station warehouse. I signed up online and our group was given a tutorial demonstration by our instructor Ben...he was very patient . When it came time to making the pottery..we each had our own wheel, we were coached along the way and you are allowed to make two pieces. It is very relaxing... The class is 90 minutes , $50 for the intro course . Finally at the end ...you leave your pieces, they fire them up and even paint them for you ( you pick them up in two weeks) Give it a try.!

My fiancé and I took the intro class for my birthday a few weeks ago. It was his first time using the wheel and we both made 2 functional pieces. The instructor, Trina, did a very good demonstration and helped everyone with the process. I believe everyone in the class made at least 1 functional piece (you're given 2 attempts) The staff at the desk was friendly as well! I have a few critiques however... we did feel rushed towards the end so we felt our pieces didn't come out as well as they could've. I know there is a only a certain amount of time, but if the demo was shorter we maybe wouldn't have felt this way. Also, I believe we were only given 1 lb of clay. After making mistakes with the same lump, we both felt like we were left with not enough in the end to create our bowls/mugs, especially knowing they would shrink a lot in the firing process. We also would've maybe liked more freedom in the choice of glazes. For the price it would've been nice to have more than 4 choices (green, white, black, and sand- we both chose sand). All in all it was a fun experience, we just felt like a longer class/more freedom would have helped it reach the price point. I would do it again if it weren't for this reason.

Great outing to take the family, plus you have something to show for your efforts. Eli was a great teacher... very patient and helpful.

I had never used a wheel before so I was a little nervous, but she was patient and helpful and made it feel easy.
